Thoughts on the new street attire.

I bought it for a family member who plays a pocket tank for me, I think it works quite well for a GNB in camo colours and it's made them very happy.

It's certainly better than the Omega mess we got a few months back.

I don't think modern attire belongs in the game at all, but I understand some people like the aesthetic. Will I be buying it? No. Does it bug me it exists? No. Would I like them to do more of it? No. Do I expect them to actually do that if it sells well? No.

I just want the jacket without the crop top or offer a version with a t shirt instead of a crop top. the vest looks cool but it makes me want sleeves on it. the sneakers are ok but not the greatest. Still want proper timbs as well.

I like them both, and I would like just a crop of the chocobo top too. :)

Eh, I quite enjoy the set... Whilst I don't need the hat.... I would prefer to be able to wear the hat. I would have preferred to be able to enjoy the set in all of it's glory, but unfortunately I can't. Instead I'm stuck with a set that I like... Yet cannot complete due to... Many factors that have been mentioned in various threads. All of which are inconsistent and show a lack of foresight.

Today in a P2S farm group when I entered EVERYONE had it except me xD...
It was very strange I regret not taking a screenshot.

Not everyone had the full set, but all of them had the top part at least and the rest was a '' street glam '' too even if it wasn't the full set.
I really stood out like a sore thumb lol.

Spring shorts would work for the females. I'd still like to see some jean shorts make it in, even if they just took the frontier trousers and brought the roll up to the knee.

It's horrendously ugly. Seriously can they come up with something new? This boring ass 2010 jrap bs is really getting stale at this point. The funniest part about this though is that people with no sense of style just throw it on themselves thinking they're cute and all. I have to laugh.

I don't really like it tbh. I looked at the individual pieces and none of them are something I would wear on my Elezen or match with other glams. It's something a little schoolboy would wear. Oddly enough, the school uniform isn't, and I got that instead lol. The pants are very nice looking and versatile.

Me when i lie. But on a topic of dyes... Why does your hobo looking vest is a color of fresh avocado vomit and your mummy gloves you presumably stole from a corpse in the Tomb of Tut Ankh Amun are white? Those blue jeans borrowed from second hand back in the 90s are far from retro and reek of an "old lady in the bus" kind of smell. The boots are... something else. The hat reminds me of London children coughing on a fabric. The color scheme is a HOT mess, the outfit is tacky and all over the place. It does not complement the skin, hair, facial features. A character leveling vs a character at max. No Glam counts as desired outcome until they have access to all possible looks. Also the level of pretentiousness. I mean I expect that outside a goth club in 1991 smoking a clove and rating if people are goth enough, not on FFXIV forums in 2022.

As a woman, who took fashion in College, I would rate this look as Lazy and uninspire. Your going with Tee shirt and cargo pants with ovenmits and motorcycle boots. Now is you swapped out the gloves with half gloves and put a jacket on that said you got a SDS Fenrir and you're not afraid to use it, then I would rate the look a lot better.

You're either lying, did not do well in college or graduated in the 50s. The level 60 GNB not a lot of good options for new characters, being harsh on a look until they reach max is silly. At least she has a style that makes sense. I personally wear some stuff like that IRL, well when I'm not wearing Gothic looks or Trans Flag Tee shirts. Today I'm in a trans flag dress and black leggings. boring I know, but Saturday Mornings is about relaxing at 10am.

For one thing, Mary is not wearing a one piece, she is wearing the subject of this thread in the Transgender flag colors.

Those colors in that order. For Mary I did Hot Pink only so it would pop and look like early 90s Hispanic Thrash Metal. Which is a similar look to Early 90s Hispanic Rap. I'm more Goth and Metal, so for me the Thrasher look of Venice California fits my aesthetic better.

My old Main aka Pink is the New Black: The choice of pink has to be the matching Pink in the Trans Flag. For my BLM look. As her house is Trans Themed, and she usually just sits around her house looking Trans, relaxing, and just being the best Gothic Trans Elf she can be. I usually also have the early stage ARR relic weapon for her glam, as it's the classic BLM look. But the new staff is the classic ARR staff with added meteors.

Well glad you noticed, as the Gothic Music Scene is about being Undead, undead, undead, looking like the dead is kind of the point. Swapping the palate from black to pink is kind of the point of the character.

I don't think this is really a general glamour thread, but I do like to see glams in general. :) I kind of want to buy this outfit later this month. Maybe I will. It'll be old news by then though. :eek:

Geezus people, it's almost like everyone has their own particular taste and style. Some like to keep things basic and simple (which is fine) while others go more flashy and out there (also fine). Just because it doesn't fit your particular taste doesn't mean you need to nitpick the crap out of someone and try to use that as an argument against them.

I'm not a fan of the full shirted top and the shoes, I think the shoes look like those silly sneaker slippers, but I LOVE everything else. I wear the cropped top in a lot of my glams and ever since I went miqo, I've been wearing the cap because I think it looks especially good on them.

A bit expensive, I agree, I think all the clothing is expensive given it is exclusive to only one character, but that's my gripe with a lot of the items in the online cash shop, mounts excluded as they're account wide there at least.

While I agree, my whole life philosophy is let people do what they want with them selves, and don't be an a**h*** about peoples differences. But we got a guy playing at "queer eye" pretentious, and his fashions sense is high school drop out, as someone who took fashion in college, before I changed over to engineering, and then psych. ((7 years of college, 4 majors... as a twenty something I really had no clue as to what I wanted from life.))
