Unable to update the group NA/EU Character List but no maintenance is on

More errors and things not working on a prime time playing night. So happy about this SE >.<

The unable to update is clearly a connection problem between the client and the server that hosts the character database. And is probably due to too many people banging on the server at once (data packets being dropped due to exceeding their Time to Live which in turn is caused by general congestion). For people like me I can only hope the soon to be implemented updates fix my problem but I don't think they will as theirs no mention of what it means for people who already have their characters and are already established on now congested servers..... So I don't know but all I have is hope for now.

Some heads are going to roll. Of that, I am certain. I need them to reverse time and give me back the time I am aimlessly wasting on trying to get in. Today was my free day including canceled plans and trips. Staring at my comp is amazing! =D Thank god I was blessed with an enormous amount of patience.

Lol Tsala, I hope you get in! But, I also had that happen to me at 10.. then 9... then it dropped me off with mr 1017. OH SOZ ATRIOKKE, CANT TOUCH THIS. nananana...

I still can't even get the NA/EU servers to show up. Let alone attempt the 1017 boss. ; ;

SE why are you treating NA players like red headed step children? Are you trying to make this a Japanese only MMO???

it seems like the only time I can play is at 1am in the morning
then again maybe they took the NA servers down is because they are updating them so that more players can log in

I can't even log into JP servers right now, they are all so full of NA/EU people that they are all giving World Full errors ; ;

They actually communicated with us. This forum is huge, and we have to actually find it. But yes they had.

There is too many people trying to connect at the same time, they are building new servers which should be operationnal around wednesday. Until then they are closing worlds that are near full capacity to prevent them from crashing and bringing other worlds with them.

Its a shitty situation, but its being fixed right now.

Same here. This is the second time I've gotten my 90000 boot and it was zoning into the exact same zone, Ul'dah steps. Now I'm either getting no servers, unable to connect to lobby, or a grey start option. It's Saturday night, which is prime time, but I should at least be able to "spaghetti method" my login attempts and just keep trying to get in. It's like it's deteriorating completely and getting worse.

I play on a Japanese server and during peck hours it is almost impossible to log in as well so N/A is not the only one with this problem.

This is a good and bad thing.....Good as in the game is a hit and lots of fun to play....Bad as in we can not log in to play :( I have already bought my wife and I the 180 day subscription just try to stay clam in a week or 2 this will all blow over :)

I saw that they fixed it but really its not fixed because I tried to log in and I got the 2002 error again now still no NA/EU servers available for me. /cry

I'm still unable to populate any characters on the NA/EU server. I've been unable to log in due to Error 10102 and Error 2002 for several hours now. It's 6:34pm and still unable to get on.

I thought they said their maintenance has fixed it 1.5 hr ago???

tried 45 minutes of spamming log in,only to end up in the same boat as everyone here.

pretty much what we are doing is playing musical chairs with logging in. Always hated musical chairs

Exact same issue I'm having, even down to the zone that killed me. Wonder if that zone is broken or just full of thousands of people.

Been getting "Unable to update Na/EU" stuff for 5 hours now. I got a list once, attempted to log in, got kicked back due to server full, then errored out again without giving a character selection. Awesome.

Been unable to log on all day :( Guess it's time to go out again and hope I can log on later.

They posted its fixed but thats not true, im still getting the error message and no NA/EU servers on the list... more than 6 hours now with this thing -_-

Yeah I don't get it. "We are pleased to announce technical difficulties have been resolved." No...no it has not.

Just want throw my name in the group that I am also getting this problem.

Was on all day yesterday and most of today and got disconnected teleporting. Afterwards, either the START button is greyed out, I get the 2002, and then also the unable to get the NA/EU world list.

I also am having this issue right now.
Was on all day yesterday and i just went to login about 30 minutes ago and i was unable to get the Na/EU world list.
The Japan list is there though.

Please someone fix this ASAP!!!

Been about 8 hours for me. Still no server listings

I am sure everyone is in the same boat but I tell you I getting real tired real fast on some of these issues we keep having. I am tired of trying to log in and finding that only the Japanese servers are working as they should. This is really getting old very fast......

I haven't been able to log on for two days because of this.

I had just been assuming that the servers were down for maintenance.

Guess not.

Been trying to log in on and off for 12hrs now. Tried multiple servers a constant stream of 1017, 2002 and the NA/EU servers could not be accessed. I'm sure glad I skipped out on camping with my family for this lol. At least Netflix hasn't let me down :)

I'll add my name to the growing list of folks who are having this trouble. I was unable to get the server list to load from about 6 pm(ish) CST yesterday and no luck again today. I'm having to play on a Japanese server because that's all that shows up right now.

seriously I think SE should at least reply on what are they going to do. Wasting time to keep trying to login:mad:

Instead of getting message that character already logged on, or denied access, we are getting bogus NA server unavailable.

I can get anywhere else on the internet. http://arrstatus.com/ reports servers are up!.

SE fix this please.

SE needs to get rid of this first month free to play and start make everyone pay a sub. that will get rid of about 20-30% of the population if not more because I really feel that everyone that is playing right now are not gonna sub. So you stop the free to play month will free up a lot of space on servers and hopefully fix some problems. SE right now it making new worlds and expanding the data centers but will most likely have to get rid of some worlds that aren't populated enough once the sub goes into affect because of all the free loaders that are taking up space atm aren't gonna pay to play the game.
