Got my first clear of floor 100 last night. I think HoH is quite a good follow up to PotD. Obviously could be better in many ways like longer story cutscenes and less reuse of old bosses, but that's just the reality of game dev time constraints. Magicite doesn't change the gameplay much but it's nice that they worked primal summoning into the game somehow and it feels good to use.
PotD felt very tedious to rerun after getting all the rewards we wanted from there so I imagine HoH will soon be the same and primarily used for people to catch up leveling jobs from 61 to 70. Deep dungeons overall have been a good staple to add to the game as an alternative to other content and much more successful than the aborted exploratory mission concept which started and ended with The Diadem.

I just wish that
1. You could follow anyone's saved file, so long as you've unlocked access to the given floor already. That way if you want to continue, having used a fixed party file, you can -- even if 3 out of 4 party members are now different. I don't see why that extra constraint should be placed on fixed parties.
2. There was a third option (or a second "matched" option) by which to search for a matched 1/2/1 party, specifically.
3. The RNG rewards, at least in classification of the drop and therefore the RNG table being sorted therefrom (i.e. increase the number of bag types, and move the whole lot to the currency or key items sections), increased more significantly over the floors in question, even if that means nerfing early tiers slightly. Perhaps include a further bonus (that a bag will up-rank) with consecutively run floors (i.e. if running multiple sets of floors without exiting).

I hate to join the chorus of negative voices on this one, because a) I don't generally share the negative sentiments towards the game as a whole (or the recent additions to the game as a whole) that seem prevalent on here, b) I enjoyed PotD a lot, and c) I was really looking forward to HoH.
Unfortunately, though, HoH just doesn't work for me. It's not that I was expecting anything revolutionary, but I expected for it to at least reach the bar set by PotD. The story made no impact at all, and I can scarcely remember any of the events that transpired whatsoever; and if we were given any solid information about what HoH actually is, then I must have missed it. And I was never one of the people who ground out the same 10 floors in PotD, so basically being forced to do that this time doesn't sit well with me in the least. Thirty floors for the casual players feels like a bit of a kick in the teeth after PoTD's 100, to be honest.
I feel like SE had a great opportunity to provide alternate endgame progression for casual players with both HoH and Eureka, but I think they dropped the ball with HoH, and it doesn't sound like Eureka really fulfils that role either. Back to grinding dungeons and hunts, I guess?
