Hello,
Type of Issue/Feedback: Ping goes up after server move, from 160 to 260
Name of your Internet Service Provider (ISP): Net Virtua
State/Country: Rio de Janeiro / Brasil
Date/Time: Entire time
World Name: Behemoth
Frequency: Entire time
Hi!
I do not know what my ping was before the move, but I do know it is now between 170-190.
Type of Issue/Feedback: I seem to be having skill related issues. I use a skill and its not going being used properly (I press it and the skill goes to CD but I did not see any animation or any damage) or it is not registering that the skill has been used and have to press multiple times. Maybe its lag spikes?
Name of your Internet Service Provider (ISP): BT - Fiber optic. (British Telecom)
State/Country: UK
Date/Time: (When did the issue start happening, at what specific times does this issue arise, if any.) Date issue started: 17/05 (server move) time: 7pm BST onwards (british summer time) - it happens any time of day now, but this is when it started.
World Name: Malboro
Frequency: All the time now.
Type of Issue/Feedback: Ping went up from 160-180 to 220ms, skills are not going off as before, some require several hits to work. Upon healing there was instance where I see animation fly off, my skill is on CD, I see the animation of the HP cured but not my HP being cured and I died as result. Swiftcast requires 3 or so ticks before it can be combined with a spell otherwise I hardcast even if i have swift cast on.

State/Country: Illinois/NA
World: Balmung
Frequency: All the time, more noticeable in evenings. Makes healing unplayable :( Just to double check have no problems running World of Warcraft, FFXI, and Guild Wars 2.

Type of Issue/Feedback: Unstable connectivity to FF servers. Lag spikes causing missed skills, teleporting players, and occasionally full game freeze which then catches up a few seconds later. See frequency below, but I've been running a ping to the server 204.2.229.100 and will normally see packet loss when I'm having issues, but starting last night it looked fine in pings but I still had issues once I was in a feast game with the above lag related problems. Very frustrating. In testing I see no problems on the comcast side, only once I get into the NTT network either in ashburn or further west. I should also note during these times my ping will go up from the normal 90ms to 120ms and varies around there.

This tracert is from 11 pm EDT, the laggy hops are from hop 8 onward with packet loss/timeouts and all of them are within the NTT backbone. But even during the day, it is more laggy than it likely should be. When WTFast keeps the ping at a steady 80-85ms, the game is extremely playable (as if we never left the montreal data center). Without it, the game is fairly laggy and bard is very difficult to play properly. (I really would like to not have to pay an additional $10 a month to keep playing the game the way I always have).

They issue doesn't resides on our ISP because as far as i can see, most people have a constant good ping. The issue is the horrible spikes of 250ms up tu 900ms that have been happening since yesterday. Wet to new datacenter and ISP providers and make them resolver ir, you already should know the issue is on tour side lets not play dump. Taking in to account the sudden change yesterday, is more likely that the ff14 ISP provider is having issues on their fiber.

Hello, I have been having weaponskill clipping, 90002 errors, etc. here is the format:
Type of Issue/Feedback: 9002 error. Weaponskill clipping, constant "Disconnecting"/"Red circle next to name" all other players/monsters will stop moving as i continue to press weaponskill actions but do not proc steps in combos, or enemies not receiving debuffs that I apply, such as Disembowel, Wildfire, etc.

I'm no expert, but to me, high ping, and packet loss right when it enters the area of the servers, is an indication the new server location has a very poor internet infrastructure? Meaning the Square-Enix location itself has a poor connection, or the surrounding area. Again i could be wrong.
I mean, i have below 25 ping with no packet loss until i enter the California area, and then i nearly triple in ping, and gain packet loss.
I thought it was my connection/my isp, but after running tracert, I feel its the servers/location itself.

Type of Issue/Feedback: Higher latency since server relocation, freezing and lagging in dungeons. Edit: Lag spikes are ridiculously high sometimes, doing several trials that normally go without a problem turn into a bit of a guessing game of 'did i really move out of that or not' when then whole screen freezes and it takes some seconds for the fight to resume only to freeze again. As a Ninja main, it has been near impossible to play my class properly with this ping, Monk not being any easier. Clipping and losing cooldowns happens too often for comfort.

Trace-route : After, without a vpn (what i get from my ISP)
trace to a pingzapper server on california
Even with a vpn enabled (pinzapper and mudfish) i still get massive lag spikes to the server. The game is completely unplayable without any tunneling service. I cant even dodge aoes or dps when it starts to lag. Theres no reason for my packets to be redirected to Europe before going towards the game server. Its only to the game servers, other servers from California that i tried doesn't have this issue. I really wish you guys moved the servers to a more centralized location to make everyone happy instead of the west coast.
Type of Issue/Feedback: ping went from a 37-40ms to 91-100ms, intermittent packet loss remains. as many others have stated about classes such as mch and drg, I cant play optimally anymore, and its quite a bummer.

did a follow up tracert after seeing the most recent poster claiming an increase in her already huge latency increase, to my dismay the same has applied to me.

Thank you for looking into this.
Type of Issue/Feedback: Increased ping times causing very noticeable drop in performance and frustrating interactions with skill usage on a consistent level, especially on my preferred class, Ninja (Mudras extremely slow and clunky causing many issues that did not exist in the past).
Unhappy that in order to play this game without an extremely noticeable and frustrating experience on my "local" server I am required to pay additional subscription fees for VPNs. The only feedback I have is that perhaps you should consider not having a North American server not located in a place that is extremely bad for a large portion of the market, as has been the case now and previously. Especially when there has been talk of increasing the presence of PvP, which is extremely impacted by ping differences, unlike the rest of the game which is supposedly designed to be played at 200ms, despite half of the classes becoming extremely frustrating to play at anything over 90ms.
Name of your Internet Service Provider (ISP): Rogers
State/Country: Ontario, Canada
Date/Time: Started on server move due to ping increase
World Name: Cactuar
Frequency: Always
Traceroute records: not needed
Type of Issue/Feedback: Latency/Lag after server relocation. Ping increased from 120 ms to 230-240ms, resulting in difficulty executing oGCDs without clipping into GCD, difficulty hitting moving targets, difficulty dodging AoEs, constant "Disconnecting"/"Red circle next to name", overall loss in quality of experience. This presents significant difficulty for progression raiding, optimal rotation execution, and so on.
Name of your Internet Service Provider (ISP): Oi (Telemar Velox)
State/Country: Brazil, Rio de Janeiro
Date/Time: After the Data Center relocation
World Name: Behemoth

Traceroute records:https://pastebin.com/6wCG2TFH
Type of Issue/Feedback: Ping is up from solid and stable 35ms to ~100-110ms base average. Using Fuma Shuriken as Ninja clips into my GCD now. This is with just Huton; 0 additional skill speed, no outside skill speed increases (Fey Wind, etc.), and a VPN. Also present is getting hit by telegraphed attacks that I moved out of up to 1.5 seconds earlier, the extreme clipping of double weaving oGCD's, the occasional getting GCD's cancelled by oGCD's/oGCD's cancelled by GCD's, the inconsistent latency, and frequent lag spikes on top of the inconsistency.
Name of your Internet Service Provider (ISP): Comcast (Business, not Residential)
State/Country: Maryland, US
Date/Time: Constant since server relocation.
World Name: Balmung
Frequency: Constant since server relocation.
Please consider either making the NA datacenters centralized (Chicago/Texas), or making one datacenter West coast and one datacenter East coast. As a hardcore raider that has been with the game since 2.0 early access, I don't want to dwell on the possibility that this significant downgrade in my connection, and the connections of my friends and peers, might be permanent for the rest of the game's lifetime.

Calculated Ping to Sacramento = 47ms
Current Ping 70-110ms
Type of Issue/Feedback: Ping increased, but sees frequent spikes of 20-30ms or more during heavy playtime. When normalized, the ping isnt an issue, but the spikes are very noticable and affect whether or not oGCDs go off and frequently cause clipping of the GCD.
