I hate that I have to reiterate that I am not referring to all. I even point out "not as a whole". The only sweeping generalization I would be making would be in regards to online because (thankfully) I never come across these problematic people in my day-to-day. And if I do, they're keeping to themselves.

I'm making a point that because of the ones you acknowledge yourself, the standard good will one would have towards the average person has greatly diminished when it comes to a lot of trans people.

Which, again, is a shame.

Like you said, respect is earned. Why should I respect someone who has said they are unwilling to respect people I care about based off the actions of some random trans people I've never met before? If you want basic decency from people, you have to give it in return, and you just described how you're unwilling to.

Sena sounds pretty solid in all of these other voices. Personally I really like how goofy Gargoyle's voice was. It really just seems Wuk in particular was not a good fit for Sena.

Compared to everything else on their VA reel in the video, Wuk's accent really seemed forced and it made the voice not really seem to fit most of the time as a result. It does seem somewhat like either a miscast of Wuk by Square themselves, Sena taking on a roll their vocal range just simply might not be suited/ready for, or a combination of both.

Nobody should take that individual seriously, people have already speculated with how much that individual has been white knighting for Sena, that it might be Sena's actual account.

Yeah all my "white knighting" when I said I disliked her voice acting job as Wuk Lamat, you can even comb through my post history that I have always been consistent on that. I literally haven't even defended her once, just trans people in general from the transphobic comments I've seen.

I'll give it to you straight from my own personal perspective. Mine and no one else's.

Respect is something I've always thought should be earned, not given freely, specially not to a group of people, any group of people. For groups, I have basic courtesy and nothing else.

Respect, it's reserved for individuals who have earned it.

I respect someone with a good, sound and well informed opinion.
I respect someone who has showed talent in some field.
I respect people close to me.
But do I respect a group of people only because they happen to be labeled in a way? No, sorry, can't do it, and that applies to any and every group.

I will offer basic courtesy to anyone, but that's where it stops.

I have my own opinions on the bigger matter and and I have my issues with her particular voice work. Her accent it's just annoyingly fake and the lack of range and yet, not once I called her a "he" despite the fact that, as an individual, I can say I don't respect her.

The voice work has plenty to criticize without resorting to lack of basic courtesy in my opinion. But also, I don't think I'm on some sort of moral high ground when I see others not using the same courtesy. I do believe it simply gives ammo to those wanting to be offended and deflect from the criticism and dismiss it, but I'm no one to tell others how to express their opinion. That is their prerogative.

And just as I'm no one to tell others what to say, I'm no one to tell you how to feel either.

I understand sympathizing, but whatever lack of courtesy it's aimed at her, it's to her alone. You are you, the VA is the VA, so try not to take it personally simply because you happen to share a label.
