NA PS3 Players with Collectors Edition Pre-Orders in PSN

I wonder what makes them say that, considering I got a message this morning with a voucher to download the version of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn that got refunded for free, making the extra $39.99 sitting in my PSN Wallet. Perhaps there's just no communication between the higher ups and those who actually deal with people? I don't know. Called them back cuz I still had questions. Here is the quickest fix: purchase the SE. When you receive your free CE on Monday, Delete the SE and re-DL the CE. It's a piss poor work around but it will work according to the rep and you still come out with $20 cheaper in the US.

@Hidalgo - u were SE, we are all CE which the mails have not been sent out yet. That's why we are impatient.

Pretty sure I bought it on August 14th, can check, and now I'm getting the "no valid or active account to play final fantasy a realm reborn" too. Any solutions to this yet?

Is it only those who purchased the standard edition that get that PSN message in time for early access? Seems a little odd to me that they would prioritize the people who payed less instead of those who payed more.

our thoughts precisely. but all of us here are proof that it is happening, that we CE buyers were in fact alienated. oh well.

I had my old amazon CE code and it work. Downloading now for early access.

I think it was easier to do SE. Rep said SE had to recode in order to correct the issue. I'm holding onto faith that I'll get my code today. If it doesn't come, I'll buy the SE tomorrow for the work around

I have been getting 80029564 error. I believe it is a server error since late last nite I did a system restore on my playstation 3.

No luck on the phone after two different calls. I'm tempted to just buy the standard edition and request for a refund after I get my voucher. Seems unlikely but I almost don't care. Then again I'd be stuck with two digital copies and feeling gypped.

Lol, I just got a survey email from SE in my e-mail. Gotta love Karma

FFXIV:ARR is not a race to see who can make the most progress earliest, fastest, or in the shortest amount of time. But early access is given as a bonus for pre-order partly for those reasons. So we can stay ahead of the curve and see much of Eorzea before the rest. Or at least, so we can keep up with everyone else.

This entire thread makes me sad. How it's been going on for hours upon hours without official comment from SquareEnix/FFXIV team just plain sux. All we need is a message letting us know steps are being taken to work this out. Better yet, an approximate resolution time/date. All this guesswork and OCD xmb message checking is not fun at all. It makes you wonder all sorts of scary things. Like, "They've forgotten about us!" or, "Did I delete the fix-all message?!" O__O

Someone in a position of authority, please-- respond. We've all been looking forward to this day for a long time coming. It might be silly to put so much importance on a game, but that's what being a fan is all about.

I'm in the same boat. Pre-ordered the CE and still no XMB message.

I went ahead and bought the SE. Hopefully they will let me refund if and when I get my voucher. Said nothing about my CE items when logging in. Still under my service list though. Praying I didn't screw myself over somehow. I'm fine with coming out with $20 and no more issues but we'll see. Sorry guys but time to get in game. I don't want to stress myself out any further.

I ordered the CE off the PSN a few days ago (not in the time frame mentioned) but I noticed while linking my account under bonus items it didn't have everything listed and I had no message on the PSN. I am able to log in and play so I don't know if I have to wait until the official day to receive the items or what.

i wonder of any of these mods noticed/bothered?

All items are released on launch day. Which will make some of them useless as they are lvl 1-10~15 items.

I'd prefer to stand thank you. An ice cream analogy really? Please learn to not make comparisons between two totally different things. This is a totally different type of business, SE isn't here to sell ice cream. Now back to your analogy, the ice cream man replaced his ice cream. He didn't replace his ice cream AND give the customer his money back because the ice cream man is smart enough to know that he would lose more by doing so.

Anyways SE already made their decision but they could have handled it better. That is all.

This is horrible man, and of course the ones who pay most get screwed cause we are the minority, most I'm sure payed for Standard. We need a Malcolm X or Al Sharpton to stand up for us at Square HQ. Give a "I have a dream, that eorzea will let my black @ss in with CE items" kinda thing.

@Beaters- I would if PvP was on, I'd hunt him down and cast him to the deepest pit of the seven Hells...but alas no chocobo. Especially not one with Behemoth Armor...damn you square, dam you to hell!!!!!
