Early Access & Account issues (PS3)

The tension is killing me. I'm so close to breaking down and just buying another copy (I bought physical CE so cancel/reorder is not an option).
I don't mind dropping another few bucks but I feel like I'll just be rewarding SE with more money for screwing up.

Just started the process of making a EU PSN account, inputted my code and what do you know? FFXIV ARR Early Access showed up. =_=

Deleted the FFXIV ARR Client that I previously had and am now downloading the EA client I got from my EU account. Hopefully this works!

Damn, I wish I knew this earlier. This is pretty awesome though. Its like watching a really good sports movie about a guy who's throwing that last hail mary for a the championship.

Even if this doesn't work, Valkim is a hero in my book.

This is the worst customer service I've ever seen in my life. I've wasted hours today trying to claim something I've already paid for, with no success. If they don't get their shit together by Saturday morning, I'm done.

I guess they really don't understand what the problem is.

THe redeeming the EU PSN account will work, but I am not going to do it because that would mean FF on ps3 to be linked to my european account. I would rather sadly wait until I can get a US code and link it to my US psn account

Ok, now I can't even log in. I go to login and try to put my code in again, and it takes me to an Almost done page and asks for a nick, but I already have one.

What crazy is the NA PRE-ORDER page you enter your 6-3-6-3 code is somehow defaultd to the login menu to EU members page I just tried this on safari and tried it on firefox I had cleared all history, cookies, and cache. The page is just messed up dont matter if I click the US flag or use the tab that says English US it defaults to the Eu members login. I wasnt logged in.

So now my account nick is SilverMoon90000 instead of SilverMoon9000. Arrgh.

That login bug could be what started this whole mess. or maybe not. You can change the login screen to NA by adding /login?locale=na
(ex https://membership.square-enix.com/sqex/login?locale=na) at the end of the string. Not sure if its even in use though because it doesn't have a flag icon like the other ones do.

changed it to na and processed my code and got the same eu code. in fact I went to just about all other languages and tried it and i got the same code. It looks like it doesn't even try to process it, it just checks if its already been submitted and if that returns true then it just gives you the same exact code. :(

"EDIT - Team - I think I found the hiccup. The code is only useful you didnt download the client during P4. This is simply a client download code for early access IF you deleted the P4 client/didnt get into P4 - the early access is granted to the account and the bonus material given as a service account when you log in. So as long as you put the code through on the website while logged into your Square account (or FFXIV account) you should be good to go and use the P4 client!"

If all else fails I will try and redownload the open beta and see if it works saturday

Every time I go to the preorder page it takes me to a page to finish registering. Even after I changed my nick. Was still getting the same invalid code, but I can't even check my account.

it could be a reason why you might get a bad region error. PAL is the display standard for the UK and EU. NTSC is the display standard for north america. Most tv's can do both. It most likely won't work but its worth a shot.

im on the ps3. didnt know there was a na and eu client for ps3

I've been wondering about this since you started downloading so to confirm didn't you have the beta client installed? I believe it works if you have that because you would then not need to download the client, just redeem the code to have the EA linked to it.

yea but its a EU code

i have the client from p4

the issue is a ton of us were given EU PSN codes the same way PC users were given EU PC codes. Except PC got a fix and PS3 did not.

Val can you take a picture of the error you get when you log into the NA client on ps3?

All you need to do then is go to preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com and login using the account you use to log into the P4 beta client. Then redeem the code. Write down the code. Login into the beta P4 client, it will update. It will then ask to link the bonus content service account. Say yes. Log in again and it will say wait for early access. ^This worked for me since I had the P4 client still
