I wish they'd make it so when you sort your weapons/gear, it stays sorted and not get all jumbled when you switch classes. It drives me crazy having to sort each and every time I change to a different job/class! :(
id like to see a notification when one of my friends log-in, can this be done? i searched everywhere and could not find such option, only found it for FC members... please add to list?
It would be nice to be able to make notes on the map with the ability to put a semi-permanent flags for direction or to mark spawn areas (for hunts or mobs you're farming in general). You should be able to individually clear the flags and group clear them. (and I don't mean the shared < pos> flags, I mean you can open up your menu, put a flag on your personal map, close it, open it later and it's still there - kinda like FFXI had)
A FC calendar that can be accessed in game to organise events and activities would also be a plus, especially when you have several groups raiding.
When selling items on the markets/retainers, could the menu order be rearranged to be consistent? When you sell them from your own inventory, "Put up for sale" is the first entry in the list, but if you choose to sell directly from your retainer's inventory it's the second option, with the first list entry instead being to retrieve the item. I can't tell you how many times I've picked up items off my retainer instead of them going up on the markets...
While I agree that glamours are something desirable, I can understand the sentiment. I once had a T2 run while I was trying to gear up my PLD where the other tank swiped the Allagan Plate Belt (i90) that dropped, despite him already having a Weathered Noct Plate Belt (i100). And remember, belts cannot be glamoured as they're the one piece of gear that isn't rendered...
When you click on the gil icon on the HUD display, you can toggle it between showing your current gil amount and the number of Company Seals you have. Would it be possible to add other currency types (Allagan Tomestone, Allied Seals) to this function as well so they could also be checked with a quick glance rather than having to open up the character menu/interface?
I'm not sure if it's already been said, but for completionist such as myself when it comes to questing, I think it'd be great if you would allow us to do all Grand Company quests when we switch nations.
For example, I completed all Limsa GC quests up to The Hunt, but a lot of my friends are Immortal Flames, so I switched nations to participate in Frontlines with them. When I switched back to Maelstrom, I was unable to complete the Frontlines quest for that nation since I had already completed it for Immortal Flames.
TL;DR: Please allow us to complete Grand Company quests that we've already completed for one nation when we switch to a different one for the sake of our quest journal.
Please give us more armor models that are inspired by the cultural heritage of each race.
The reasons for this suggestion are:
1) Equipment is generally made not only to be functional, but aesthetically pleasing when donned by the wearer. Ala Mhigans, for instance, look kind of weird when wearing the typical flamboyant end game armor due to their neutral color palette. Another example would be miqo'te trying to wear the worn noct set, which almost looks like they are piloting a suit of medieval style power armor because its just too big for them to be wearing it.
2) The Ala Mhigans in particular were, until recently in history, the most powerful city state in Eorzea. Their city state's banner is an exquisite medieval style gryphon colored gold on a rich purple backdrop. The people of Ala Mhigo also share impressive physical builds and a deep sense of personal pride. So I walk into Little Ala Mhigo hoping to see some remanence of armor and weapons on the level of excellence rivaling any elven or dwarven piece from Tolkien, but instead I am greeted with battle harnesses and some fairly basic armor sets. It would really help emphasize the greatness that was lost when Ala Mhigo fell if we were able to see glimpses of that brilliant nation through its armor, weapons, and the stories refugees bring with those items.
Edit: My memory of the flag was off. Ala Mhigo's flag is actually a white gryphon holding an aquamarine-ish sword with purple background and gold trim. Not really important to the point I was making, but I hate to make mistakes.
Also, female highland hyur need some more symmetrical hair styles. All of their hair styles except for two have some tuft of hair that gives the hair style a very asymmetric bend and often blocks one of the eyes. Just making a variant of one or two of them would be sufficient.
edit: Also, please give us a monk dungeon set that isn't red. Patch 2.2 and 2.3 both gave us red outfits. It would be a welcome change of pace to get a different colored dungeon outfit.
They probably don't. It's a matter of what their boss wants the programmers working on. Either that or the database portion of the game is poorly optimized, in which case they are probably telling the truth. Databases can get messy if not made properly, and they did make this game in sort of a rush.
It boggles my mind to no end that its "difficult" for you to do something as simple as sort a list.....
How hard can it be to alphabetize a list of names? I wrote a small program to do that when I was 13. Did you code this game in some alien script or something?
I swear, the excuses sometime just make me think the programmers are lazy (and vastly overpaid for what they do based on what I see here and in game)
Once again I'd like the request the ability to search for things without knowing the first letter of the item. For example, "maple" could bring up everything with maple in the name, from "maple log" to "budding maple wand". Even if you were after a specific type of gear beyond simple class and level restrictions like "celata" or "half robe", it should be possible to find things with those text strings in them even though they don't start with that.
However, judging by the above posts, I wonder if it'll be too difficult too.
Once again, this was a feature available in DOS decades ago with a simple asterisk (aka * ) place holder for unknown characters, if anything was even needed at all...
If there's going to be seasonal interior fixtures for sale from the event NPC, please allow all interior fixtures to be salvageable.
PLEASE make it easier to use party finder.
Key examples:
Allow PF to "remember" the conditions manually set during last pf attempt. Which classes/jobs allowed, which classes/jobs omitted.
Allow PF to let us specify classes from unrelated battlecraft categories if either option is valid (example: 7/8, can use a tank or a dps)
Allow us to invite a player who fits a requested spot established in the PF, and edit the PF to omit a class/job reserved for a player, both without being forced to cancel and create a new PF.
The last two or so months we had three dev comments about the difficulty to adjust things. These were basic MMO mandatory cases. For example: save PvP actions & traits spent so when you switch to another job to PvP with, you don't have to default, manually set actions & traits and re-drag the skills to your hotbar again.
All three cases due to PS3's (PS4 too in some of the cases) memory limits. I'd not be surprised if this were the case again. They had poor timing with releasing this game on a 2006 (PS3) launched console. It does hold the game back period.
Add, automatically join party chat when joining a party.
Also, revert to last chat when leaving a party.
As well add, ability to set Free Company (or LS#) chat as the default chat when logging in.
There is no "join[ing]" of party chat, it's an automatic thing of being in a party o.O That's like saying can we automatically be put inside a house when we go through said house's front door...
If you mean set party chat as the default chat channel while you're in a party, I hope this would only be an option and that it would be turned off by default. Often I'm in a conversation with LS/FC members when I join a party so this option would do far more harm than good in my case. More options are always good though so I'm not saying they shouldn't implement it, just that it shouldn't be mandatory nor default.

My suggestion is an announcement of when your chocobo is ready to be trained in the stable again, just like when your retainers return from their ventures.
Wait what? Really? Are you serious? This I have to disagree with. Common sense should tell you to go afk some where safe not in the middle of a zone where you can be stomped on by the 1st mob that pops and aggro's you. i understand this is a game but let's be serious how much effort dose it take to tele back to a ton or the nearest camp?
Let's have some responsibility from the player's and not have this game become more of a candy land than it already is.
Yes I totally agree, it's retarded that we can't take down certain furnishings for reasons such as that, I get that we can't resell it but it's like this was designed as a really evil and unfair way to remove gil from the game by cheating some of the more well-off players (most of who didn't get this way from coincidence, buying gil or winning the Eeorzia Lottery). My Morbol chandelier is worth several hundred thousand gil on my server, do they think I'd just take a baseball bat to it or something to put up a seasonable one because I'd be too lazy to have it uninstalled? Just like how it is with someone leaving a FC or worse getting kicked who has a personal room and loses all the good stuff... "Derp guess I'll pack up all the cheap generic NPC furnishings for my next place, leave all my favorite things I worked hard for, toss in a few sticks of dynamite and I'm done!"
How about the 1000 character limit on initial posts, this is feeling like Twitter. Even the one above I had to go back and edit to post the whole thing and it's not very long.
New Icon for special quests that unlock duty finder content
I like the idea of having a specific quest Icon for Special quests that can unlock new Duty Finder Content such as Dungeon instances, Boss Fights, PVP, guild leves and guild hests, that you enter through the duty finder tool and which are not part of the main Story line.
An Icon that you can see above the heads of the NPC's and on the map as well to visualize that you can unlock new instances when commencing with that quest. I think a differentiation is quiet important because these quests are not just regular quests, which are just for leveling purposes and you would expect when you see an exclamation mark above the NPC.
And on the other Hand, you can see where you can unlock new Content (from updates or what so ever) that you havent made so far.. (for beginners and returning Players).
Some example Icons:

New Menu section - Recommandations -> Unlockable content
Furthermore i'd like to see a new menu section where you can see recommandations which duty finder Content you havent unlocked so far and where you can receive the specific quest for getting access to that dungeon.
This section could be divided in:
- Story missions (where can i continue my storyline?)
- Job missions
- dungeon instances
- Boss instances
- guild leves and guild hests
- PVP (?)
Firstly to make it more easy for beginners to see where they can unlock new content, because its mostly not possible to know where do i get Access to a specific content such as PVP, King Moogle extreme etc.
And even when i did, i seriously cant tell a newbie anymore where he can unlock it without looking it up on the Internet.
And there is also a big risk that People wont ever see optional dungeons such as "Halatali" because they just dont even know that these dungeons exist.
Music option to turn off battle music similar to the mount music option.
Since Camp Revenant's Toll is becoming like another town, can we have a market board, Inn, and a barber bell there?
now we have a lot of duties available on Duty Finder menu, can we have an option to filter out some duties we don't want them to display in the DF window?
same with the teleport list.
While this may not be quite what you're looking for, I just wanted to make sure you knew you can filter your DF list into categories by clicking the square icons across the top. There's categories like trials, rais, guildhests, etc.
Hope that helps!
I second your motion for teleport filters though, or at least a tree branching collapsible system that remembers what has previously been expanded/collapsed. Each city would have its own branch and the like.
Hi
I would really like a cheerleading emote or dance routine for my char.
Happened several times now that one gets locked out of a boss fight and has to watch the action from the side lines....why not give us pompoms and a dance routine to use the time and cheer on our peers?!
Technically, you can do this as a ACN or SMN. Your pet will attack anything that tries to attack you, and more often than not they'll end up killing it. Garuda outlives most things, Ifrit I don't know, and I'm pretty sure Titan could survive anything. Not sure how well the Carbuncles manage.
(This happened a couple of times to me when I left to get something to drink. I wouldn't recommend doing it on purpose because it would a) count as absentee play and b) is incredibly slow anyway.)
can we have more console commands in this game?
for the example, /effect to turn on/off battle effects. having to open the config window everytime is annoying.
Make it so when we're in a party with crafters or gatherers, our respective DoH/DoL stats are increased.
Instead of isolating the "Try On" option on the markerboards, can we also have it on items on your inventory/armoury chest/retainer inventory?
It's a bit of a hassle withdrawing/depositing items every time I want to try something on.
Also, multiple try ons please, not just one >.<
Thanks
