Some suggestions, mostly quality of life, obvious things

Would really love to see a UI Scaling option. I am playing on a very large screen and can not read anything except the chat log! (which does have a scaling option.) Needless to say this makes questing and CSs a bit annoying as I have to keep getting up to stare at my tv like some blind, geriatric, mongo...>_> Please help! A scaling slider bar with percentage options or a manual input option would be brilliant!^^

Hello, this thread is much appreciated and thanks to everyone for contributing constructively. I'd like to add some of my own, though I am confident parts have already been discussed so apologies for duplications. I've tried to keep them simple yet with a personal injection as to give you an idea of where I am coming from.

Please bare in mind some of the suggestions do not originate with myself yet were picked up from the beta forums - such as the comments on character 'barber shop' and out of game services.

Chat Log

1. Transparency slider.

2. Let us embed the chat logs. I want my battle log embedded on the screen similar to how the FATE text is embedded. I want to remove the name tag of the chat window.

In SWTOR you can make the chat window UI completely disappear leaving just the chat on the screen without the ugliness of the widget. If I could do that with ARR's chat logs, it would not be an eyesore to have the chat log anywhere except the corner of the screen.

This would be super useful for the battle chat log. We could then have it in the middle of the screen. Like most people I have it filtered for just enemy special moves. So it would be handy to have chat pop for "Ifrit readies Inferno". Basically it would appear similar to how quests tick off with the blue writing in the middle of the screen as you progress.

It would be nice if I could do repairs on arms and equipment that doesn't belong to me. Allowing people to request repairs would let me do that. Its no disincentive for me to cart around my own supply of dark matter if I get compensated for my efforts in exp and a little gil.

I wish you could /visor on more pieces of gear. Namely the heavy iron/steel/darklight stuff that covers the head.

-custom map markers
-loosen up the keybinds(example- i wanted to bind reply to R, as it is in most mmos but its hard coded to autorun?!?)
-give us a /blacklist account feature to help us block gil sellers
-easy to see debuffs
-maybe a new target filter for FATES like target only FATE mobs?
-maybe autogroup for FATES to make healing easier? ("do you want to join FATE group?" when entering FATE circle,or something)

Non-legacy servers don't have enough gil being generated (especially those with closed character creation), repair costs too high and not enough reward to offset them.

Wanted to quote this since it seems like a problem that should really be looked into. The game economy will not be able to sustain itself unless more/better options to obtain gil are implemented. Selling on market is only shifting gil from character A to B, while losing on gil from transaction fees. Between high repair/teleport/taxes servers seem to be losing more money than they gain which is especially troubling for non-legacy servers, new players, and 1.0 players who did not have a substantial amount of gil coming from 1.0.
