I just had a fun lore idea that might make Ivalician Moogles work.

Lets say that some of the moogles are playing with magic, and then this happens. Bam, suddenly they are playable. Now we have two moogle groups. :p

to be honest when they first revealed the Moon Moogles, i forget the name, my first thought was they were adding the ivalician moogles as a beast race. cause they look very similar.

I really don't think that another playable race after the fem hrothgar will be made, since they need to do all the animations and glamour for the new races.

But since they did it in their free time, and they could to try to add another small race after the hrothgar, as i stated up, i don't expect another new race for 7.0 and now even for 8.0, but let's hope for something in 9.0, maybe with a revamp in the char creations

I would love Ivalice moogles, or even Burmecians. We need a new playable small race. :3

I think they could announce it as a limited race and it would be really easy to implement. They could just have hates and weapons, and very little character customization. I'm not sure people would be happy with that though, even though it's accurate for how moogle's are portrayed.

I mean, i don't really care about hats or hair, i just use one hair since i started playing and since i changed to a potato 80% of the time i don't use hats. But yeah, sadly is a thing people will complain if they add it with a limitation like hrothgar.

I definitely like the idea. It feels like there needs to be something sitting between Lalafel and Miqo'te, in terms of silhouette. I'm still super disappointed in the Hrothgar (WAAAAAY too similar to Roegadyn's, should've been more lean like Kimahri), but ultimately a smaller race would feel the most unique.

Although I gotta say, those Loporitts are pretty freaking adorable. I'd 100% support them becoming playable, too.

I would fangirl so hard if I could be a FFT/FF12 Moogle. They're so cute! I could even try to replicant Mog from FFVI...a little.

I support this 100%. In fact, if it were a race purchase separate from the game, I'd still get it. lol

I'd support this. I would LOVE to be a Burmecian- My goodness. I loved the beast race in GW2 (Charr) They were perfect aside from the devs stopping to care about if the later armors fit them or not.

Yep. I would pay more money to have this as a thing.

I'm completely down for something like this despite how slim the chances are for it to happen. I'm not particularly keen on playing tiny races like gnomes, goblins, dwarves etc. but it just feels weird for the Lalafell to be the only cute and tiny playable race while we have multiple tall, big or lean options. Honestly, I hope the devs get this whole system regarding customization updated sometime in the future so they have less of a strain adding more races because these guys and Burmecians are definitely ones I'd like to see at some point if possible.

I'd switch immediately to this race
The only thing I'd want is oversized clothes & hats
idc about hair, I'd imagine they wouldn't need hair
would just have different eye types, nose, pom & mouth types
Maybe even marking differences/ colour/ spots/ stripes

Would love Burmecians but yeeh, unique face, hand and foot shape makes it highly unlikely.

With a "clan" it will have less work to do since they could reuse some of the animations, and with the same bone the clothes could remain the same (just struggling with the hats and hairs, but i really don't care about these two).

the unique thing that i will complain about the moogles being a clan, is that i wanted they being a little more slim and the face could have a little snout, but outside this, i will accept then as a clan with open arms.

People can be creepy with anything really. But I don't see how having Ivalician Moogles would cause all that. We already have burly beastmen as a playable race, and I haven't seen what you're afraid of happening.

It's a cool idea, and the only potential race that would make me consider switching from a Lalafell.

Man, it amazes me how every time a beast race or beast like race is the main topic of a discussion "furries" always seem to be anchored into the discussion. Like, is it just not possible to discuss this character archetype without "furries" being mentioned? Plus its pretty hypocritical to talk about the "creepy" or "weird" stuff people will make about them when that happens to, literally, every other race in the game (Yes, even the Lalas). Why is it always these races in which it seemingly needs to be brought up like its some unique or special case case? I also find it odd how you needed to describe that creepy stuff for us, why is that on your mind in the first place and why even bring it up?

I suspect if we ever get 'limited races' (imagine the hrothgar and viera hat crisis but like... actively deliberate, your race is actually just an extremely fancy hat and hands and slight alterations to your proportions without switching the core mesh/rig) that Moogles and Lupin would be two of the first, as alterations to Lala and Hyur respectively.

That is the only real way I could see Ivalace moogles come about, and I wouldn't be terribly unhappy with them (I am used to a lot of options essentially being 'you activate an item in your toys tab from the cash shop to play as this thing'), but I think a lot of people would be.

Honestly the whole reason why I chose lalafell was because you could pass, albeit poorly, as a moogle if you use the moogle head and full covering clothes.

Quite interesting the suggestion keeps popping up, meaning the support is here. Yet it's strange that there hasn't been anything said about it officially. Also worthy of note, it's almost always asking for the Ivalician Moogles to be playable.
