Not the one I wanted, and in a subdivision, but I did. I think that when I actually decorate it I'll like more, but now I'm feeling really bittersweet about that.

You haven’t known true panic until you race a pack of Lalas through the Mist to get that one mansion on the cliff that overlooks the beach area. Just sayin’ XD Speaking of that mansion though, yes, I got it and the Lala FC managed to get the same plot in a different ward, so win win for us.

Was able to grab a Small Personal and Small FC in the Lavender Beds. It wasn't our main choices, but they were still quaint little plots.

My first time owning housing here. I do agree, considering how populous we are on Balmung they should have considered adding additional wards for our server. Seems like the logical step.

There were some underhanded tactics going on as well. People working in teams while one wouldn't initiate a trade with someone blocking them from buying the plot while their partner swooped up and purchased it right from under them.

While I do agree the more wards would be necessary that wouldn't solve the problem. SE could add 5 aditional wards to Balmung and Gilgamesh and it would still be not enough. Because the servers are completly overpacked. Unless housing is something guaranteed to every single player there's always going to be a huge parcel of people that will be frustrated because the game favors whoever has the best PC paired with the best connection.

I only got my house because the night before I logged out I put all my settings to low and made the game show up to 10 people at max. And even so it was a matter of seconds between the moment I got my plot and five people sprinting towards it to click the placard like crazy. So in the end it doesn't matter how many wards SE adds if the number of people wanting a plot isn't the same as plots avaliable.

I'm really sad about everyone that couldn't get a house, and all those homeless FCs out there. I hope SE fixes that problem.
Even if Balmung and Gilga are overpopulated, or Leviathan, Cerberus and Odin are high population servers, no one should be punished because of that. If SE adopted a system like Guild Wars 2 allowing players to visit other servers as guests but remaining on the chosen one as "main server" (mostly for PvP aspects), the housing system, parfy finder, progression and community interaction would be leagues better than what it currently is.

But at this point a guy can only dream. I wish all of you good luck when Ishgard housing becomes avaliable, because if it follows the ward system we're going to see this thread all over again with more frustration than joy.

I managed to get a small plot even when not on the starting blocks for the race

It was 3 minutes after the hour when I tried logging in.
I managed to get in on my second try after a 420ish queue and did a return to Gridania.
A random pick of the wards and i choose a small plot which was not prime location , and jumped to the closest aetherite.
Sprinted straight towards it on my lonesome and bought it.

I never though I had a chance......

I'm on Phoenix and when I was on last night there was still about 4 med plots in the goblet, but I really want to be in Gridania :'( (and I don't have enough for a medium plot yet...) will have to wait again & hope.

When I saw how few people were buying houses in the gobblet, I decided to get a nice little house for myself. I walked out side and saw this. It was worth every single gil!

My FC owns a house there but the Goblet feels like the slums compared to the vibrant look of the other 2.

Maybe but the beds (i think that's the english name) is just....well a forest and the myst...ok i give you the myst is cool but it's just so....i don't know i find to be not that original compare ti the goblet that looks like a little oasis in the middle of the desert.

Managed to get a small personal house, as well as a medium one for the FC - both in the Beds, plots 26 and 30. My girlfriend and I actually wanted to get the 29th plot but someone else beat me to it by like 5-10 seconds, I could see the little leaf running right ahead of me lol. I probably would have managed to get it w/o the Lobby error, but we're still really happy with what we've got; especially considering that pretty much all plots were gone within the first 10 minutes.

I feel really bad for all of you on highly populated servers who didn't get their house, even more so with all the scum trying to make a virtual fortune out of it.

So excited for you, missed out due to getting booted at login. Very disappointed and may actually let sub expire next month.

Managed to get a medium house for our small FC. However, had we not then there would be a large possibility of us letting our subs run out. It's really annoying that SE have said NOTHING official about whether or not you can resell houses, as I'm currently looking at one small plot for sale for 15 million. SE have really left a sour taste in my mouth in how they've handled this. Either this is fine, or it's not.

Okay. Except I raised 2 FC's with 1 friend and it took less than a week to get to rank 6. We both have full time jobs and he only helped with getting mats from a timed node. Get a friend if it's that difficult for you alone.

I did get my dream home! Famfrit server.

I actually bought a house last week in LB, so I was only online to help my FC try to secure the Mist mansion on the cliff, next to the beach (I was just running guard, my FC mate was the buyer).

I had issues logging in, but my FC-mate managed to snag a cliff mansion on her second try.

I was snooping the LB wards via the aetheryte and lamenting that houses were actually going pretty slowly, and I probably could have bought the one I really wanted but I was short money due to buying a plot last week.

So my FC-mate took 2mil out of the chest and said "go buy it." But more people were buying up plots in LB! I had another mate run guard while I hastly packed up and destroyed possessions, kicked out my tenants and demolished my house. Someone bought the plot my mate was guarding, so he ran to the same one in the next ward that was still free.

I ran over and got it! It was the last one of its kind! I have a pretty plot in LB, with a gorgeous lake as my backyard. I've wanted this plot for forever and I could not be happier and more fulfilled!

Just as an FYI, but there are still many homes on Famfrit. The main divisions in LB and mist are getting pretty full, but the subdivisions are still empty. I'm in a subdivision and I have 3 plots across the walk from me... only one neighbour so far.

Wards 9, 10 and 11 in the Goblet (subdivisions) are COMPLETELY EMPTY. Ward 12 subdivision has maybe 2-3 people.

Yes! Fiancé and I both got houses in Lavender Beds! We aren't neighbors, but he can jump down into my yard. We weren't picky, we took whatever we could get... Excalibur was pretty crazy, everything was gone really fast. Mad d/c'd right after he logged in, we were worried he wouldn't be able to get a house, but with some creative use of the wedding ring, we were able to both get our houses!

It was a hell of a race, but I got it (just before some other guy tried to buy it first)

I agree. My FC has a house, near the Brimming Heart, by the waterfall. I really couldn't ask for a better location (probably why I picked it). If everyone else wants to flock like moths, to the other two areas, I say let them. Less competition for me, if and when I choose to upgrade.

Of course, to be fair, a good many of the Goblet plots have a view of the side of a cliff, so I can understand the general lack of interest in the area.

All but two (11 and 16) of the plots in Lavender Beds have a view that dead-ends in an ugly rock wall after a short distance. Why SE chose to situate it in a ravine is beyond me.

On Adamantoise we still have a lot of housing left. No one really does the buy and resell on our server and if does happen, people usually report it.

I have a small house wanted to upgrade to a large, but due to having to move everything out and me having no inventory space I didn't go for it. These houses sold out so fast maybe they should add more.

This is one of the times I'm glad I'm not on a high population server. I don't have a ton of money, but I was able to buy a small plot in the Mist right by the beach.

I got my house! I was super lucky!

Omg yeah that large house in Lavender Beds its near a nice waterfall and for some effed up reason they put a huge spikey rock blocking the view. WHY!!?? It's not worth the gil it costs because of that!

I actually would have liked to get that large in Lavender Beds if they didn't have ugly rocks blocking the view. So instead I went for the favourite Mist plot. The large by the ocean. Plot 5 or 35 in subdivision.

At any rate, it's sad to keep hearing the same story of people buying multiple houses and then trying to upsell for profit. So while GMs and Admin do not really take much action against them, the rights of those who are causing the problem are protected? Meanwhile... S-E: /shrug

I say just thrown down some name drops anyways. FCs, characters to watch out for. I'm so sick of hearing that good people are getting screwed out of an opportunity because some jagoffs are trying to make a quick gil. I'm not trying to cause trouble or want to break rules, but at the same time it sucks that these clowns are getting away with it.

Yeah. I know. I'm just venting. Against the rules I get... it just sucks that people who didn't get houses are at the mercy of these assholes. What's worse, nothing is getting done about it. I know the Admin and GMs alike can see these posts and the complaints posted in game, and yet, hands are tied.

I'm fortunate enough to have my FC and personal home from a long while ago and if I could, I'd give space to other people who were looking for a home.

Maybe if the dev team or whomever can implement a function for FCs and personal homes to open up their doors to wayward souls so they can rent/buy a room. It's silly to have a personal home limit to three people and still not be able to make a room so why not just go the next step and have a Landlord system where FCs and personal home owners can just invite people to live at the house freely, rent a room and decorate it. The caveat would be that they won't have FC house access because they aren't in the actual FC but at least they'd have a roof over their heads and a hang out spot.

We're a small, quiet friendly FC who are casual folk. I'd love more traffic in my home and the ward we live in. I want some neighbours damn it...

The goblet doesnt seem to be very popular... Are there still houses there on the populated servers? Or are people not too picky on the populated ones.

SE was incredibly short sighted with housing.

I'm starting to realize I got very lucky with no lobby errors or disconnects getting into Balmung. Waited behind a queue of 500 and Mist was completely gone even that soon, but I did manage to get a small in the Goblet with a nice view. I like the Goblet, so I'll take what I can get, no complaints here.

They're all gone. Goblet was the last to go on Greg, but still gone within 15 minutes of server going live.

Personally, I like the Goblet district much more than LB, but much less than Mist.

i camp with a friend (who looking for personal house S) since 3 hours before release time, and we login in the very very first min. sadly my game crash many times trying to get in the game, BUT all the efforts worth it bcz i get a sexy house on WARD 12 "Lavender Beds" plot 33 (LARGE), he get his house SMALL in limsa, and after the bloodbath i port to uldah and check "IF" some plots are free, hapilly i find 2 unsold plots, and buy a personal house for me SMALL, that personal house was for any player (friend preffer) who look for a house and have no the time or energy to camp like us.

i already have my FC house and im very happy, but tbh i still worry about that mafia and looking so many FC/player who really need/want the house experiencia too, im a agree about posting player NAMES and fc NAMES waiting for a move from SE.

hope they fix this ASAP, all the ppl deserve get the full experience.

Just checked, Lavender beds sold out in minutes on med/large and small soon after, Mist went fairly fast but there are still tons of mediums and a few smalls still sitting open in Ul'dah. No one wants Goblet, but I don't blame them, it's the ugliest and starkest zone of the three.

That being said I got my plot in Lavender Beds in plot 11 on my main as I wanted! So happy, I had no problems logging in and had logged out at the entrance and still barely was able to get that spot. They were all sold and I was able to click the sign faster than someone who had run up beside me so I got it by the skin of my teeth!

The rush to get a house for me started with a pang, with cannons being fired outside celebrating the dissolution of union with Sweden.
In the end I had no problem entering the game, and was able to get the plot I wanted at the beach in The Mist. It was a good thing I did some preparations the day before, by logging out in front of the dock and memorising which aetheryte to teleport to. Was only a couple of seconds earlier before my neighbours arrived.

The only slight problem I had was that I got disconnected 8 minutes later, and had to wait through a queue of ca.700 to get back in. Glad it happened after and not before I got to purchase a house.

Still can't afford it. Which is a pain I have a full time job so not like I can be on here 24/7 like other people can. Just gonna wait for the apartments.
