Free DLC Giveaway Event (Amazon)

Heads up to anyone buying a time card:

I just found out you can't redeem a time card if you're on an Entry Subscription (standard, month to month $12.99). You have to upgrade to a Standard subscription, and in order to get the same rate of $12.99 per month you will need to get the 180 Day subscription.

After upgrading to the 180 subscription and entering my time card, I was able to switch back to an Entry Account, but I'm honestly not sure at this point how much I'll be charged by SE.

I definitely would have paid for those 180 days eventually anyway, but it's still an annoying headache that you're better off avoiding if there's some other video game item you want from Amazon.

I bought one of the lego games cause the RE game I was going to get wasn't sold by amazon. So was only $20 and then I had some money left on a gift card that been holding onto for something like this so after tax only cost like $15. Got the DLC codes within couple minutes, so think was pretty good deal cause when they do get around to adding to mog station pretty sure the mount will be $20 or more by itself.

Got a 60 time card yesterday and applied it already.
I know it said 48 hours from purchase for the code but with the massive amount of people on here not getting their code decided to contact amazon support anyway. I was told that amazon was waiting on the code from SE to send to me and that I would get it in the allotted time frame.

Explained and sent a screen shot of all the people on here getting their code form a support member and she simply said she couldn't do that because she didn't have any codes.

is stormblood part of the giveaway or not? im not seeing any indication either way on amazon... maybe im missing something... i dont want to buy timecards or or other games or whatever but i want to get the DLC items.... any clarification or confirmation on this would be appreciated

If you do need to contact Amazon due to the codes not being e-mailed, I recommend the chat, and don't close the chat until you try the codes. I was given two that didn't work, and they're having another department review it.

Look for this on the page before buying under "Special offers and product promotions" (specifically that wording, the 'bonus offer' listed at the top is something else):

Is there any restriction to what amazon account/email to use?
Does it have to be the same email account as you have registered to SE?
I'm not an amazon person, so it would be nice to know if I can use a friends account or not without worrying about whether or not it qualifies.

The email/amazon account don't matter. It's just where the codes get sent to. Just be aware each amazon account can only receive the codes once, so if your friend already took part in the promotion, their account is no longer valid for additional codes. The code amazon sends you will have to be plugged into www.ffxivredeem.com. You will then be sent a set of 3 codes to the email address you input to that site which will need to be applied to your account via the mogstation.

Someone said they bought a mouse but I just chatted w/ Amazon rep and was told only video games/game time cards count. Is this true because I really could use a new mouse/keyboard :/.

Looked up Logitech mouses and I can see that some of them have the promotion under "Special offers and product promotions". However, some mouses above $19.99 do not, so be mindful of that.

i have a question. havent back read all 16 pages though. but will the free dlc be eligible if i buy a $20psn gift card? it is sold for 19.99. also will i be eligible if i use amazon gift card to purchase? thank you!

Try here. It's just a matter of the mouse being put into the category that counts for the promotion most likely which is why some count and some don't even with the appropriate pricetag. Although if you're getting yourself accessories you're going to be using often, look over reviews and such and don't shoehorn yourself into just promo items. A lot of the gaming category stuff is coated in rubber that turns sticky after awhile.

No filter. I just clicked on a few products and then scrolled down to see if they have the promotion.

Still waiting on a code here, makes me nervous since the promotion ends in two days and it's the weekend.

OKAY WHEW, bought my keyboard. Also if anyone else wants to buy some type of accessory, I'd filter stuff out by checking off the Amazon.com as the seller... I snooped about and many of the accessories have the promotion.

One word of caution - you CANNOT put the eastern outfit into the armoire chest in the inn, and it uses up a slot of inventory for all body slots...

Further. I cannot find any vendor anywhere that will sell a replacement should I delete it...

so unless you really intend to make it your glamour, leave that thing in the mail...

Thankfully I opened it on an unused alt first and tested this, before grabbing it on my regular characters...

On the redemption site it says: The Amazon promotional codes will no longer be redeemable after December 31, 2017

As long as that pertains to the code Amazon sends out, you should be fine.

So who is actually responsible for sending the codes? I got the code from Amazon to enter in the ffxivredeem.com page, which was accepted. Where will the codes for the mogstation come from?

Amazon will send you the code for the redemption site (which I believe square runs). That site will in turn send 3 codes to the email address you gave it that can be plugged into the mogstation.
