Explain the help text of the Wind-Up Cid minion. Who is 'Gertrude' and why would Cid want to name his granddaughter after her? Was Gertrude the name of his childhood nursemaid that he mentioned briefly in the Rabanastre questline? And why skip over to 'granddaughter'? Does Cid have a child that we don't know about? Or is all of it some in-joke with the localization team?

Do we know any more about this tyrant or this period of time at all? What was the tyrant's name? So far I haven't been able to find it anywhere.

In the Scholar quest "A Safe Place to Hide", male miqo'te poachers were identified in the quest text as Coeurlclaws. Have the Keeper bandits expanded to allow males into the gang, whereas previously most recruits were women to become part of the Coeurlclaw King's harem?

I really want to know about the day-to-day life of moon keeper / duskwight, community-life outside of "them poachers/bandits."
What is home life for the non-integrated, non-generic quest mob moon keeper/duskwight? What kind of art / crafts do their cultures perform? Can we get more info on their spirituality outside of "something about face paint and moon" and "[nothing]"?

Is there any rhyme or reason behind the regional accents in-game? The majority of voiced actors are British - which I figure comes down to the recording studio since HW being in London - but between the different locales you have a lot of regional British accents covered. How do you decide on these variances?

(Second part to the question: Thancred grew up in Limsa, a place where everyone has very Northern/Western English accents, yet speaks with a Southern/estuary English accent. Did he just sorta teach himself a "posher" accent while studying in Sharlayan?)

When Gaius Van Balsaer gave his speech when he first appeared in ARR, he mentioned the name "Sin." Sin was from FFX, so in what context does Sin have to do with in FFXIV? Will Sin appear in some form in FFXIV since Gaius mentioned it?

There's no consistency. Haven't played with English voices in a while, but I'm pretty sure both Alphinaud and Raubahn had American accents (at least on ARR's release), whereas Y'shtola and Yda were British, despite being from the same places.

What were the Grand Company Leaders like during their youth? Will the game ever do more to explore Merlwyb and Kan-E-Senna like they did with Rauhban during Stormblood?

Why is the sky in Azys Lla such a strange colour?

Other than Mitron's, the English lore book removed the Ascian Scion of Light titles (Martyr, Majestic) that were present in the Japanese version of the book.

What information are you able to share on the origins of Omega (such as its home world and enigmatic master), as well as the methods used not only in its creation, but also in granting its abilities?

What is the truth of ayzs Lla? In game lore would have us believe this land mass is from the burn however there are meracydian aspects to it.

I would like to hear a little more insight into what constitutes the size and powers of a primal, And more specifically Bahamut. I know the basic understanding of summoning is that it's based on sacrificial aether (usually via crystals) and a concentration of wishes for the creature you summon. However, is the size/power due more to the crystal quantity, or the wishes, or can primals grow in size over time? I can definitely picture Bahamut growing in size from his initial summoning until his release from dalamud due to the constant flow of aether during his imprisonment. In any case, no primal summoned to date has been anywhere remotely close to the size of Bahamut. Even the Warring Triad, which were from the same place as Bahamut, were of more average primal size. And Alexander the fortress could be considered similar size, but Alexander the Primal is not. From a visual perspective, I am under the impression that he was made Godzilla sized to make a calamity seem more like an actual calamity. And there are different fan theories as to why he is that large when all of dragonkind (even midgarsomner) are significantly smaller than him. I would love to hear an official explanation from the dev team, so please let me look forward to it :)

How much time does it take for a boat to travel from Eorzea to Kugane? What's the usual journey time? Months? Days? What about the travel taken on airships or even yol to the Burn or to Garlemald?

Are we going to see more of Laurisse de Jervaint, and-- for instance-- help her evolve into a member of a new Heavensward?

With Heavensward bringing about depth of Midgardsormr and the First Brood, we met or heard about most of these dragons. However, two were completely left out. Will we be seeing them in the future?

The "Megalith game" that apparently originated from the Garlean empire,--which the Encyclopedia quotes Varis as being a genius at playing-- it seems to involve strategy of some sort. Can you please explain this game and if we will ever get to play it?

Is there a more in-depth lore regarding the statues of the eight sentinels that stand outside the crystal tower?

The Allagans. Why is there a whole ancient empire that is geared up for a massive war with magitech and whose soldiers that were cloned and gifted the echo? Who were they fighting? Why do I feel like there is a lot to say about the Allagans and you're just not telling us?

The voidsent seem quite interested in All Saints' Wake. Was the Night of Devilry, or an equivalent, present on the Thirteenth?

There are several references (eg. talking to the aetheryte guards at the starter cities) that when people die, their bodies break down into aether and return to the Lifestream while the soul remains.

This brings to mind something like FFX where bodies literally dissolve into swirling lights after death - however, everything we've actually seen indicates bodies being treated as more permanent physical objects (as in our world). The dead are buried, and are expected to still be found in their tombs later on.

At the same time, there are signs that it doesn't work quite like our world, particularly that mortal wounds (when actually shown and not left to the player's imagination) seem to 'crystallise' - I'm thinking of Haurchefant and Regula, and I think there was another more recently but I can't remember who.

Could you please elaborate on what the "body breaking down into aether" involves? Is it actually just their interpretation of natural decay or is there another process you have in mind?

Mordyn at the Seventh Sage says that Carvallain "watches over the business [of the Kraken's Arms] 'imself, when 'e's not busy watchin' over 'is lovely little Elezen bride".

There's never been any other mention of Carvallain having a bride, he doesn't seem to have any other Elezen crew members, and then there's the running not-quite-romantic-subplot with him and Rhoswen.

Who is Mordyn talking about? Is Carvallain really married, or has something been mistranslated, or is it some kind of obscure reference that hasn't been expanded upon?

In the ARR quest "Lady of the Vortex", we see an Echo vision of Cid's past, and help him regain his memories. It seems to show our character appearing in a blaze of light and gifting him his goggles. Is this supposed to be something that actually happened in the past event that we're perceiving, or is it simply metaphorical within the vision?


I realise the 'metaphor' option probably makes more sense, but the scene around it (with Cid remembering that was the first time he wore the goggles, then Biggs and Wedge reacting to him wearing them) seems real enough.

Was there ever an Ascian civilization, perhaps before Zodiark was sundered from Hydaelyn? If so, could you please tell us a little about it?

Can you tell us more about Ascian heirarchy? For instance, Lahabrea had servants. Were they originally mortals? Who would they serve after he's gone? Do all of the overlords have servants?

The Echo manifests differently in each person who has it. Is this because the Echo encompasses every power we've seen, and each person only has mastery of a few parts of it? Or is there another reason you can tell us?

How was the 4th era lost to history?

Prior to when Gaius became the Legatus of the XIVth, who was the Legatus of the XIth legion (the Eleventh legion), which is where Gaius Van Baelsar had served as the Tribunus Angusticlavius?
