This what scares me right now. SE is all about balance, I have a feeling with increase in pot per GL they might lower it's duration to 10 seconds. Or may be here's another retarded idea but hey it's SE. U start with 15 sec GL 1 GL 2 12 sec then GL 3 9 sec.

I doubt they would make any changes like that.

I'm 99.99% sure it's just as simple as a duration increase and slightly higher potential. What Almalexia said seems pretty realistic. What would and increase like that change though? If we would get 30% at GL3, that would be a 3% increase over now, that's along the lines of 40 DPS increase with the numbers we're getting right now (dummy).

EDIT: I'm not suggesting that's low or high, just want your opinions

I think mnks and drgs are doing pretty close damage as of right now, this would put mnk on top of drg (dps in general) for sure.

Edit: And they would be the best melee dps at AoE damage, not gonna lie, i'd strap yourselves in. Some Nins might throw a fit.

Well, DRG buffs BRD/MCH damage by a pretty big amount, can't forget about that. The increase they give to their damage, puts them on top of MNK even with a buff like that.

Am I the only one that thinks they're going to adjust Greased Lightning to last longer so it doesn't fall off in phase changes as much, and then lower the potency to compensate? All I'm seeing are posts going in the opposite direction.

That would be an awful change. MNK is already low on utility compared to DRG and NIN, and lowering their DPS would kill them.

Making GL last longer won't increase your DPS in most cases, and even if it did, MNK needs the increase in DPS anyways... not a nerf
