Yep. If you use a Grade 3 Shroud soil on Krakka root it has a chance of producing a ton of seeds, but keep in mind that since you aren't using Thanalan soil the chance of them crossbreeding is much lower.

So, just for fun, I didn't fertilize a Thavnairian Onion at all.
It takes 10 days and approximatively 1,5 hours to grow.
Just wanted to throw this up here (from the LftP Live XVI):
Of course, that sounds just like what people in this thread HAVE been doing, but the devs keep saying we haven't figured something out yet...Quote:
Q: I feel that the cost and difficulty for cleaning stables and growing food for chocobo raising is too high. Can you make adjustments so this is more accessible?
A: Komoto: For cleaning stables we will do as I just mentioned. Again, I am very sorry. In regards to vegetables, we feel it's just right at the moment, but I think that the methods for growing these vegetables haven't been completely uncovered just yet. As there are no HQ items that can be grown from krakka root seeds, we'd like players to try and use shroud soil and such to increase their yield.
Maybe he's implying that there's a way to get the chocobo food seeds as a guaranteed result.
Yea, they should have a title like fishminator or sth the like for masacrating 50k anchovies into fishmeal xD
yea but if you have a cook lvl 3 you can make the meal from fish and even if 250 gil for 12 fishmeal vs 10-60 gil for 3 anchovies for 12 fishmeals doesn't look like much, if you consider the massive amount of fishmeal involved in the long run you can save a few 100k by producing yourself.
There's got to be a cross on Thav onions that produces curiel root just like Apricot for Sylkis bud. I'm currently trying popoto and mirror apple.
Out of curiosity, has anyone tried planting/tending/fertilizing/harvesting exclusively as a botanist? After spending weeks growing mimett gourd and glazenut seeds to cross for the onions I was pretty disappointed to only yield 3 thavnarian onion seeds from a possible 14 intercrosses. Wondering if you did the gardening on the class that's supposed to be the plant experts if you could increase your yield rates..... Currently in between houses as we sold our medium and the fc to get a large and we haven't gotten to rank 6 on new fc yet so I can't test it myself.
