If you don't want to put any effort into farming, then don't expect a pile of gil raining from the sky anytime soon. Lest you want to pay for RMT gil, which is against the ToS.
Oh, right and even though I'm legacy I've kept track of my gil.
So far I've sold 0 items on the market wards, and so far I've net a gain of 270k gil.
Repaired only twice, melted the rest of the equipment while leveling up into materia.
