I'm digging and digging and still, cannot see any raid utility adition to Dragoon. Some fancy skills, yeah, maybe huge damage...
But Ninja is getting even more utility (and a minor "nerf"), and Monk getting it's "flaws" covered.
So far, I'm pretty disapointed with Dragoon news.
No traits? That's lame. Was hoping for at least 30sec Phlebotomize and maybe a buff to Invigorate seeing as MNK is getting TP back from Chakra and use Invigorate (was hoping for a recast reduction or something).
I do hope this is just a case of lacking information... After I took a closer look what each class gets in HW, it really looks to me that Monks will still continue to overshadow Dragoons.
I think it's a lack lack of information if I'm honest with you. Each job by the sounds of it is getting 6-7 new skills or so, from what we've seen thus far. We only know of 4.
Well since MNK will have Chakra and Invigorate, our endurance will drop comparatively. I guess DRG was a bit unique in that we could get a few more actions out due to 500TP Invigorate.
Also as an aside, using the various dps sets in your list Dervy, i think most of them have <390 skill speed, or am I mistaken? Is the 9 GCD during b4b overrated?
Hitting 9 GCDs compared to 8 GCDs within BfB is a resultant 0.7%-1.4% dps increase.
This is significant if you're talking about like, 10 skill points, but not really in the grand scheme of things.
Perhaps one of the new skill will cost no tp, just like Inner Beast/Steel Cyclone for War
