okay. another noob question.

this is my first level 50 character. is it possible to finish this quest as i am now? or do i have to get better equipments first? when do you guys suggest i start going for the relic weapon?

i dont think i need to worry about the melding with materia part. ill just find someone in my fc/ls to meld it for me

Id suggest to gear up frm the lv50 dungeons those are pretty good with a few AF pieces should get you all up and ready.

I just headed out to the sylphlands to kill me some talking cabbages with my unfinished Veil of Weiyu book. My quest log refused to update no matter how many I took out. So I remembered about the glitch switch with the SCH book, and thought to go kill me some Sahagin. Still didn't trigger. Then I happened to notice that the locked quest marker at Hrystmill was labeled as A Relic Reborn: Stardust rod. WTF... So as a last resort I went to kill Kobolds like the BLM quest requires. Still nothing. Anyone else getting this? Our Hydra runs are tomorrow, and I'd like to be ready.

How much are the weapons you need to socket with the materia in order to get your relic weapon going for on legacy servers out of curiosity? For example, I'm a warrior and Barbarian's Bardiche is going for 75k gil on my non-legacy server.

Currently on Excalibur: 43k cheapest for NQ unsocketted axe. 57k for HQ unsocketted. 180k for HQ with the 2 materia (though this feels like a rip off to me)

any particular dungeon to suggest? i'm told there are lv50 dungeons that are harder than usual. and some people farming said dungeons are a-holes

Yes it is. I traded in a used Whispering Madman's Rod for my quest and it still went through

How do I get quicktongue III? The marketboard ones for sale are insanely overpriced...

I heard it was assimilated from white/pinks and greens could not be assimilated.

Also it has to be a disciple of magic item....does it matter if the item is for "all classes"?

You have to be in the right spot. Actually kill the ones with quest markers not the lower level ones. Also, i am fairly sure you need to have the weapon equipped while doing it.

I just want to confirm that I can trade an HQ Champion Lance (with 2 savage aim III) to Gerolt.

It's a waste of cash that I wish I didn't do, but for those that already have an HQ version and don't want to get another one, it's an option. :)

Errors

Silly question, I beat Ifirit (Hard) on the job I'm getting the relic for, got the white hot ember required, my quest updated to obtain a howling gale in the howling eye (hard). However, it's not showing up in my duty finder. I even went back to the blacksmith just in case I had to to talk to him again.

Am I missing a step somewhere?

It's all about the competition and healthy population. I'm on Moogle, one of the most popular non-legacy EU-server and we have maybe 5-10 lv50s for every DoH class. I will ding lv50 today as goldsmith (this being my second lv50 class) and I just checked lodestone and it showed 7 lv50 goldsmiths on my server. And what comes to relic pre-cursors and materias, marketboard it filled with them, the pre-cursor I need for my relic (Sanguine Scepter) is down to 60k gil and materias for it (Savage Might III) down to 10k gil each (used to be over 100k a week ago).
So pretty much everyone has access to their relic weapons (except poor paladins and warriors, their materias are still worth over 100k each).

I'm on Odin EU ( not a legacy server ) , already we have alot of crafters lvl 50.

yesterday I crafted my Champion's lance for a fee of 15k Gil ( I brought him the materials ) and bought 2x Savage Aim lll to meld it , 40k for materia , Farmed Bloody lance , bought 3x Spurce logs (15k gil),6k gil for the Carbonized G3. so It's only around 70k gil to make my Champion's lance melded with 2 Savage Aim lll

i looked at the Wildling's Cesti stats and honestly its so dam similar to my unique lvl 44 im using right now doesnt seem worth the trouble unless it has stages in which it can be upgraded ? to a better weapon

Some people had multiple Mythology resets due to bugs last week. 3 people in our FC have +1 as of last night, just had to get lucky. PLD in this shot has his now but didn't at the time because... he's a lil' slow.

that is really nice picture, but what is the method of obtaining it? you said multiple Mythology reset, which I assume you need to exchange stuffs? I don't see AF+1 in the exchange list though. Please tell me how to obtain this?

Interact with the forge near Gerolt.
You just need the Relic and 2-3 pieces of an item that you can buy in Revenant's for 300 tombstones of mythology each.

A Relic Reborn quest: Transferring from ffxiv (1.0) to ffxiv arr( 2.0)

I was at ifritX also @ 1.0. Now my journal says I need to enter The Navel HARD (titan). I have the key items from ifrit and garuda hard, but I still need to beat garuda to unlock titan. My journal says I've completed all the steps up until titan. One of the steps is defeating hydra. I have not done this in game, but my journal says I've finished the hydra steps of the quest. I am just confused because I still have my unfinished relic. I dont want to go and beat titan, and not get my relic just because I didn't fight hydra, even though my journal says I have. I got in 2.0, beat the story quest then I finished the job quests. After story and Job quests I spoke with Ironheart npc outside of waking sands, then I spoke with rowena in revenants tol. then I spoke with gerolt. when i spoke with gerolt he handed me my unfinished curtana and now he just wants me to fight titan. so I'm hoping I just have to beat titan hard and get 900 philosophy. Why do I still have my unfinished relic?

Hey I'm having a huge problem, I've completed all of the story quests, even up to unlocking the Hardmode Ifrit, I've completed all of the Job quests and I have the ability to find Amdapor Keep in the Duty finder, but I can't get the quest from Ironheart, and I've done all of his quests and he has nothing above his head! Please help! =/

is that not good? so you just have to beat titan and then you would get relic.
1.0 has many more step than 2.0 so they give you step jump a little bit.

Can't say anything about the SMN Relic quest. Still doing the SCH one.
