Block first timers from Party Finder!

I think that we as a group are behind this statement. I also don't think that an option like the one outlined in this thread opposes this line of reasoning. The fact of the matter is, right now, that the purpose is unclear. People see the the fight and they click the button without much caring about the description. The option would provide a completely clear message of the theme of the party which is really sadly lacking right now and provide a layer of protection against somebody that may not be as astute in their description reading.

Also, I've never had a problem starting up a clear party, and most of the time people who have cleared it will join for the fun of it. It's much, much easier to setup a clear party in the system right now then it is a farm party. There's not guesswork in it at all. Having and option to stem the tide of people who are abusing a playerbase has virtually no effect on this at all.

I've been stalking this thread for a while now, and have just been too lazy to actually login.

If you have no familiarity with a given fight and you join a farm party for said fight, you are being selfish and showing a complete disregard for other's time. Don't have an expectation that you are entitled to be carried through things - that is gross.

If this option is never implemented, at the very least I'd love to see people who were honest about their experience prior to entering trials/raids/etc. Expecting honesty is probably a bit of a pipe dream though.

Sorry, but SE is not interested in people learning fights faster. If they are, then they could implement CD reset after wipe long time ago. But no, we should still wait for 2-3 minutes after each try!

Had this issue again today with Thordan-EX

a player who put up a Farm party, yet when we fill up, adds in "Oh by the way, I have new player bonus" right before we start. Basically trying to bait 7 people into a clear for them.

They then proceeded to screw up on Phase 7 and wipe the party, and from there the party's morale just fell.

If SE actually put new fights in DF when released instead of keeping them out for no apparent reason, maybe people will actually be able to experience content. Really what reason is there to lock Thordan EX out of DF? What reason was there to lock Ravana/Bismark EX out of PF until now? I mde a thread in the gamefaq before about this.

People gave responses like: "Well noobs and bads probably wont be able to beat it them at release anyway lol"

I kept getting that response and its terrible and illogical. I wonder.. is SE purposely keeping it out of DF because they know the general playerbase doesn't use PF? Are people who don't have statics or don't use PFs as much labeled as "Bads"?

Adding duties to DF at LAUNCH will do nothing but help the community. There will always be random DF pugs that end up beating stuff.

And that way, no one would have an excuse for not at least seeing the dang fight or a minute of it.

I cleared T1-5(even T3), T6, T7, and got T8 to 2% in DF. Wiping at 2% was so outrageous I kinda quit FFXIV for a day...

Unfriendly? It's stated in the first paragraph of the thread how much I help people. I've posted screenshots of getting new players clears to prove it because I'm sick of being called selfish, just because I want to do something for myself in the game.

My name is Lumina Sora, I'm on Cerberus. Need any help? /tell me and I'll help you. Just don't join my party finder specifically for farms and be selfish yourself. There is a time and a place. That one person joining 7 other people for their free clear is the person with the 'me me me' attitude.

By then you and your group outgeared it and the strats had become standard. Day 1 progression is a whole different game.

You need to stop complaining here. You play with a community of players, you have to learn about people and know their names. I understand where you come from when you want quick run but the problem is there are quick runs all the time and at some point these new players grow frustrated and want to participate in the content. Leading them to join into pre made group. This is frustrating but it is also the community fault for having this happening.

I disagree to the suggestion you do. There should be no option to block first time from doing an activity in the game. If anything set your ilevel higher. And then people will think you just want to be carried or will just go and think it'll be fast and easy like you would be thinking.

And no, I am not astonishing on you. But these kind of threads is what I consider "Elitist" and "anti-community" and it is a mindset that I grow annoyed to see in MMO RPGs.

Felmyst, nothing is stopping the first timer from making a group in the Party Finder for a first-time clear. Please read and understand the thread, it might keep you entertained while you level.
