NO, the information is correct, in FF14 Biggs and Wedge pilot an Airship called "Tiny Bronco", they do that, the reference is only the name of the airship, isnt said that Biggs and wedge are only from FF7

From FF13: Fang's Bahamut, dreadnough monster, Robo Behemoth, Robo Odin (all in fates i think)
From FF12: Mimic Monster (appear in the Bahamut coil 4)

and is confirmed all the bosses from the crystal tower of FF3 will be in the cristal tower raid
i guess Ost's from FF3 and FF13 will be present in some way.

While being twins, Alphinaud and Alisiae are not Padjal, but Elezen, and grandchildren of Louisoix Levallier. Padjal are of Hyur descent, and all are in fact children of pure Hyur parents. All Padjal are effectively Hyur children who develop horns, little pointy ears, and retain a rounded-faced, large-eyed childish youth. Alphinaud, for example, had a pointed chin and very long pointy ears, with slenderer elezen eyes. Very elfin rather than ageless as in the Padjal.

The kobold stronghold have a bit of the Movapolos theme from XI in it

Crab minion help text references them being farmed for exp in FFXI a rather well known example would be Kuftal tunnel EXP camps or even Qufim Island.

I don't know if this has already been mentioned, don't think so, but the little wings on the back of the Summoner's artifact armor look like a clear reference to Eiko's wings in IX to me :)
Also Eikons is another name in the game for the primals.

Not sure if it is mentioned in here or not all ready, the quest to unlock Scholar references a War of the Magi. FF6 also made a reference to a war by the same name. Could be a reference, or just coincidence.

I've took a notice to a reference of Final Fantasy VII before the final fight in the Waking Sands. Yda is doing squats in a very similar style to both Cloud and Zack as a warm up. Papalymo comments that her form is off.

When I first heard the term 'FATE' early during ARR's development I immediately noted the similarities to FFIX's ATE. ;) Coincidence? Maybe.

Another obscure reference is to FFVII during the level 30 GLA class quest 'The Rematch' -

after the major battle at Highbridge, when Aldis is dueling Leavold, how Leavold kills himself by throwing himself off the cliff with his arms outstretched while Aldis shouts to him not to, is remarkably similar to the scene at the Desert Prison in FFVII where Dyne kills himself in a similar manner, (and right after being beaten in a duel by Barret too no less.)

Interestingly, Aldis and Leavold are swordsmen here where Dyne and Barret use guns (well, gun-arms, but you get the idea). ;)

I started in Ul'dah during beta and one of the story cutscenes had music from ffviii. Wouldn't be able to tell you which.

There is another possible reference to FFT, but tied to a main plot spoiler.

Zodiac/Zodiark(FFT/FFT:TWotL names) is a summon that can only be obtained on the final level of the Deep Dungeon, and as already pointed out in the thread, Lahabrea lets drop that it is Zodiark who the Ascians worship, and are trying to revive much like the beastmen do with their primals. Just Zodiark may have different conditions besides crystals/worshipers to show up.

Dunno if anyone said it, but when fighting Gaius in the Praetorium he kind of goes into a Trance mode complete with a flashier look. When defeated, he loses the look.

Unless you mean the Japanese"IV" that's just false. Even then that's just false, as the Japanese IV is our II. The theme is in every single NA released Final Fantasy game.

Edit: Would also like to add, that I'm fairly convinced the male Miqote's running animation cycle is the same as Zack Fair's in Crisis Core... Was playing while waiting on a DF party and noticed it :P

Siren, the GF from VIII appears in a main story quest.

The Arcanist spells Ruin and Ruin 2 are pretty much straight out of FFXIII, both with animation and non elemental damage.

It's a reference. Each relic quest involves finding a quest item tome, and the names are different for each jobs. For Scholar, it's "War of the Magi", which was the ancient war in FFVI. It's a definite reference.

COerthas is more similar to FFXI's San D'Oria than FF Tactics. San D'Oria was a heavily religious city state, as it even has a church, and the people there are very chivalroous. Plus, it's a dominantly Elezen area, much like San D'Oria in FFXI.

I don't think Shiva's FFXIV art looks anything like her FFXI counterpart. But Ramuh certainly does resemble his FFXI equivalent. And I can't remember where I saw it mentioned, but it was generally regarded that Atomos in 1.0 was the actual Atomos from FFXI, as it crosses dimensions after all. ;)

As for Coerthas and San d'Oria, I think you're getting mixed up with Ishgard which is the actual nation - Coerthas is simply the highland area that surrounds Ishgard and forms it's outer territory. And Ishgard is also different from San d'Oria in that the later was an actual kingdom with an autocratic king as it's head of state, where as Ishgard is a literal theocracy ruled by a bishop.

For real-world equivalents, San d'Oria is much like England in medieval times where as Ishgard is more like Vatican City - two totally different systems of government (the only nation in Eorzea that was mentioned as being like San d'Oria was Ala Mhigo before the Empire invaded, as that was a theocratic monarchy as well - they even had an order of religious monks in their army called the Fists of Rhalgr.) :)

Oh Shiva from FFXIV are similar to FFXI. Compare the outfits, notice what part of the skin are covered between the two? Also, notice the 'gem' on her forehead, and the cape. They are definitely similar enough to reference FFXI.

Edit: As for Atomos (and the rest of the primals) it honestly wouldn't surprise me if they are indeed from the world of Vana'diel. FFXIV and FFXI have way too many similarities lol.

In XI the summons are referred to as being asleep or dreaming a few times when doing their associated quests.

The current "Job" System bears heavy resemblance to FF1 - Pass a trial and thereby getting a more advanced version of your class

Many of the dungeons require a 4 man party much like FF1, which require (through DF) a balanced party of 1 tank 1 healer 2 dd (red mage can be healer of DD here), which is the recommended way to play through FF1

Death claws finally reappear in the series, bearing their signature skill (Death Claw, The claw) varies by region. I'm pretty sure it inflicts paralysis as in previous titles

Ifrit is the first summon you get as a summoner (aside from Carbuncle) which falls in line with many other titles, where as Ifrit (usually along side Shiva) is learned early on in-game

The pug move "one Ilm punch" is a better localization of the FFXI move "One-Inch Punch" where in both XI and XIV an Ilm is an Inch, XIV gave more clarity of this conversion, which is also a "deadly" hand-to-hand move in real life

Gladiator was initially the Commando role for FFXIII and later XIII-2, but was changed to Commando in order to "update" class names

Sugarloaf type hats bear striking resemblance to FFV's (& FFT) Time Mage Hats

Colossus type enemies (found in many endgame dungeons) bear heavy resemblance to Iron Giant type enemies found in many FF titles

The enemy "Garuda-Egi" Appeared in the Paramina rift in FFXII

Atomos is the Same 3d Model as FF11, both inspired by FF5 boss, Titan and Ramuh are similar,
but they are more evolutions than references, remember it was their last real appareance in a FF series.
(as said the Summons/primals are a staple of the series, if they appear in multiple FF is not anymore a reference)

if is cleary said "im in Trance or he is in Trance" is a reference, if is just "flashy" cause more stronger boss then is just a generic boss powerup from Videogames.

Point is, someone brought up that the Primals in FFXIV are quite similar to their FFXI avatar counterparts, and I'm basically agreeing to the point. Compare the primals from FFXIV to FFXI, and you can see that they are more similar to the FFXI counterparts than any other FF Games.

It is very clear that these primals were based on the FFXI avatars.

Already been pointed out as FFXI's relic/mythic weapons (Other two GC leaders have FFXI's relic weapons as well) but the reference to Vincent's gun wasn't pointed out if I recall.

Under the FFXI references there is a slight error. The Tizona is the Blue Mage's Mythic Weapon not Relic Weapon, Blue Mage's never received a Relic Weapon as the Relic Weapon sword was Excalibur and was exclusive to Paladin and Red Mages.

Also the MRD/WAR Skill Mercy Stroke shares the same name as the Weaponskill of the Relic Dagger: Mandau in XI.

EDIT #2: Also during the very 1st maintenance during Early Access I was able to see the GM server and it was named the Zvahl Server after the Castle Zvahl Zone in FFXI. This was done while being in the Character Creator and getting to the option list of which server you wanted to be placed in. The list was empty as it was during a maintenance but the cursor was still able to be placed where the list normally should be and the name Zvahl Server was displayed with the the description simply stating GM server rather than NA/EU/JP. I haven't tried this since then because I got a chuckle out of it and didn't think much of it until I saw this thread.

Just thought of another obscure (non FF, but still Square-title) reference - the title of the main storyline quest Final Flight of the Enterprise is a thinly-veiled reference to Final Flight of the Osiris, a short CG film set in the Matrix universe that Square's now defunct film studio Square Pictures did for the Animatrix compilation.

When I saw that title I immediately smiled and thought 'hmm, I wonder what that's poking fun at?' :)
