I do agree that the faces are quite boyish and feminine, but it's also a good thing too! I can't wait to see many non-binary looks.

I would have liked an older face, so that's what I went with my bunbun boi. I think I did pretty good.

Im honestly salty that we didn't get the female viera ears 1, I was really convinced I was gonna use them xD. I think the first ones look coolest tho, they seem the most wild ones to me.

But has anybody noticed that the ninja bunny artwork, Yoshi showed in the LL, used a hairstyle, that Viera can't use at the moment?

Yes. As he showed it he also said "This is a Viera and yes, we are adding a few more hairstyles as you can see. Sorry it took so long". The haircut on screenshot was the short tail from Gold Saucer, so it's not available for preview in benchmark sadly (as benchmarks never include unlockable hairstyles), so until 6.0 we can only guess if they added all unlockable haircuts or only part of those.

Also a skirt thingy over pants.

I made it a sort of defining rule for my Au Ra's glamours, actually – bare midriff wherever possible and ideally skirts or sashes attached. Considered as "traditional cultural dress" (as that's how the lorebook describes it) with a side of "I don't care what gender you think it's appropriate for".

Which is a roundabout way of saying, based on starter gear it's a niche I might have put my hypothetical Viera in if I didn't already have a character in it. Though I do have other style plans for him – hopefully he'll look good in the Expeditioner's Tabard and things like that.

I hate to say it, but I think they might be.

The vambraces might be the right length to be elbow-length gloves, but it's 50/50, and I would bet on the boots being attached to the pants, probably at that seam across the thighs – though that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I like the "baggy pants tucked into knee-length boots" look and it's actually incredibly hard to find pants that do that instead of being sucked into the boots unnaturally. This setup would let you have that effect on any pants.

On the other hand it might mean that dye affects the cloth but not the metal, or both together.

Edit to add: There are a few other existing pieces that have a "clawed feet" look to them, like the Sky Pirate fending boots, and I feel like that looks silly on my other characters but here it's going to be "heck yes more culturally appropriate boots".

I am kind of surprised by that, though honestly all of the male Viera faces are very good! Face 1 and 2 are definitely my favorites but they have such different vibes. I do like how soft face 2 is though!

Yeah that face is really lovely, I played around with it for a while, but face 3 is my fav so far. What stats did you use to get that face? When I tried face two it ended up looking so round it put me off it.

I’m trying to figure out what the least popular face is. Mainly because when fem viera came out people seem to not like face 2 but I gave it a chance and grew to love it where I only want to make face 2 vieras. She also stands out compared to all the other vieras.
As of right now, there seems to be a good mix of faces for male viera but it looks like face 2 isn’t as popular as the rest. But once endwalker drops this can all change.

I'd say that from what I've seen, the face are more or less, in terms of popularity: 1>3>4>2, which surprises me a ton seeing how the face 3 (the cutesy one) in male miqote is pretty popular all things given

I was put off of it for the same reason at first! But then I messed around with it more and really ended up liking it. These are the stats I used!
Jaw:1
Eye Shape: 3
Eyebrows: 2
Nose: 1
Mouth: 1

The male viera are just stunning, the customization options (eye lash tint) is a nice touch. I wish I could make mine already but I play on PS5, but rest assured I would be a floppy eared male bun bun come November.

I’m seeing a lot more face 3s so it might end up the most popular. Though face 3 does have some weird lighting issues in the benchmark cutscenes so that may also change. But yeah I’m surprised by the lack of face 2 since it is the cutesy one.
