usually content doesn't match CGs.
Ifrit, Garuda would be much more kick ass in CGs. not so much in-game. or only hardcore elite players would be able to kill them. And forget about killing any of the stronger summons.

I don't know if I missed it but I didn't see Yda or Papalymo...maybe I was just too wrapped up in the world gettin blown up ><

It seems as though Louisoix, having failed at binding Bahamut with the assistance of the faith presented to the twelve, warped all the fighters away, but may have died himself... or maybe he warped at the last minute.

Now thats a trailer!!!!! To echo the sentiments of all above posters I was moved deeply. Had that same feeling when Sephiroth killed Aeris years ago in awe and disbelief at the same time. Bahamut is a beast and makes midgardsormr look like a mere wyvern.

Idk how but not looking back when Darnus gains the red eyes I thought of Bahamut but shook that off like SE had lost their touch.

I was wrong!!!!! Bring on the Live letter and 2.0 yes please. I was gonna play anyway but now I am in it for the long haul my fate is set on FFXIV A realm reborn. Time for some payback.

For the last time : the original name is Dalagab in Japanese... Doesn't make the dragon not Bahamut, but don't far-fetch the explanations...

Loved it so much, was so emotional. ): 2.0 can't come any sooner.

That was the most amazing and sad endings Ive seen in a long time.... Definitely worth staying up for. Louisoix deserves to be avenged and a monument made of him in each city state.

oh yeah, louisoix totally summons like a glyph or something, which represents Althyk, the Keeper (time and space deity) when he sends us back in time, so they are either gods in human form or damn close

its at about 5:15 in the video, when he casts the final spell its the hourglass glyph of Althyk, the Keeper

Dalagab?

There's no L in Japanese, even in katakana... the closest approximation I can think of (assuming all other letters are right) would be... Daragabu? Unless they spell it in English, but I doubt...

Anyway, regardless, the English name they chose is Dalamud. I don't think I'm far-fetching explanations with the similarity between the two English names.

Stuff like this is what sets the FF mmo's apart from the rest of the genre, the incredible storylines they have, that and that had of been the most amazing cinematic for a video game ive ever seen. Even more so since it was the players who were the ones fighting during the movie. Very nicely done Yoshi-p, you gave me and a lot of other people some serious goosebumps with that epic trailer.

It was focusing on the original team from the opening cinematic of FFXIV, none of which were monk or dragoon. There were probably some in there, somewhere, though...

My comment about the English names being similar still stands.

Also, I seriously doubt it is 'for the last time' if you have only made two posts ever, both of which were directed at me. I'm glad you felt inspired enough to make an account just to tell me I must be wrong because the Japanese translation is slightly different than the English names they chose. =P You really can't deny the similarity in English. If you want to call it a coincidence, that's fine, but I'm pretty sure large details in a made up world are intentional. It might not mean anything outside of, "You know what would be cool? If we gave the giant moon in the sky a similar name to Bahamut," but I'm holding to my theory anyway!

Hmm in FFXIV songs are classed as magic.... So did Louisox use the song of time?

lol can't believe ppl calling him Shinryu his look and size is a LOT similar to FF11's ...Bahamut is a f-ing beast SE doesn't go small when presenting the Wyrm King all the primals are trash to him.
