Some suggestions, mostly quality of life, obvious things

I am not sure if this was ever mentioned but I think it would be nice if you could "try on" furnishings before you buy them like you can with gear. Sometimes it is hard to tell if I am going to like the wall/floor and before spending large amounts of gil I want to be sure I will like it

With regards to the UI, I believe we used to be able to snap UI parts such as the hot-bar onto other items of the UI by dragging the item while holding ctrl. But now, I can only snap to the grid, no matter what button I'm holding.

- Please could you add this feature back into the game...or if I'm totally mistaken, could someone tell me how to go about snapping UI parts to one-another.

- Also, please consider adding additional eyebrows that are independent in colouration to the hair, as it stands now, if i choose a tan Elezan (female) with similar coloured hair, it looks as though she has no eyebrows

Please turn off the message telling us we can't triple triad while chocobo racing.
It gets annoying and as some of us will be doing thousands of races, it would help to remove it.

This has been mentioned several times but it's starting to get to me again, especially when tanking.

Tab targeting. It was like this when 2.0 released and it's still the same: horrible. It just refuses to function properly. It tries to work on some priority algorithm but most often decides to forget and f*ck it, then targets the mob furthest away.

I don't want to fight with the tab target, i want to be friends with it. Please SE, make an effort to fix this coming expansion.

Add a report button on your target (if it's a player obviously) with the following options: Report Spam and Report Cheat. Add this function to one you right click the name of a player in chat too.
When you report a person this person is also added in a temporary invisible blacklist that is reset every day (so it doesn't flood your blacklist). Those that have played WoW will recognize this.

Also please, add a "Clear Blacklist" option to remove everybody from your Blacklist, my mouse will thank you.

While we are at it, allow us to autoblock message from new players that aren't in our friendlist or FC.

When we recruit a friend to play the game please, allow him to create a character on the server that I play, even if it's locked.

Let us see our ping without having to ask Windows Resource Manager..

Let us see our FPS without having to open the settings window.

This may have been said before, but please add a sort function to free company chests.

/micon doing tooltips would be really really nice.

And I would imagine pretty damn simple to implement.

I want to be able to use my game timecard for Crysta because they won't accept my Paypal for some reason.
I need some crystra for server transfer and cash shop stuff, don't ask me about credit card.

For heaven sakes, translate the maintenance times to local time of the players.

It's not hard to get the client/web page to do so - looking up the timezone of the player should be trivial and I'm quite sure there are libraries to do the conversion.

This one time effort will save countless players the nigh weekly chore of having to do the conversion themselves.

Not sure if this had been posted yet as there's 200+ pages as of now. Blizzard recently changed their ignore function to ignore entire accounts rather than by character. If we had an option to blacklist entire accounts, we could probably put a good dent in the RMT tells.

Need cooldown numbers on buttons not just on tooltips.

Item comparison is still much to be desired, instead of a secondary window you just need to allow hover over tool tips to display the changes if you equip it in red or green.

Also why can you not try on multiple pieces of gear at one time ?

Also addons when are we getting them ?

Why is there not a better (auto) sort function for inventory also ?, surely PS4 and PC can handle that much extra over head, or at least give it to us as an option.

Please allow us to craft directly from the retainers inventory if we are within a city.

A suggestion for Blue Mage

Inorder to have a blue mage in the game and not a halfass one or never even getting a blue mage because of the sheer amount of their skills, you can limit the number of skills like what a level sync does when we use the duty finder even for the level 50 duty finder content because each job must have the same skill number.

Then since you SE like to reuse older content you can make it so that we can learn unique skills from each final boss in each dungeon that has a % chance for the blue mage to learn it but no more then 6 or so tries. Example 1-5 tries are up to rng if we learn it faster then someone who is not on the rng good side but on the 6th try we are guaranteed to learn it to limit the out rage that we have seen/read about the atma/dungeon drops.

We can also learn skills from boss fates and from specific regular monsters that have skills the blue mage can learn from, and yes even from coil/end game raids but these skills can be more like debuffs and not really usefull since there are a number of people who dont do them and these skills could be mainly for completionist or what not. Example take turn 2 of the first bcob Rot can be a 5% hp down and 15% strength down for 15 secs with a recast of 3 mins.

Now you can use this as a base/take ideas form it or just ignore it all together but i and among many others want to see blue mage come to final fantasy xiv.

PS. The one skill i would absolutely love to see for blue mage and for the laughs is sardine toss from the monster apkallu.

Don't know if this has already been mentioned, but I'd like to see the time remaining before being able to harvest plants in the garden...

Can we not have to type our password and OTP every time we log in?

Not sure how Blizzard does it but with their launch you can go straight into the game just by pressing play - i.e. you only have to enter the password and OTP once when you first install then application.

Much like with changes such as sleep, and petrify, can we get a battle animation change for low HP? (Not to impede the character, just for visual purposes)

If it were up to me, I'd make it a transition of the neutral battle positoon, like sleep. Nothing like getting on the knees, but a change in expression, poise, and sway can show the character looking fatigued, yet still fighting.

I've probably mentioned it before (I don't recall, this is an ooold and looong thread) but can our refusal to accept friend invitations please automatically decline them?

If we accidentally decline them, we can easily enough right click on their name in the chat box line that tells us we declined them and send them a friend request from there. I'm sure the accidental declines are far exceeded by the RMT abuse of the function though.

Also, can we please have our return point indicated on our teleport list, similar to our free and favourited teleport points? I've been playing on my alts a little and they have different return points depending on where they are in the story/levelling. Far too many times now I've accidentally paid to teleport only to realise later I could've just returned... Maybe a simple stylised house icon or a purple recolour of our current stars or something?

As a side note (not as important as my first 2 requests), bringing up a confirmation window (similar to when you have free tele tickets in your inventory while teleporting) when you select your return point in the teleport list to see if you'd like to use your free return instead would be nice. That could become a hassle to those who use one aetheryte a lot though.

On the pop-up window detailing the fish we caught, can we also see how many we have in our inventory?

Have anyone already said anything about adding an OPTIMIZE EQUIPMENT button on the character screen, that would function like the ones already found in other FF games? sure it wouldn't equip BiS sometimes, but it'd help a lot the vast majority of players who need to scour the armoury chest after the best eq they can equip...

You're basically asking them to let you bypass the security of two factor authentication. Forgive me for being blunt, but that's never going to happen.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but it'd be nice if it'd show us where we are teleporting to when teleport is casting. Like "Teleport-Golden Saucer" instead of just saying "Teleport"

Id like our Free Company to see our achievements when we earn them in FC chat. This probably has already been mentioned, but I think it would be great!

Please let our item search function search retainer selling inventories as well! I'm disorganised so keep finding partial stacks across several of my retainers for different prices and whatnots depending on when they were put up <_< Or buying things from other people that I already had up for sale from long ago >_> Gah ~_~

To take this a step further, I'd really love to be able to simply unlock skins for all of eternity once they are used, and not have to keep the item in inventory at all.

In GW2, once you either equip or specifically "unlock" the appearance of an item (the skin), that skin will always be available to you for glamouring even if you have already sold or destroyed the item. Stats don't carry over, just the appearance. Also, once you unlock the skin, it does the equivalent of spiritbinding it to your character, so you can't just buy an item, unlock the skin, and sell back.

On the Market Board, gear can be sorted according to any of the stats it can boost. Meals, on the other hand, can only be sorted by ID, Quantity, or Demand. Can we please have stat-based sorting on meals as well. It would make it a lot easier to find the ones we're looking for. (Since meals will offer a % boost with a maximum # of points, it should probably use a primary sort on the % with a secondary sort on the max #, or perhaps the other way around. Either way, it would at least group all the items that boost that stat together at the top of the list.)

He's referring to the Blizzard's implementation where if your IP remains the same as your last login, you don't have to enter the OTP again for something like two weeks. It is mainly a convenience for people who play only from home.

Personally I don't find the OTP that much of a bother.

FC Rank Increase. It's been over a year since our last patch for this. FC Bank Space is problematic for active Medium to Large Size Free Companies. This Has definitely lagged behind content.

Please make repair requests available between players.

Please add a GATE rep NPC to Chocobo Square, and let announcements about GATE events not be so generic when in Chocobo Square.

Please allow Chocobo companions to substitute missing players in dungeons.

Please allow "Truth of Forests" and "Truth of Mountains" to be turned on permanently when Miner and Botanist.

Relatively new player here and love a lot of these suggestions. I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, but is there any chance a map overhaul could happen? Would be great to be able to place markers on maps, and/or have the map sections identified by levels (for example, if looking in your journal for the map of the quest, the map could indicate more specific information, such as Map Height and Specific Location).

Chat:
- Be able to hide the chat whilst outside a dungeon. (As in, hiding it completely.)
- Be able to have more than 4 Log Filters. (5-6 preferably.)

Sound:
- Be able to disable battle music.
- Be able to set music to an infinite loop. (The music plays continuously.)
- Be able to toggle Mount music lowering in volume when you stop moving whilst on a Mount. (When you stop moving on a mount, the volume lowers and I'd like to be able to turn that off.)

Play all option for cutscenes in The Unending Journey. Instead of manually selecting cutscene #1 for Castrum Meridianum, watching it, returning to inn and manually selecting cutscene #2 for Castrum Meridianum....etc.

Yesterday, on WTFast I was getting -1ms. Is this possible, as it didn't seem quite right :D

Like there is an option for english or japanese dub, it would be nice to have an option that plays the 1.0 music in cities and areas/batle. I know it is already in game as it plays during some seasonal events. (i have bought the before meteor OST recently and it is absolutely godly)

Please bring back Lamed, it was a much better system than getting hit with Heavy while mounted. Perhaps it was removed because it doesn't make sense for mechanical mounts to get Lamed? I don't care, it makes equally less sense for my character to move slowly because my mount was hit.

Oh, and give us a Manderville Roulette, which Battle on the Big Bridge, The Dragon's Neck, and Battle in the Big Keep can go in so people aren't forced to do sidequests for the Trial Roulette? Perhaps have MGP as a reward for doing it.

• The ability to block /tell from everyone but your friends list. The RMT are already sending friend requests to everyone on the servers so it's too late to stop that.

The cross bar can already be set to hide when not being used. With that setting, it will show only when R2 and/or L2 are pressed.
