Someone mentioned it earlier in this thread so I checked the old announcement. There was free move -away- from Chaos, but not for moving into it. So if people had done their characters to any other datacenter while they resided in the same place, they would have had to pay for the move anyway.

Looks like I went from 43ms to 96ms :/

Although the trace completed significantly faster when testing the CA ip.

The game is a product. If it no longer satisfies people, they are well within their rights to complain or to refuse to pay for the product any further, or purchase any expansions.
We chose to stay on NA and play with people we know because it was working fine, and now it might no longer be the case. How does that make us at all entitled to expect good service from a product we pay for?

SE doesn't owe you free playtime or transfers because you chose to ignore going over to your region. They made your servers local so you didn't have to connect to Montreal, and you made your choice. SE did not intentionally do this just to wrong you. Stop being entitled whiners.

This. Just because some may be open to the idea of leaving their friends behind (if they had any at all) does not necessarily mean others are willing to throw their friendships away to transfer off.

And just saying it one more time. People who got a better connection now are people who went from 90 to 70 or from 90 to 40. This will not make any difference on your game, srsly. Anything under 100 is basically the same shit. But I can assure you that people that went from 150 to 250+ are totally screwed up. And if you guys think its funny, dont forget that everyone uses DF too. So enjoy lots of dps eating 100% more AoE.
