Ideal part to start rotation
hey i just got thinking the other day as i was doing some gex speed runs, what is the ideal place to start a drg rotation if given the ability to start whenever we wanted including mid combo
This can occur in a few fights where the boss becomes invulnerable for short time period of time, we cant do dmg, apply dots or get buffs up, HOWEVER we can go through our combos. for the sake of simplicity lets say that HT will not carry through from the previous phase so you are basically starting dry.
So far i can think of 3 possible courses of action with this and im curious as to which one would bring the most dps, each has ups and downs and im to busy recently to math out which one actually comes out ahead
1. pre combo up FT and then start with it, reasoning = why not hit with our hardest hitting insta hit? downsides = all buffs will be delayed by 1 gcd because of this
FT->HT->ID->Diss->CT->phleb (follow through with rest of rotation)
2. pre combo up Diss, reasoning, get both diss and CT up faster, helps bards a bit. downsides = CT without HT, HT technically gives 15% compared to diss ~11%
DIss->CT->HT->phleb->TTcombo (follow through with rest of rotation)
3. just roll like we normally would
HT->ID->Diss->CT->phleb->TTcombo (follow through with rest of rotation)
thoughts?
