Actually, yah. You guys might be right.
I just hate how small these images are. Have to squint so much =/

Also, what is the little arrowy symbol on the left of the skillbar? I play with controllers by choice so I dunno what the keyboard skillbars really look like, but I don't remember seeing that before.
That's the PCs "change hotbar" button. You can bind it to a keyboard, or disable it. I've disabled mine so I don't have it :P
I'm still "secretly" hoping they would raise the skill cap of Dragoons, if only to justify kicking Monk's arse...
Even nowdays I see T13 groups on PF that won't take Dragoons, but only Monks and Ninjas, and I really want that to change, which does seem possible now that HW is behind the corner and we all get new skills, so who knows how much damage different classes will be able to dish out.
Suffice to say that Battle Litany is giving me hope the most.
Really though aside from being position locked MNK rotation is no more difficult than DRG (though it has more variations due to different buff timings).
I'd much rather they go for priority complexity rather than rotation complexity...its not really more fun to have for instance, unwieldy buff timings or say a 3rd rotation to fit in. It would be better if there was
1. A resource or buff that can be actively used and consumed.
2. A proc that reset some cooldown in a non "obviously use this immediately" manner.
3. Some sort of dot interaction or extension at the cost of TP/gcd/dpct.
4. Some sort of fun AoE interaction that is more than "spam my aoe until i'm out of TP". For instance, "for every target hit, X% chance of making the next aoe 0 TP" or "WHile under <new stance>, Circle of thorns (seriously who uses this) also applies Chaos Thrust to targets hit"
I always use Ring of Thorns after a well placed Heavy Thrust, because it gets a potency bonus, is easier to hit enemies with, and costs less TP than Doom Spike.
But how will we handle AoE situations in HW? I kinda want to hit that group with Geirskogul, but I also want to hit it with Doom Spike. What do?
My guess is that it'll be situational (ohrly?).
Like, in a Dungeon, you have a sack pull that, after dies, you'll pull the boss. In a mass mob situation, we usualy don't hit IDC combo, just spam HT>RoT or DS, depending of how much time will take for the mob dies, TP management, etc, etc.
In this case, I can see a Dragoon using HT, Blood of Dragoon, RoT, Geirskogul, and than DS, DS, DS... or something like that. This way, we can maximize or DPS and give it time to BoD be available when this mobs dies / next fight begins. Or we could just spam DS until BoD is almost falling, and then Gerskogul, if there would be time for it to come off CD by the time next fight begins.
Anyway, lot's of possibilities.
Looked so much cooler in the benchmark, does benchmark use in game graphics? Cuz it seriously looked a lot cooler there.
Benchmark is a test of game graphics. I think you're just admiring cinematography there.
As a more mundane CD found in the image, it looks pretty baller to me.
