Hey guys I got the nightmare scene last night and I have not done any of the last content, then only group thing I've ever done is darkhold, so I think anyone can and will see the cutscene at some point.

I wonder if the nightmare scene is triggered by a certain number of log outs from the bed?

Is it possible to get the nightmare more than once?

Got the nightmare in my very first night after the patch :o
(Didn't do anything but some leveling at raptors, so it's not dependant on doing Garuda quest or any of the new content)

Since then, I had one dream about an egg and got a boiled egg from it
and a night without any dream but after waking up noticed someone smuggled a Limsa inn cookie into my bed:eek:

I haven't had the CS nightmare more than once... yet.

Nice, his expression is delightful; good ones for the others as well for each race & gender quite unique the way they claimed into the bed (especially the Lalafell's ^^).

The only If I've got is that the bed animations could be a bit slower, and that faceplant into the pillow needs adjustment, overall I like it.

Finally had the nightmare today.

The Nightmare was excellent! Scared me to see all of our friends die just like that and then seemingly die ourselves in the hands of madman Nael. From the looks of I can see Yda, Papalymo, Thancred, Y'shtola, Merlwyb, Kan-E-Sanna, Raubahn in full combat gear dead before you. Premotion of things to come? Oh I hope so.

I haven't got this whole 'sleep' thing worked out yet. :confused:

Ugh... I walked away after logging in and the nightmare happened while XIV was muted and something else was playing, then I turned back and noticed and tried fixing things in the volume mixer, then decided I'd just attempt breaking my Internet connection and in short I pretty much missed the cutscene. Logging back in left me standing beside the bed. Is there any chance the cutscene will happen again?

For a second I thought I was the only one who noticed that... Did it say it somewhere and I didn't read about it? I was just about to mention it and you posted right on the last page. XD

Soulfire, I think you might be screwed ; ; I don't know of anyone having the nightmare twice, nor of a way to re-watch it. Hopefully that will get added as other have suggested.^^
You can always watch the vids posted by other players. (I know it isn't quite the same :()

I used to always poke fun at Elvaan in XI for "posing" no matter what they were doing. I see that tradition has carried on in XIV.

It has come to my attention, that people are getting dreams in text on their log(not the nightmare dream video.) I have not once seen a message in my log saying what type of dream I have had. Perhaps I have something in the log unchecked.. My log settings are default however.. Can anyone give any input on this?

I'm not sure what the text dream stuff is, but for me it shows up after all the System Message stuff.
You are using the bed to log off, right?
Maybe try (c)hecking the bed when you "wake up" (log back on) to see if you get a random food item/crystal/potion. If you do, try setting log to "show all" and look for it.

A flash will appear above you when you're doing the normal animation of getting off the bed and text will appear. I had this appear in my log:
You had a vivid dream that a crystal fell from your hands and shattered upon the ground...

I checked the bed and got five lightning shards.

I always log off using the bed now, sometimes it does the flash.. No matter what if I check the bed after logging back in there is an item, food for longer periods - crystals for only a few hours, but I have never seen that text. Like I said I am using default settings so I would think it would fall under something that is there by default. I will look at the log settings and see if there is anything I can check that looks promising.

Is it ONLY when you get get the particle effect when you stretch your arms that the text appears?

I've only seen dream text when i get a flash that i can remember.

It's tied to System Messages.

You obtain a Roost biscuit.
Jacien Visenad successfully hecked the bed.
You eat a Roost biscuit, and find it to be divine.

The "dream" around the campfire is the same thing as normal ones. No CS.

The nightmare happened again for me, but technically I did force disconnection before it finished the first time.

I'm happy about that and recorded it, but unfortunately I was a culinarian... I wish there was a replay feature for it.

every time I log out or whatever in my bed, when I log back on and check my bed I get an hourglass biscuit. :)
