If you play XIV as a second life game with mods, thats cool.
But i and i dare say most players purchased an MMORPG.
Have fun tho, don't let me tell you how to engage with the game, but XIV is not a dating/tinder simulator, it's an MMORPG and what people wants is content to be excited about. A predictable 10 year old pattern of patches, which only changes has been the constant downgrade of content or cut of it is not something to be excited about.
Considering the lack of endgame content of an MMORPG, not a tinder simulator, the criterion dungeons are a flop, the new deep dungeon is a flop, the relic quest is a disaster... We have recived LESS and WORSE content this expansion than any other expansion, not even the lul of Heavensward till 5.3 is comparable, we at least had hope. But is also where the cuts began, the hard mode dungeons first to go and the game has been cutting and cutting content since. First it was for "new diferent content": Deep Dungeons and Field Campaigns (Eureka and Bozja). What we got of those today? Deep Dungeon is a boring allagan-themed dungeon that you can summon a rando NPC for 1 floot, it's greatest contribution... By comparison HoH at least was refreshing and PotD still is THE deep dungeone experience. And we didn't get Field Campaign... Why? Why this was cut for? For Criterion Dungeons which have the worse reward structure (no rewards) in the game since the old ladder PvP? Was it cut for more Hildibrand?
How you slice it: This game either is not getting the resources enough to do all it's supposed to do, OR, they just don't care anymore, XIV solved the finances of SE by now and they can focus on another things like XVI which HAS CLEARLY affected the developement of XIV.
Also also aslo ARR was 10 years ago, cool. Im playing today. Not 10 years ago.
