Does anyone have a pic of the fashion report for this week from a Japanese server?

I wouldn’t think shaded spectacles would represent the theme, then again, the Moogle slippers didn’t really either... now I’m just thinking about the polarized lenses I put up for sale a while back.

Maybe one of the jackcoats or something similar for the body piece?

The Go west one in Japanese literally puts "The New World" LOL So it's probably the new world bottoms!

Has anyone done flannel knit cap = undyed?

Man, the 'western' theme that this week seems to have plus the minion clue on the earrings makes me really think of the cactuar earrings. I know they removed the vendor who used to sell them, so if that's true then I really hope there is another way to get them that I'm just missing.

There's the behemoth earrings from the "We fought a Dzu" fate in Cor. Western highlands.
edit: Serves me right for skipping to the last page, looks like those've been mentioned a dozen times already. They seem to fit the western/minion bits though. :)

The cactuar earrings (along with a few others) seem to become available yearly. Something about fanfest or something?

The Behemoth ones sound just as plausible, though.

Im using a green beret, sky pirate jacket, windsilk pants, ramie ribbon and hatchling earring with everything dyed appropriately. I can make the new world pants but im not wasting gil or scrips on the macrame. After all this housing business my finances are drained. Id do the crafting bottoms but i already made my set for caster and....meh. I'll post my findings on judging night.

I'm intending to try both a Gaganaskin outfit and an Expeditioner outfit once it's up, with Behemoth Earrings and Redbill Scarf.
You can just buy the Gaganaskin from a vendor in Foundation. The armor vendor near the market board.

So let's the report begins:
Pants: Quite obviously, New World Hose is gold medal (And I want to point that you can buy the New World Macrame for 500 yellow scrips)
Neckles: This time the moggle EX neckless make a deal with gold medal. However, the peach neckless from old ladies day is crap.
Body: Didn't get gold but 4 stars with Expeditioner's Tabard, tried the brown rare dye, didn't change anything
Earing: I didn't keep any of the minion earings, so tried with Bahamut earings, it's crap.

Alright I did a test on my main catboy and the results are:

Flat Cap (dyed Wine Red) - Gold
Linen Survival Shirt (undyeable) - Gold
New World Hose (no dye) - Gold
Behemoth Minion Earrings - Gold
Moogle Accessory (from Moogle Extreme) - Gold

I don't recall why they had the cactuar earrings for sale before, but I recall them doing the hatchling earrings to celebrate reaching a twitter follower milestone. Found the combination from a Japanese site and tried it but the cap is supposed to be correct just need rolanberry red/wine red for gold coin.
Head: Flat Cap (Rolanberry red/Wine red)
Body: Survival Shirt (Pure White/ Deepwood Green*From Japanese site*)
Legs: New World Hose (non dyed works)
Ear: Behemoth Earring
Neck: Ribbon of ___ (from mog ex, any will work)

Do we know of any rings or bracelets that have monster names? Maybe that could give us a higher score?

Maybe any primal accessory? or levi weapons idk.

I was equipping other accessories but forgot they were glamored Emperor's stuffs so they show up empty ><
Also tried red beret for the head and it only get 1*

I used Coral Pink dye for the hat and shirt but I don't know if that influenced things.

Head: Flannel Knit Cap (Coral Pink)
Body: Survival Shirt (Coral Pink)
Legs: New World Hose (Millioncorn Yellow)
Ear: Behemoth Earring
Neck: Ribbon of Aiming

Tried a Green Beret undyed and got 2 stars, goobbue earring for 4 stars, paramour pendant for 3 stars, and rainbow ribbon of slaying for 4 stars. Gaganaskin set for archers, redbill scarf, wind silk bottoms, makai bottoms, and survival halfslops were all a bust. I'm really not sure about any alternative pants for this one.

For head, the Flannel Knit Cap dyed Rolanberry Red is also Gold (didn't try it undyed). The Wool Knit Cap (cannot be dyed) is only 3 stars. The Flat Cap is definitely the way to go if you need to buy, much cheaper to craft.

Not having done much in the way of instances, I tried the Rainbow Ribbon of Aiming and the Ramie Ribbon of Aiming. Both were 4 stars. Still need to work on earrings.

You get gold but you still lose points if you don't dye

If you're like me and you know you're not going to shell out for the actual items, or do the work to get them, you try to experiment to find alternatives. In my case:

Head: Green Beret (dye: cream yellow) was 1 star
Body: Sky Pirate Coat of Casting (dye: cream yellow) was 2 stars
Legs: Windsilk Bottoms (dye: cream yellow) was a surprising 3 stars (however it was 1 star in any other color--including soot black)
Earring: Hatchling Earring (only minion one I had) 4 stars
Neck: Rainbow Ribbon of Casting - 4 stars (the platinum scarves might score higher. They are green gear in better colors--perhaps someone can take one for the team and test one of them?)

The low score on the coat was disappointing because to me, Sky Pirate is the epitome of Adventure but meh. Also, don't use the Adventurer Jacket. It's 1 star. So was the Trailblazer top (even dyed). Everyone is using red for the shirt but when I dyed my Expeditioner's Tabard red, it didn't change the rating (I dyed it yellow to match the scheme of my outfit). He obviously wanted the Survival Shirt (even the Linen was gold), and I ran out of tries before I could test the Extreme version. Dalamud Red on the hat will improve your rating and apparently the Cream Yellow dye on my pants raised them from a 1 star to a 3 star--so that's a color he's looking for if you can't get the New World Hose. I'm curious if anyone found a 4-star alternative to those bottoms.

In any case, my highest score was a 76 (because I dyed my pants red to match and that bumped them down to 1 star :/) however, reddit mentioned that using favorable dyes on the other parts of your outfit (even if they're not the ones highlighted) can help your overall score. The trick is figuring them out I suppose. Oh well... Here's to next week!

Edit: Has anyone tried the western ranged stuff from a while back, or the lvl 62 gatherer gear? *goes back thru posts*

Maybe it's just me but keeping all info contained in one thread moving forward seems chaotic, newcomers won't know where to start reading.

I think I get this now. You have Emperor's New stuff in some of your extra slots. So do I. I think he's telling us to put on actual gear instead of those placeholders. I'm going to see if that improves my score next week. Going to coordinate the fk out of it. XD

I've seen that 'accent' line pop up even in gearsets that use otherwise normal gear in the non-hinted slots that isn't glamoured invisible. It might just be a generic piece of advice he gives.

That said, items in those slots do count for something of course, there's a difference between glamoured invisible and unequipped. You get the basic amount of points for wearing gear in those slots even if they're invisible, if you take them off completely they contribute zero credit which will drop your score down to 40+ even if you have 5 golds in the hinted slots.

I think the accents line is talking about dyes, but without an actual hint that line is ueless, there are too many dyes and only 4 tries.

• weapon and undyed tights: 1 star, 9 points total
• weapon and tights dyed desert yellow: 2 stars, 11 points total
• weapon and tights dyed cream yellow: 3 stars, 12 points total
• weapon and tights dyed halatali yellow: 2 stars, 11 points total

Also, I suspect +stars and +points may be nonlinear, so eg. you might see different results if you find pants that start more than 1 star.

Ramie Ribbon gives 4 stars if you can't get your hands on a moogle necklace.

The one small up side is that you can put the ilvl 1 items into the Glamour Toilet and just keep reusing them; it's the only thing I've found it useful for. You'll get to a point where you don't need to invest any gil.

Edit: Side note... I wonder if one of the versions of the Platinum Scarf would work instead of a Mog ribbon.

So I'm not a high leveled crafter but I got this and got 80pts. So here was my list:

PS, I did try the Ramie Ribbon of Aiming and it gave me 4stars. But I needed this one with the other pieces to hit 80.
