I'm starting to think Umbrella Narrow is a myth, I've been to Lightless Basin at least 7 times without unlocking it. Two more trips returning tomorrow, and my 2nd sub could hit rank 10 depending on bonus exp...

today my submarine reach level 15 and i like to change my components but it seems not possible to change all four componets right?

Shark pieces use 5 capacity each, Unkiu take 9 capacity each. At rank 15 you have 34 max capacity, so you can't fully upgrade until rank 17.

You can change them all later :)

Quick question to unlock Deep Sea Site 3, is it best to just sent the sub over and over to 1 until RNG graces me with unlocking it? xD

If you don't need to level the sub and don't need any of random materials from other stops then that would be the quickest way.

Yep. Was expecting a bit more off the bat, but getting minions for the fc at the rate we've been getting them (1 so far!) will probably take until the next expansion anyway. Yay rng! :D

yeah my rng is terrible when it comes to the rare items - i don't ever get cloudsbreath seeds or fine alumen from my airships and so far no aurelia polyps or colossus slabs yet from my subs :( RNGESUS!!!!! *shakes fist in the sky*

Hey I have a question.
I just unlocked the second sub but I havn´t gotten any Balsa Wood scraps to unluck the second submarine prototype.
Should i wait with building the second submarine until i´ve unlocked the prototype II or does it not matter. Do I need to build a prototype I first and then upgrade to prototype II or can i build a prototype II right from the start.

Your second sub will start at level one and need to be equipped with shark parts. The recipie lets you build Unkai parts in your workshop. The smart thing to do would be to buy some Balsa wood scraps from someone else, most medium or large FC’s will have lots extra. Unlock the recipe build a few Unkai parts and trade them out with the shark parts on your lv. 20 sub. Use those shark parts on the new sub. Depending on the build you want for your lv. 20 sub you might need to build more shark parts. Good luck!

does anyone know what rank your Submarine needs to be before you can equip the Unkui-class components? Mine is currently rank 12 and I still cannot equip it

The Rank listed on it is what rank your submersible will have to be to equip the part. In this case it would be 15 for the Unkiu parts.

OP, your original post has no mention of Unidentified Derelict unlocking the second submarine.

not sure if this has been requested or not - but I think it might be helpful to switch from identifying the sectors with letters to numbers. Once there are ten more sectors on the map it might start to look a bit confusing

So I have done at least 6 runs now to deep sea site 3 and the umbrella narrow, and still no unlocks.. I've been rank 20 for a while and can't seem to progress.. I've tried different combinations of shark / Unkiu.. Max Surv, Max Favor.. balanced.. Doesn't seem to make a difference... Is the RNG really that bad? Anyone else having trouble getting things unlocked? I've unlocked everything on airship voyages, never seemed to have trouble before this.

The rng can be a cruel mistress. It took us a few tries to unlock the unidentified derelict, just keep at it. We did swap the first two parts with the higher tier parts, but some people have unlocked it while just casually leveling up the sub using shark parts. Might as well load up the higher tier parts though so you can try for minions and such at the same time.

Anyone unlocked sub #3 yet?

Only up to Rank 20 missions, Rank 15 Gear & 2 Subs are available at the moment.

Its all rng, but I found sending it to one sector at a time helped, at the very least you get more hits per time that way.

RNG is that bad. I got the unlocks from there 1st and 4th try respectively.
Could be worse tho! For an alt, still trying to get Sector 7 with our airship.... 8 tries later... and work on getting Sector 11 with our finally obtained Sector 6. The RNG is real...

This is my latest report. I actually have been following this thread since it started. Yet I failed to add anything to it so I thought I would at least try to add something.
I have been keeping pics of my reports for at least the last ten voyages on my submersible. This would be the items it brought back this time. I hope it helps with the compiling of data that is being done. I still have yet to get the minion. Though I keep hoping. My FC sub is rank 20 everything is unlocked at this point including the second sub. Not many in my FC are interested in these things but I find them enjoyable.

I got one submarine, did you know how I can do to get the second one, cuz I got the parts but no idea how to ensamble the second one
