Citizens Advice will advise..... that SE are entitled to refuse to sell you to, for any reason they want, or for no reason. SE are refusing to sell to you in €, which is their right (no one can force SE to sell their product). Either that or I worded my email to them incorrectly.
Anyone tried Yoshi's twitter account? "Why are you charging us 23,282 Yen, and 15,984 in Japan? 15,582 in US and 17,049 in EU?"
The interesting thing is:
SE could have closed the thread, but they didn't. On purpose.
They watch closely and wait.
Ergo, this means if this thread gets 50k hits and 600 answers,
they will adjust the price.
I won't be at that price, but I'm sure they are going to sell out on the UK site regardless, as it's almost certainly drawing on the same stock pool as the EU site.
So voting with wallets here isn't even going to make a difference, the UK sales to them are just free extra profit gravy. I feel like any company that would pull this kind of pricing stunt isn't going to move quick, if moving slow can make the problem go away. Plus changing the price now would affect any UK pre-orders they might have already had as it's in the T&Cs that they reduce the price they actually charge if it goes down before the shipping date.
Don't forget, they did it THIS time, so...... they will do it next time too. 4.0? Yep, rip off again by SE.
Slightly off topic, but I'm enjoying my 36.85GBP copy of Type-0 HD from amazon.co.uk, as opposed to the 54.99GBP SE EU store one. Unless I'm missing something, they both appear to be the same. (both have the FFXV demo)
Same here, I rarely buy anything from SE store because i know Amazon has it cheaper lol
The physical CE is not available in the EU anywhere other than the SE store, it's the only place you can purchase it, unlike in the US, Japan, Australia.........
