I like it in purple. And I finally have something to go with the Infantry Skirt.

Was going to post this back when people were talking about it looking like a school outfit, hope no one minds if I still do.

*derplander goes to school.*
Teacher: "Ok, Mr.Derplander, can you answer the question. You have 10 apples, a merchant buys 6 off you, how many apples do you still have?"
Derplander: "None, I throw the rest away after the quest was done cause I didn't need them anymore."
Teacher: "Mr.Derplander, that's..no, just please, answer the questions like a normal person."
Derplander: "Hey, most days I just smile and nod, or squint my eyes, grit my teeth, and glare at you silently. You should be grateful I graced you with a rare spoken response for once."
Teacher: *Pinches brow*
Random player: Pinch brow..I want a /pinchbrow emote! *runs to forums and makes a request thread for it.*
*10 pages later the tread is talking about the concept of flight...somehow.*

And that's why we didn't go to school!
Still not a fan of it myself because of the obvious school uniform theme, but glad to see that others like it and it was pretty hard watching the cutscene to be grumpy about it considering how excited Tataru was. Even if I won't wear it personally, glad to see others are enjoying it. Still think it doesn't look so hot on non-Miqo/Au Ra races though (no offense intended to any of the screenshots posted here). It's too...juvenile, I guess is the word IMO. And miniskirt+high-tops is not a good look for anyone in general, lol. There is a reason pretty much all of these screenies posted have glamoured over the shoes...
I still dislike the outfit and feel it makes my character look like she's pretending to be in highschool even though she's too old for it.
However Tataru was so cute when giving it that I have to admit in universe Eva would have said she liked it just to make her happy.
Ugly outfit aside, why must I have this clogging up my already-precious inventory space? Come on, SE, you could have made this go in the armoire.
the Body makes a good Fancy Black suit when you dye it Jet-Black

No no no. :( This will look awkward on my older elezen. Like that guy from AC/DC...
I think my Elezen looks good in it. Kind of reminds me of Briardien's outfit a bit.

The jacket looks great on guys but I'm really disappointed they just copy pasted it onto girls just with a different tie. So the outfit is a stiff jacket (almost like a bikers' jacket...) and a monocle mixed with weird shoes and a miniskirt. It's a strange combo but I guess some people will find use for individual pieces. I have a feeling that elaborate sets like the Songbird will probably remain more popular after this stops being new and shiny.
We Persona now!
Here's mine :)

I think I really like it.
I really like the tie.
I actually really like it. Dyed it a nice dark blue (Woad for Chest, Shadow for Skirt, and Ceruleum for Shoes, to be specific) and am currently using it as a glamour for my NIN. Planning to go into Stormblood wearing it. Been saying for a while that I wish Tataru would make a nice outfit for us like she did the twins and Y'shtola, and now she did! And I love it!
Don't much care for the monocle though personally. Just stuck with Elegant Rimless Glasses personally.
I like it and dislike it at the same time.
Of course it looks good on my cat, and I'm glad to see a new skirt that can be dyed. I don't like it because it's so animu. In fact it's kind of disappointing given Taru's history of personal gear to the other Scions. Y'shtola looking absolutely fabulous with that color coordination and sleek pleating on top of being original. Not Persona 6 protagonist protoype.
Well Tataru wanted to give the WoL a one of a kind design anyways. Besides new clothing designs always appear not to fit into the world when it is first invented anyways. Every outfit design we see in the game at some point in FF14 world time people said "that design does not suit them" and brushed off until someone puts it on then begins to attract interests of other people for that design. Heck a Crafter Job storyline actually goes into this type of topic as well and even covers the issue of people not accepting the "design" is due to how they don't see it fitting into their Culture due to how their outfit and armor design have been that way for generations despite times and environment changes require a new style of oufit.
I actually expect to see more of this style of clothing once we progress more into Garlemald consider the general theme of the Garlean Empire.
The garleans make great lengths to preserve the other cultures outside of Garlemald as we see they adopted the clothing of the cultures to allow their units to fit in as we see in Orthand with the garlean Samurai units. However, we have yet to see the style of clothing Garlemald normal citizen wear since they don't expose that to outside cultures.
I love it dyed mine Light blue so i'm very happy this is gonna be my main glamour from now on until a Jacket with a Hood comes along.
I Love the boots and the sockings, but I dont like the skirt nor the top. The skirt is too long for a short skirt and looks really weird unless you combine it with a top that covers part of its upper side, and it's hard to find a decent top to go with it. :(
I personally think the "animu" design was the best route SE could have taken with this. Considering they needed to make a unique outfit that could look good on anyone or anything regardless of gender; that is no easy task. A dye-able school uniform is quite possibly the best decision they could have made for this as I can't think of much else outside of the realm of tin-can armors that would look equally as good on everyone. Additionally, the outfit is neither far to masculine nor feminine in either direction, thus making it a great choice for anyone to wear regardless of their preference.
I love it, it looks great on male Mi'qote, only part that I disliked about the outfit, is the monocle, it looks weird and does not mesh well with the outfit.
I like the entire outfit. The monocle I'm not understanding, but I do like it on my Elezen. No complaints here.
I dyed the jacket and pants metallic gold to go with my Thug's Mug on my Au Ra. Instant Golden Gimp (with a tie). It had the desired effect of making my FC mates exclaim. "OHMYGODWHY!!! CHANGE BACK THIS INSTANT". The shoes and monocle are garbage and won't even make it on the joke glamour. When I get tired of the reactions in a few days, the whole kit will get discarded, since it can't go in the armoire.
I am even more convinced that Tataru is in league with the enemy. Although, to be fair, I feel that way about all Lalafail. The only Tataru-made outfit I like is Y'shtola's, and I still keep trying to get her to remove it anyway.
