Edit: But on topic though, did you receive the messege about growing new feathers during any of those 30 feedings?

I fed my bird 10 deepening green fruit, but it took til about the 6th or 7th before I got a message about feathers regrowing.

Yeah Rjain I'm curious about this too.. I put mine back in and fed him a little more but I did get the feathers msg every time so I have like 2hrs left and we'll see if he changes from royal blue. I probably had him out like a rl hour.

Yes. It took a few tries to get it going but after the 8th or so fruit the remaining 30ish said they were growing new feathers.

o.o Very strange then. Maybe you hit the cap for whatever fruit you were feeding him? At this point I'm just guessing.

Maybe I'm just incredibly unfortunate and found another combination for colibri pink and landed on that too. Tried feeding it about 12 berries and 20 pears now.

Interesting. So after the 2nd round of feeding 20 more pineapples (without feather message) it didn't change tone/color at all and didn't even get cutscene :D

Okay so I want to know where you guys are getting the food?!? I have no access to the gardens at our FC and from the looks of it they have zero interest in doing any of it since we didn't ever even have the training foods. one berry on the market is 25K how is someone relatively new to the game even supposed to enjoy this. Only reason I even started the game was my love for chocobos.

I imagine the prices on the market board will drop FAST. I mean, you can get 36 fruits per seed.
If you don't want to wait (and I don't blame you!) the only real way is to ask your FC leader/officers to give permission. Or change FCs, but a lot of FCs don't give gardening rights to new members. =/

Our FC harvested 432 combined chocobo fruits in about 2 days. We're almost out now but have an additional batch coming in a day. Fruits are also about 8k-30k on server so others just buy from market board.

Good FCs should always be gardening stuff for their members, whether it be dyes or something else. Pretty important part to having an FC imo.

Personal gardening will be coming soon too.

I hope someone finds out the combo for Wine Red! I'm still debating on that or Dalamud Red. :) But I can't really do anything atm since I'm waiting for the prices of fruit to drop on MB as well. Still, it's very exciting to see all the different colors being discovered!
