You can do things more than once you know. In fact, if you think it's actually fun I'd suggest you try that.

So if I look up your character I'm guessing you've done them all right?
INB4 "well I don't want to, then I'll have NOTHING to do!"
INB4 "I don't play much!"
INB4 "I could if I wanted too!"
INB4 <generic excuse here>
Oh speaking of, if you don't play much... then don't comment on the game at all! Oh and guess what this game had anima from day 1... get over it. You spend more time on the forums than in game. Go back to WoW or whatever D&D crap you like. :D huehuehuehuehuehue
LOL when people want to whine about anything they make this kind of thread, guardians aspects are the same thing, if you remember in WoW you had that bonus for rested status but it lasted just a few levels, with guardian aspect you cand do up to 20 leves that gives you something close to 5 levels of exp. So is the same thing, and yeah as people say leveling a DoL or craft is really tedious so having some help is not so bad and you wont be leveling from 1 to 50 with that bonus.
Then you should realize more than anyone that this game is constantly changing and adapting to modern MMO's and that Anima has been in it forever.
This argument is beaten to dust at this point. Face it, they ARE putting in rested XP - they would not have announced it otherwise. Deal with it.
You should just DEAL with me being here than. Deal with it. I will argue any point in the game I don't like, no one can stop me soo you should probably just leave now ^.^
I already found and compiled a list of what the positive points of rested EXP are:
I just wanted to expand on one (Adding value to subscription fee).
We all pay 10 dollars a month for this game, some pay more. We aren't all always on though. For those who aren't always on (especially those who seldom get a chance to log on), they may think to themselves "why am I paying a full subscription fee when I hardly have any time to play?". By adding in the rest system, players are receiving a small bonus while they are logged out.
When you log into the game, you are encouraged to play in moderation (we all know there are those that don't, though, lol). Video game addiction is something that is brought up in lawsuits, you see it on the news while watching TV, you read about it online. Square Enix tried to add in a system that facilitated a healthy play style with fatigue, and players rejected it (just like the original system in WoW), well now they are switching to a system that won't penalize you for playing too much, but rather offer you an incentive to actually log out.
I'm sorry, but if you are against this system, you are being entirely too closed minded or just plain selfish. As far as leveling goes, I don't find grinding on the same monsters over and over for hours on end to be content, nor do many other people. It is wonderful if you feel it is, but we shouldn't all be held back on it just because there are those that like it. If you like grinding on the same monsters non stop, go do it, nobody is telling you that you can't with this new system, you can grind crafting mats, grind chest keys, do kill quests, or do it for absolutely no reason whatsoever besides the need to satisfy your fetish.
I deal with it by trollin your posts, it brings me much laughter. Anything you can say I can say better I can do anything better than you! Yes I can, yes I can!
Anima Anima Anima Anima RestedXP RestedXP RestedXP! When I get on I'm going to find your friends and powerlevel them, invite you then kick you for not using anima! huehuehuehuehuehuehuhehue.
Seriously. Your arguments are fruitless because they aren't changing anything. RestedXP is coming. Anima is staying. Level sync in 2.0. Intra-City Travel is coming. Deal. With. That! hue hue!
SOoo surplus all over again!?!?!?!? NUUU IT ENCOURAGES ME TO NOT PLAY THE GAME!
I like to compromise, but nobody here seems to like the same, I've already said why not just throw in exp rings that can be charged once a month, instead of rested exp.
Despite the fact that he is kind of a troll, The point stands.
Gaining XP in this game is so fast that there is no need for an XP bonus like this regardless of how often you play. The only thing in this game that needs Bonus XP is Crafting and this would be nothing more than a band-aid fix for that.
Rested XP is a gimmick, and it is far from necessary in a game where the most casual of players can hit level cap after less than 50 hours of game play. 50 hours of gameplay is less than the average single player RPG ten years ago..
how about everytime we get exp a window pop up if we would spend some guardian aspect on the exp? ^^
1st- this game isn't designed to stay at a level 50 cap
2nd- right now is a free for all for us, its not 2.0, they could make leveling stupid and awful in 2.0 for all we know, or they could keep the leveling rate the way it is and give more level 50 and beyond content thus focusing the real grind towards end game and maybe the next level cap increases, getting to 51 will be more than 100,000, getting to 55, would...i don't even want to think of it getting from 50-55 might be two 75s worth of exp from XI haha or even more. End game centric games are better for the age group of player that play this game, (over 21 typically and definitely over 18 most of the time) The average gamer (in general) is 36, older people more so play mmos than younger people. Most people with real lives and jobs and work, would like a grind still, but not to be put at an absolute disadvantage in a game because of real world things. I hate nothing more than being told "you're not committed to this game", by losers who don't work and don't go to school. Yeah if I was loser I'd play this game all day too.
3rd-This is very good for crafting classes, all of you only thinking about battle classes are lame. With crafting they added a bonus for increase in quality, but if you're leveling off that synth you're usually lower level and not able to get the bonus for a nice exp padder. This will give an automatic boost to all crafting classes. My wvr is almost 50, but my lame ltw will get a boost.
Wow, I only made it to page 9 before I started to feel sick...
Honestly, "that other game" is yet another in a long list of MMOs where I could never make it through the boring repetitive grind to cap, rested exp didn't change that. It's gone before you blink. Not once did I ever feel like my bonus gave me the same exp that the people who kept playing after I logged off got. It certainly didn't stop a friend of mine who has absolutely no life (same age as me) from outleveling me.
People see "Bonus Exp while logged off" and immediately think "Omg, they get the same exp when they log off as what I'm getting when I keep playing!" and point to "That other game" as an example when "that other game" wasn't even like that...
On a final, off-topic note, since no one is giving that cactus any love, I might as well.
Except the point never stood. You just thought they stood because it was based on unverified evidence that you called "facts". Regardless, its being a gimmick doesn't automatically restrict it from being implemented. Lots of things could be considered a gimmick but still add to the flavor and enjoyment of the game and progression through it.
I'am guessing they are taking away all the extra exp and giving it to you after you log out for the day- But you must log out in your mog house to get them- so my guess is that if you do a leve for example your suppose to get extra 200 exp w/ guardian aspect----- instead of getting it now you get it after you log out- ONLY in your Mog wanabe house.
You sir, are a liar. You have posted multiple lies and intentional misrepresentations of fact. Just like your claim that "only 10% of any given MMOs active populations makes it to endgame".....Wow, just wow. Not only did you pull that crap out of your backside, any one who does a simple search of MMO polls can see that polled players with any particular MMO after a year has over 80% endgame base.
http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/new...hp?story=20235
read that.
First of all, that article backs up everything i said. "End Game" is a marketing strategy to give players something to strive toward. And the Reason he says 5% of the player base can Destroy 95% of the player base is because that 5% are the people who actively dedicate themselves to end game.
If you understood anything about marketing, you would know that "Polls" mean nothing because 90% the people they claim to represent do not care enough to respond to a poll. These are also a marketing strategy designed to feign interest and show dedication to the fan base in the hopes that people spread good word about the development of the game.
It's the same effect that is readily apparent in this forum. The people who post here are the vast minority. Less than 10% of the population. This vocal minority are the people who actively seek End Game.
The way you determine what percentage of the population is actively participating in end game is to check the percentage of account that enter an end game scenario such as an instanced raid when the content is released and then check again 3 months later. By doing so you gain a clear view of the portion of the population that Attempts End Game and the Portion of the population that actively participates.
You may see the number of participants spike to 25% When new content is released, but that number quickly dwindles because most players do not repeatedly play the same content.
All you have to do is do leves right after you log in game. If this is like other MMOs you log into the game and you've basically automatically got guardian aspect. The length o time you have it depends on how long you were logged out. So you log in a go grind/leve before it wears off.
It's unwise to reveal personal information on the internet. You never know who's reading...

Are you sure?
I'm sure it works like the exp scrolls for DoL and DoH, but without a max. timer.
The rested exp is like a pot with a certain amount of exp. Everytime you make exp (battle, crafting or gathering) it take some exp from the pot and add it to your exp until the pot is empty.
It's like a reversed surplus. You didn't gain surplus if you just stand around.
It's already rediculously easy to level up battle classes, so who really cares... That's not an accomplishment anymore, so let's just hope the new gear takes more than an hour to get.
