Confirmation of Uncapped Raids. Confirmation of a terrible decision.

before they all got finished i had 2 75s


having 75s didnt really make them easier or harder, it was all about having a decent non pug group to do it with(pugs were uber fail in the first promys)

but it was pretty complained about, thats for sure, things dont get nerfed if they are working as intended

This isn't about the game at all.

A level cap tells me I can't experience this new content in the game atm unless I switch to a lower ranked class which I am probably levelling only for 1-2 useful skills to sub on the class(es) I actually enjoy playing as.

If I want the challenge of being the appropriate rank for the dungeon I will switch over. If I don't care for the challenge and i just want to see what it looks like and farm loots using my r50 I will tear right through it and go to the r45 one for a challenge. If my highest rank is a r30, but I don't care for the challenge I'll have some r50 buddies help me out. Whatever I do and however I choose to experience content in this game is up to me, as the player, because I am given options.

SE putting a level cap on is them just limiting my choices and telling me how to enjoy that dungeon, just so the players who do manage to get through it with a challenge on their r30 classes can gloat and stroke their epeen, whereas if 50s are allowed in suddenly the r30 gear isn't as rare and desirable.

The rank cap is 50. There is a rank 50 dungeon as well. If you want a challenge on your favorite class, which is more than likely the one you have at 50, you go there. Let the players with rank 30 mains enjoy their challenge at the r30 dungeon and then look forward to the r50 one. Don't try to tell players with choices how to play the game.

So coming back to the beginning, the argument in this thread isn't about the game at all. It is either about epeen, or a group of players attempting to dictate how others should enjoy the game.

Not the same, "champ." I don't care about your opinion. I care about the fact that you're trying to dictate whether I can participate in the content being released. You're trying to dictate how I play the game. And you're trying to exclude current players from being able to participate in the lower level dungeon.

Take a breath, man. Relax. You're in auto-attack mode. Try making a calm, rational argument instead of insulting everyone.

Not everyone has lower ranked jobs. Many people have all DoW at r50. And more often, people have all DoW that they enjoy playing above r30.

The problem is that a level cap would mean that some of the game's most dedicated players would not be able to play the dungeons at all. And even more people would not be able to enjoy the dungeons with their favorite classes.

SE should release content for everybody. Especially the folks who have been dedicated in playing the game since release. Making it impossible for FFXIV's most dedicated players to enjoy the new content would be a mistake, in my opinion. Punishing players for playing the game would create perverse incentives. It would reward people who haven't played, and punish those who have. It would encourage people to stop playing the game, and stop leveling their characters, until all content is released. I would prefer that they don't do that.

The idea that people actually want an easier experience at any lvl compared to what we are offered so far (99% of mobs are soloable atm) is mindboggling! People like thevetis and monkeydirtyfingers make me wanna rage on these forums. At least I have something to entertain me since SE clearly has no idea how to do that. I just pray the only reason they didn't lvl cap the 30 is because there was no need to since the drops are just so shitty that they dont' matter to any player who has already hit R.31

Again, they gave a r50 dungeon as well didn't they? I believe the community rep also mentioned that the dungeon was designed with the word 'difficult' in mind. I think all of us are smart enough to know thta entering a r30 dungeon on a 50 isn't difficult, whereas entering on a r30 job would be challenging.

I don't tell you what class to use when you farm r30 mobs for their drops with a personal ideal that all you do in this game should be challenging. As such, I do not appreciate any players telling me what class to use when I chose to enter a dungeon.

Dungeons aren't PUGs like behests, but rather private raid sessions with LS mates and/or friends. It is of no concern to anyone what sort of team i chose to bring in to them.

If you're afraid people will use their higher level job to easily earn gear for they lower level job, perhaps they should make roaming NM level capped as well.

I care less about content's challenge and care more about if it's fun to do. I mean it was nice to be one of the very first with sea access, it felt nice when people go "Oh wow dude, you got a Rajas!", felt nice fighting Bahamut the day after he was released. But I'd rather not spend 2 weekends doing Airship non-stop, wasting literally millions of gil (at least a million each) on CCB Polymer and Icarus Wing.

If people ask me to help with RoTZ, Sandy, Windy, Bastok, or WoTG, I'd join them in a heartbeat! Heck, when I see my friend being rank 9 in San d'Oria, I offer to duo the last 2. I spent a whole day trying to solo Nation on The Brink before I rush 2 of my friends through WoTG missions so they can help me. All of these wouldn't be possible if they were design, like CoP, to require a very specific combination of 6-people party at the level cap.

I mean, it was nice to have Zodiac Ring on release day (Yay! +3% for Elemental Siphon..) but unlike the CoP storyline, it wasn't the item that is the highlight, it was the journey through all of those missions. I'll give it to CoP that Promathia is a cool fight, but for WoTG, from Knot Quite There where you fight hordes of weak yagudos to At Journey's end where you fight Karaha-Baruha and Bad Future Karuha-Baruha, they were all very fun. They were not as challenging as the pre-nerf Airship or the Snoll-Tzar fight, but they were much more enjoyable.

I don't think anyone would want a cap that locks out people. I merely want a cap on the lvl of people in the dungeon. If I'm lvl 50 and I go into the instance I want to be capped at lvl 30. It seems like some people are arguing about different things. Lvl should be capped when entering the dungeon, not requirement capped which excludes some people from entering.
