but the axolotl is elpis related not island!!

Some mounts are harder to get than others. If you want this one it's gonna be a case of getting Savage done when it comes out or undersizing it in two years. You'll still have this mount faster than most mounts in the game with the grind behind some of them. It's just the way it is. It's also a nice reward for raiders so I'll have some of that.

Going to enjoy riding the Axolotl around the open world in a few weeks.
I'll be back riding my usual mount roulette of Gil Mounts and Demi Ozma a few days after though.

That's how I feel with new mounts too. I'll use them for a few days then go back to my usual ones. Astrophe, Peacock and Gobwalker.

The argument also makes no sense. The bragging rights that come with pixels usually only exist because it took effort to acquire those pixels, so putting the mount into content that is complete faceroll would eliminate all supposed bragging rights attached to it.

But why does it matter if it was switched to something else. It really doesn’t scream savage at all. That why people are saying island sanctuary, you know where there is tons of animals and water etc instead.

Island Sanctuary just got 3 new mounts. The ambystoma critter shows up during the expansion and is found in Elpis, so it's fitting that the last boss of the expansion, who is also tied to the story of Elpis, drops the Megaloambystoma mount.

Lets be honest, shall we? People are asking for this mount to be easier to get because it looks nice, not because they are concerned about the aesthetic of savage rewards lol. But there is nothing wrong with nice looking mounts being hard to get, or savage dropping a nice looking mount instead of some title other people can't even see because they aren't displaying titles in their UI.

Listen, all you need to accept is that some of the items is barred behind content, because it is that content, that drops those items, everyone else accepted it as it is, and I know from mounts and the likes that I really wanted I went to the battle for.. Centurio Tiger is my favorite... if you put in an ok decent effert it takes a year... if you no life it... maybe 3-6months.... if you do it casually and joining hunts often and now and then.. maybe 6-7 years.

If you want something, put in the effort, stop making excuses and think everything should be easy to get.

Sounds like a git gud kinda thing.

The mount is a reward.
You get rewards for doing good and playing the game well.

If you want free handouts. Dunno what to tell you.

It can and should be something else. Put the axolotl in island sanctuary and give them something else. Its not about difficulty to me. Its having the mount be somewhere more suitable where more ppl can enjoy.

For what it is worth, you can't do the island sanctuary unlock quest at level 52, as it is in an endwalker zone.

So forgive me if I think this is bait or that you are not being genuine.

hold on your horses, some comments saying you have to be "getting "gud"" just to be able to "do" savage raiding... Let me laugh ok, more like being at least average at a game to clear them. But rare and rarer are the people even able to reach the treshold of normal tier level gameplay in this game at least, for they are way too much cocooned and sheltered and pampered from any criticism by corporate censorship, making them weaker and weaker, both mentally and otherwise. I'd say on the other extreme hand of the problem, all those Log and rmt sellers don't help this issue, they on the other hand do their best to destroy any normalcy attempt on the party finder by being also, sheltered corporate little goons working for their own little salary and benefits, while given advantages and privileges shown in some discord as codes stolen / lost from fraudulent use of credit cards and don't shy away from saying so in these channels, for clout chasing i guess or showing off they know a guy that know a gm that give away free stuff in the staff. All working hand in hand in a parasitic relationship symbiosis rotting the most interesting part of the game very well indeed. And i see this happen at every patch of raid tier'ing for the last 3 years at the very least. with an accelleration of this "behaviour" since august 2020.

I’m so happy it’ll be tied to savage. I’ve been getting so tired of all the mech or edgy mounts. Finally another pink mount to add to my collection.

I mean they've been locking mounts behind savage content for years at this point.....but I'm sure they'll change their mind this time....just for you....Should just put a mount behind the next Ultimate just to spite you.

Yeah Island Sanctuary is a good place for the mount as well. People don't seem to realize that most people don't raid in this game and it's unfair to lock the best mounts behind no-life content.

Even if I probably wont get this mount in endwalker, doing so sometime during 7.X in an unsync PF run would be a whole lot less bothersome to me than having to grind out a boring dungeon possibly 100+ times with trusts for a ridicolously low drop rate they’d put it at because of the relative ease of the content.
