I'm not sure how betas usually work, but do you think we'll be able to see more of the world than the Black Shroud area for the Beta? Woods make me claustrophobic.

I think you will. The road map shows in Phase 3 Limsa Lominsa opening up for that phase. So not sure about all the phases but it will be at that time.

And why do ppl keep saying there was so much in that letter? A cupl screenies of character models (most of which we basically seen before)? I appreciate the letter, anything is better than nothing, I guess I just didn't take away from it what alot of you all in this thread did. The pictures of his RL adventures were entertaining though, especially since I had no clue that even went on.

I am kind of scratching my head on that one. It says the "quest paths" will be open for Ul'Dah and Limsa in Phase 3. It doesn't mention in any of the phases if we are bound to the Black Shroud related areas until Phase 3.

I guess we will see. I would guess that in Phase 1 it will be Black Shroud only again, I could be wrong however, and do hope I am wrong, haha.

Been curious about this lately myself, though my best guess would be Thanalan and La Noscea might be partly opened as well. At the very least its what I think makes the most sense since its looking like all the classes (except maybe Arcanist) will be available starting from phase 1, especially since they haven't stated otherwise that only certain classes would be available like they did with the alpha.

My educated guess is that the area will be open, but there won't be any quests there to level on, making the place slightly barren content-wise.

And still I'm the only one who seems to care about the huge Ifrit! ; ; There are some things to say about that.

*The benchmark might feature scenes of Primals.
*The Primals are all going to be much bigger now that they're free-roaming.
*Free Companies may get to summon something that big.
