Hmm if that was the case with Heavensward, then it would stand to reason that it would be the same for Stormblood.

@ RaijinSupreme, i believe you are correct however for Heavansward i recall getting a theme like right away so there was no counter.

yeah the theme was handled differently last time. we got it instantly. Im not sure why they waited this time. Maybe it wasn't ready by the time they put up the pre-orders, so they put it on a timer instead.

Looks like they fixed it. Now, it just shows it's unavailable for both the standard and digital CE edition because you already pre-ordered it.

Well at least its something. Might make people feel a little better and stop people from accidentally repurchasing.

so just to let everyone know, I just spoke with a sony rep and they pretty much blamed SE for all the problems going on right now. I was able to get the avatar but the theme is locked an prompts me to the psn to buy ARR. Even though they told me i have it registered something still fells off about the whole deal, hope all you have better luck then me.

So far, both my wife an I who purchased the digital SE for StormBlood have been able to make use of the avatar (ugly as home made sin) and the dynamic theme - which is wonderful and perfectly formed... All that is left now is to get the actual content downloaded. I suspect that a lot of the confusion may be caused by people getting CS reps to do stuff that muddies the waters.

The suggestion from Sony that it's all SE's fault doesn't really stand up to me because as far as I am aware, no licenses will be applied to SE accounts until we can actually launch the updated launcher.

I also contacted PlayStation and they said to contact SE about it and i don't think that its SE's fault, but i hope it gets resolved soon so i can play on Friday. >.<

everyone who bought Stormblood will be able to play friday, stop being impattient and wait. Jesus fucking Christ.

So have other people been able to get the theme already then? There were people uploading pictures of it on reddit, but mine is seemingly locked for another day >.>

Got the theme last night. Store page for CE now says that I cannot purchase it, because I own it. Everything looks in order. Hopefully it'll all roll out without a hitch for everyone.

Yeah the store page for both CE and standard edition says I cannot purchase, but they say its because I own the standard edition even though I bought CE. Will just have to wait and see tomorrow. It's annoying that I can't download the theme yet though >.>

You can't download anything yet because there is nothing to download. Patch 4.0 is stormblood . SE has to add it in to the base game . What we have are keys to unlock that content. PSN won't download anything other than the skin/box art icon in games list. The real download comes from opening the game client and doing so when prompted to.

I'm talking specifically about the PS4 theme that lots of other people have said they have already downloaded (and people on reddit have been posting pictures of). I know I can't get anything else yet.

I got the theme downloaded and installed, running. But the SB still shows as available to purchase for me, if that helps anyone.
Just wait it out before freaking out, I am sure everything will be fine.

Welll I can't purchase SB now so hopefully that's a good sign, really hope this works T.T

Same here, once again saying I own it so can't purchase the Stormblood CE, like it did originally. Guessing whatever glitch Sony had on PSN is fixed. I'll see y'all in Ala Mihgo/Doma!

Heads up started up ffxiv just now and it let me register my pre-order codes from psn immediately and mog station updated to show a circle in ps4 pre-order.

So is the pre download a lie (For PS4) ? :/ Going to be a pain to wait to play because I need to download...

So as stated before, it is working...but here is where I worry. This is early access alone. If the game itself has problems being released on the store on the 20th, we won't be able to continue until we do. This is a repeat of my last time with the disc but in this case it is all digital. But you need to download the actual stormblood game via the playstation store to get the "rights" to play stormblood on launch day. Because the only thing we got from this is the Pre-order bonus and early access rights. So Sony please don't screw up launch day.

mine has a circle under ps4 for stormblood early access.

You can open ff14 now n do the licencing thing should show after that

When you open the game and login, it prompts you to add Stormblood then just goes back to saying maintenance with the play button greyed out. Or at least it did for me earlier

Wait what!! PSN gave out preorder codes...I thought the game links through the license in the services list. Can someone confirm..preordered 3 months ago and never received any codes.

if you preordered on psn you just need to log in the game and confirm your preorder/EA. there are no codes on digital preorders

Phew..that post got me nervous for a sec lol...it always seems like there is so much ambiguity surrounding these expacs..same thing happened in HW..Sony does not appear to be the most forthcoming information wise when it comes to FF14

No codes needed for digital :)
Also checked the Stormblood add on and now it gives the option "Tell Me More", clicked on it and said i had purchased already.

you anyone on psn can log in the game right now and register their storm blood and EA status

Im assuming that all we're doing is buying the licence off of the psn store, once you log in and confirm your service account all you need to do is download the updates tomorrow (or later today) ready for early access. Ive just logged in and sorted the licence and am hoping its sorted ready for tomorrow (fingers crossed the download is ok)
