Anything to rectify housing problems, all players must at least have something nice to look forward to, if he/she cannot purchase a plot, a small starter apartment unit upgradable to a large area apartment unit with comparable size balconies are available.

Also;

Since players will be building their own designs with their rooms, i suggest that "loft" furnishing is able to carry all indoor furnishings not just tabletops.

Yea, I think the best path for SE going forward would be to focus on making apartments better.

Please, a way to save housing layouts. Perhaps a glam plate for housing. Given the amount of data it might put on as a strain, 3 save slots. Which would cover FC/Personal/Apt. Or for those who can only have an apt, it would still be 3, just 3 save slots for said apt. layout.

If the items are not available on the player via storage or inventory, the placement could be purple or invalid like when trying to put down an item and it's OOB or against something it can't be clipped to.

Moving forward from an upgradable apartment area, from the basic studio area apartment priced at 500k, that has an option to upgrade to a large area apartment priced at 40M. An instanced proportionately sized balcony should be made available for both apartment types.

There are walls on both sides as well as the ceiling of the balcony, but still have a panoramic outdoors view, possibly having a sunrise or sunset view depending on the wing where the unit is located.

Giving the feeling that you have a personal space balcony, though you will not see neighbor's balconies it still gives that feeling of other homeowner's behind the walls on the sides and on top of the ceiling.

Can we get more maid and butler versions of vendors and menders? >w>

In line with requests to increase the number of furnishings for estates and private quarters, as well as improving apartments to have an option to upgrade to a large area apartment as well as an instanced balcony.

I suggest that all estates be redesigned to have 2nd floors. And just call houses as Private Estate (small), (medium), or (large).

plus please make every item a table top so we can have more freedom when placing things seriously shouldn't have to use the house glitch for a plushy in my bed lol also make the lofts count as the ground allowing beds and tables on them.

and For the love of mages add more magic theme items for homes and interal effects for example Goldbite,lava internal water like a river placeable also please add upgrade for space

for example 500k in a room would make it a large room/apartment 1mill would make it extra large
and 2-3mil for penthouse size rooms,apartments

When housing was first released, you could log out or queue for a dungeon then come back inside your house/room. It was apparently too much for the servers back then.

Lol, I remember the dreaded 90002 error XD. That and we could use /shout to talk to other players on other worlds O.o

I tried to search for these so I apologize if they're already in but I think you could get a bit of fun out of pipes, like water / steam pipes that you can place against walls (object or literal). Could give it an interaction to twist a knob but that'd make it leak steam or water lol.

Another thing I would like to see is an interior feature where we have the option, not mandatory, to split space up according to floor plans complete with doors, windows, and walls (or just walls and doors) without having to put down a single partition. They would vary based on house size and style and the walls on them would function as walls on the room at large so you could put up wallpaper inside that's different from the main space.

That would free up considerable slots used in partitions currently, and allow for some reconfiguration of the interior without actually having to redo the whole interior floor plan.

Alternatively, we could try doing this room by room for even greater customization, but that might get excessively complicated.

In case SE decides just to increase the number of wards. New players should still be assured of something nice to look forward to in terms of housing alternatives, that is just as pleasing if not on par with plot housing.

Apartments their Buildings, Flats, Sorroundings, and Amenities should be improved.

The Building/s should showcase the architecture of the city state they are located, one should be able to run around the building and see how it looks like and not just see the front gate.

The Flats should be upgradable from the default studio type with a medium sized balcony area priced at 500k, to a large area apartment for e.g. 40M, that can be divided to easily fit 3 rooms, as well as having a large balcony instanced area.

The Sorroundings should highlight the most beautiful landscapes of the apartments' city state location.

The Amenities, apart from the default npc, mb, summoning bell, and mailbox, if possible have an allotted 1 deluxe sized garden plot for the default studio sized apartment, and 2 deluxe sized garden plots once the flat is upgraded to a large area apartment. Also, stables that are always clean.:cool:

Sell large apartments. They could have twice the floor space and cost 1 million gil.

With an exterior design mechanic similar to the HOH tower, you can move around the exterior of the tower and even see it from a distance, but the apartment units and balconies are instanced, they could probably design the exterior walls of the building to make it appear as though it had balconies for each room.

The Flats, to have the already existing design mechanic, "Entrance to Additional Chambers" enabled (so no need to redesign the flat to make it upgradable)

But limited to e.g. 10 chambers, the only options would be "Purchase Additional Chamber and Move to Specified Chamber"

Consequently it will not include a workshop. The additional chambers can be purchased by the owner of the flat at his/her discretion.

Also, Indoor gardening should be implemented, and enabling some outdoor furniture for indoor use should be implemented as well (so no more need to redesign for instanced balcony)

The Sorroundings should highlight the most beautiful landscapes of the apartments' city state location.

The Amenities, apart from the default npc, mb, summoning bell, and mailbox. The location must have its own aetherite, and connected to other city states via airship, and places to hold in game events, as well as, stables that are always clean.

For Private Estates:

I suggest for the coming expansion, that the building area (the highlighted area on a vacant plot), would have "preset" adjustble* options, for the plot owner to select or rotate (like when one is arranging the angle of furnishings) which direction their house is facing.

the same goes for the entrance gate which is adjustable to face a desired direction, consequently outside grounds details e.g. rocks, steps, trees, ditches in front of the gate adjusts to the directional setting chosen by the plot owner.

And if possible enable the "Entrance to Additional Chambers" for private estates, but limited to e.g. 10 additional chambers only, and without the workshop. The additional chambers could be purchased by the owner of the estate at his/her discretion.

You have really put a lot of thought into this. I'm impressed. I think I would prefer a blending of suggestions. Your instanced ideas and the idea that you can upgrade your apartments up to the equivalent of a large house for gil. I would cheerfully work my butt off to get a penthouse suite and unlock a few private rooms for bedrooms/guest rooms/bathrooms. If they implemented that along with a feature to change the layout/design in a room we could get some really fun things going.

I'm sure that SE knows what to do to improve housing, its possible that there are some financial as well as technical constraints that have to be resolved before they can implement such changes, but since the next expansion is a couple of months away, we might see some changes in the patches that follow, thus now is the best time to bring suggestions to the table, I also suggested the upgradable rooms in a previous post together with an instanced balcony, but i just amended it a bit to give other options.

As of now if we compute the number of Housing Plots in all the worlds in all data centres combined is not even 1/10 of the FFXIV player base which they say is more than 10 million. That is why to meet housing demands, a form of instanced housing that is just as pleasing if not on par or better with that of plot housing is needed.

A way to save layouts. I really like some ideas I create, but if I transfer/demo I lose it. I'd like to be able to save my work so when I move apartment locations or free companies, I can keep my layout.

Vertical half-walls. We have the half partitions, and the white rectangular ones, now we need some vertical half walls. Archways instead of door partitions. Maybe even some that don't touch the floor and are just ceiling mounted. Ideally things that are dyable.

Things I've posted before but will say again:

• More pillars/dyable pillars. Half pillars.
• False doors that function like paintings. ( at least in terms of them sticking to any partition. I do not want another item to fight with like the windows.)
• Pet props: beds, food/water dishes, cat trees, etc.
• Indoor water features that aren't as huge and hard to work with as the mermaid fountain. Something that isn't just a bath with other props stuffed into it. The fountains in the waiting room for the wedding ceremony come in mind. Things like that would be amazing.
• Larger tables that aren't so low to the ground/that don't just seem like stages.
• Remove the tag of "outdoor furnishing" on at least some of the yard items. Make them work in both spaces. I can see not doing this with everything, but at least some of the props would me amazing to use inside, and also, with how limited yards are, opening up those items to be able to be used indoors would actually mean some of those items actually get used, rather than turning into consistent vendor trash anytime a retainer brings one. Again, the fountains come to mind (like the Bismarck one and small stone pond). A lot of the plants (maybe not the trees) could be used in amazing ways inside houses.

It will sound weird probably but my little kitties room feels weird with a chair and not a toilet. Maybe a cute moogle toilet? Or a cute lucky poo toilet? Just a thought to finish out the room?

-Placing pets as tablemount items in the house, and mounts as outdoor furnishings in the garden

-daytime/ night time wallpaper that are realistic, similar to the actual ingame sky (not the cartoony sky wallpaper that we have)

-all furnishing to be table mount from now on to ease placement on lofts etc (and if you could change all previous furnishings to make them table mounts, that’ll be great too)

-being able to dye the aquarium’s interior wall, so that it gives the illusion of changing the water’s color

-allow the rotation of wall mounted items on their z axis

-possibility of removing the text over mannequins

-light ball (similar to the little snowman’s butt that everyone’s using), clicking on it changes the light color with at least the basic colors available, white/ yellow/ red/ blue/ green

-fully colored paintings please? All we have is a few colored and the rest are just bland monotone brown that removes all the beauty from it

-rugs! We have so few. More styles like silk persian carpets/ modern color blocked rugs etc. Colorful and make them dyeable please

-rectangular white partition sized door partitions, because it is annoying to have a full partition when I only need it under the loft :)

-fridge that has storage space for food/ plants/ fish/ fish bait/ culinary ingredients etc organic stuff

Wow a long list... Just a few things that came to mind ^^

We have tubs, shower stands, bathroom tiles, and sinks, a toilet seat should be next.

I really like looking through decorations and trying to make a cozy space in housing with this, but would love it even more if they could improve on things.

First of all, things that should be doable currently:
-Higher outdoor deco limits, even just 10 or 20 more each.
-Higher indoor deco limits, especially for things like mansions so they're not all empty space.
-Workshops for FCs accessible without a house like the GC Barracks that you can just click on from a set location.
-Allow tenants to apartments so I don't have to have it open to everyone or no one, or at the very least have a friends list only option.
-An option to make food decos inedible please, I'm paranoid about new people eating limited event items I got for the FC house.

And slightly more ambitious things:
-Expanded apartments: Like others have mentioned, the ability to purchase/upgrade to a bigger apartment. allow an outdoor space for gardening and outdoor decos etc. And allow FCs to purchase them too. Make them an appealing alternative to a house.
-The ability to float items and move them more freely without needing to use a glitch.
-And more flexibility with clipping into walls/pillars, it's annoying when I want to put something flat against a wall and can't because of a pillar.
-Allow anything placeable on the floor to also be placed on a loft, and maybe a way to float/detatch the camera for easier decorating of said lofts.
-A checkbox on items, similar to how you see if something is dyed, that allows us to control whether it is interactive or not. So we can turn it off on walls we've put wallpaper on or food we don't want eaten etc.
-1 wallpaper to apply to more than one wall partition at a time.

That's about all I can think of for now.

I saw that the developers have added Roe and lalafell Mannequins. Hopefully Hyur and Aura mannequins will come soon.

I want an option like turn personal house to FC house.
Recently, I left ex-FC and found my own FC.
I experience problem of housing timer.
Please kindly add this option.

You've added lofts, but anything that can be placed on the floor, you should be able to place on a loft square. Right now lofts can be stood on and you can place tabletop items on them, which enormously limits their utility.

As I understand it, you've made it so that items that could formerly be floated to appear to be on lofts now drop to the floor after you leave.

This is the wrong direction. You need to make your players happy, not piss them off by making life more difficult.

Allowing us to put floor-based furniture on lofts would be a simple fix that can be implemented almost immediately and will allow fuller use of available space.

Please have it implemented as soon as possible. Thanks.

When you float a ground furnishing up you NEED to turn it before you leave the room/house. Then they stay.

I would still appreciate if we could put everything on there without glitching tho...

I was just decorating earlier, and nothing I worked up onto a loft pinged back to the floor after following the usual item floating rules. I think you might have your information wrong, or someone missed a step somewhere in floating their items.

That being said, we shouldn't have to float 'glitch' items onto lofts, the lofts should just function like the floor in terms of what items can be placed on it.

I'd like to have pancakes as a housing food item. Maybe a plate of japanese fluffy pancakes with berries or just classic american pancakes. It would look cute. >:

So i been wanting things like gold dust indoor placeable. streams of water bridge indoor and lava walls, realistic grass like in dungeons .

I've always wanted 2 make a place look like hells lid and AV some indoor environment furniture would be beloved.

Housing team has made some really good improvements since I last requested things. Thank you so much for getting rid of the culling issues with intractable items.

Requests:

- Wallpaper-able glade/oasis/riviera doors. Wallpaper half partitions and open partition would also be nice, but I think doors are the things that I would really like to wallpaper the most.
- Be able to take out wallpapers from Partitions and not having them destroyed (would be really nice for those holiday furnishings that are pretty limited).
- Increase the item limit, especially in large and medium houses.
- Weapon displays in general, ones that are just furnishings with no interactivity, and ones that you can actually place your obtained weapons in.
- Have another furnishing creation contest. All of the creations that have been implemented have been fantastic so would love to see another round of fan made items come in.
- Have the oven part of the Southern Kitchen Stove be dye-able. I remember the fan concept art had the oven part dye-able, and I think it looks odd currently as it is when you do dye it. Would love to see that as a change.

Allow to buy more condo apartments or FC rooms. Even in overpopulated servers there are countless free apartments and all I care about is interior decorating. I wouldn't even fight for a plot if I could just have more interior to decorate. Same goes for FC rooms. Never been in a FC with more than 7 FC rooms occupied, comon D:

Now that stairs/steps have been added, can we get ones that twist or are spiral? :)

Please just fix the lofts! so you can decorate with out hassle, I have wasted hours on trying to glitch stuff on there.

Them being set as table tops is pretty stupid with out the decoration required like rugs, table and chairs, beds etc I wish I read the forums first or I never would have invested in them.

I put a lamp on there then fall through the floor I can not even stay up there and full decorate it with table top items in one go, its awful and tiresome

If possible lofts, should be considered a really wide interior fixture half partition (for the reason that furnishings can be placed on top of half partitions), instead of it being a really wide wall mounted table.

01) Ability to transfer apartment room without having to demolish the room.
02) Glamour Dresser in housing
03) Mannequin to have Hyur and Au'ra races included
04) Allow private chambers to be set up for private housing rather than just FC housing. Maybe allow the owner to buy 5 rooms? Allow us to design the rooms with our creativity.

One thing I only recently noticed....glade/oasis/rivierra/hingan houses are locked to their respective zones? Why?

Is it for aesthetic cohesion? Because if so I don't get why it's okay to have a shirogane castle in the lavender beds but not a hingan house? Why it's okay to have a chocobo or paisa house in the Mist but not a lavendery beds style house?

I really think this restriction should be removed. The goofier housing options already do more harm for neighborhood cohesion than this would.

I'd really like a partition that perfectly fits under the right and left stairs so I can block them off
