Reporting Latency Related Issue (NA Data Center)

I have a certain advantage in that I have two ISPs: Comcast and AT&T Wireless (through my phone). I do not have any packet loss on AT&T Wireless. The game is 100% playable on my phone's internet sharing.

I can't do a pathping because either my phone or AT&T blocks the required ICMP packets for it. However, running a long ping test (5000 packets), while I get 18-24% packet loss on Comcast, I get 0% on AT&T Wireless.

*Frequency (How often does the issue occur?) - Has been happening every night for the past week (January, 25th started the disconnects 90002) Late last year, early this year I noticed very little lag, if any, and never a 90002.
*Content (Which content were you playing in-game when the issue occurred?) - All content. Questing, killing, gathering, crafting, walking around, even standing still you can see the game freeze for a few seconds every now and then, then get the 90002

My hop before the Lv3 in Montreal used to time out *all the time* and now the problem seems to have gone away here as well.

Something appears to have been fixed or route changed. My route is Colorado to Balmung.

I used to have packet loss at ORMUCO and a couple hops after that as well, every single night NA primetime. Have seen a couple other post this as well. Just wanted to say it has been clean for the past 5 nights for me. I've never had a single NA primetime night where there wasn't extremely bad packet loss.

The 100ms latency is something I've played with before and it was never this bad for rubberbanding. I have attempted isolating my own network and ISP. I have tried new network gear (modem, router, switches) and done FTP uploads to datacenters in Utah and Canada (west coast) with no more than 40-80ms of latency. My ISP and pathing outside of FFXIV is fine. But going to the FFXIV servers I get the 100ms hops. Did someone mess with the routing tables?

Not a single other game has any issues with lag. League of Legends doesn't, CS:GO doesn't, Ragnarok Online doesn't. FFXIV is LITERALLY the only thing I have problems with on my connection.

Edit: Using a VPN like WTFast or Mudfish isn't a valid solution. I'm paying a subscription fee already for this game I shouldn't need to sub to a third party service in order to actually PLAY the dang thing.

Please fix this! The problem isnt on the NA Datacentre exclusive, its on Chaos too i know 40-50 ppl that got problems with connection to the lobby server all the time. Iam Really Angry!

This is still happening. SE you need to either move your servers so traffic isn't routed through level3.net or start including VPN service with a PAID subscription. Right now if you're in an area unlucky enough to have traffic routed through level3.net for FFXIV it's next to impossible to play during most hours since you never know when you're going to get packet loss/DCs

So are we going to get help and get this problem fix or are we gonna keep posting and waiting for an answer/solution that will never come? Since 3.2 been getting constant disconnects 90002,90001. It would start around 12pm-1pm EST. First disconnect would happen after a bit of lag. Then after that every login would disconnect again every minute without warning. This is getting really annoying as it seems no one is saying anything if this is going to get fix or if they are working on it. I saw on a previous post somewhere that another post like this existed and they simply closed it like it was solved when many said it wasn't. I feeling like quitting this game for good.

FFS SE... This is STILL rampant and you haven't said a SINGLE thing about if you're even LOOKING INTO IT. I can't comfortably play the game with other players/ enemies appearing to teleport around due to frequent packet loss.. I wouldn't have even started playing again if I knew this was going to be the state of things. I certainty wouldn't be playing now if I didn't have a subscription running. I understand these things happen in large MMOs where updates are frequent, but this is annoying as I'm limited on what I can do in game because of crappy server performance. Honestly, we're all paying for a quality service. Subscription time should be credited to all players who haven't been able to play the game to it's full potential. That or just fix the problem. I installed the game a few days ago and was able to play for a little while, but experienced some intermittent lag and was booted with a 90002 error a few times. The issue has gotten progressively worse; at the time of this post, the most I can do is walk around, unable to interact with anything, use skills, or do anything related to play, before being booted after about 45-60 seconds. I've tried port forwarding and services like WTFast with no change.

The game is entirely unplayable in this state, and I don't see any way the problem could be clientside.

The issue started happening about 3 days ago after maintenance, didn't have any latency at all when i started playing the game 26 days ago, this lag started recently. Tried to do Titan extreme and it was just too laggy, I am scared to que up for a duty with these ping spikes.

For the most part the game has ran fine since the day my wife and I started playing. However, since the last patch we've both been having issues with d/c's and lag spikes at all times of the day (she works 3rd shift, I work 1st shift).

My main character is on Odin. I have an alternate class on Adamantoise. This lag has been a persistent nuisance since the release of 3.2. I normally play on Odin, but live in the US. (Note: I have been able to play perfectly fine on Odin since 3.2. Would get a slight ping spike every two hours, but now it's almost constant.) The issue occurs while I play on Odin, and also when I switch to play my alternate on Adamantoise. Very frustrating especially while raiding. I've done multiple ISP checks, and all of them claim it's FFXIV.

Below is some information you might find useful. The trace route is pretty common. I don't see timeout until after L3 Montreal end point. I don't know how that ties into the front of the load balancing of the server farm for Faerie but this should be a good point that somewhere in L3's network and transition to your Data Center there is a drop off. I'd say a routing issue but because it's not something that's completely is down it's probably be something more dynamic. Maybe there is a physical SPF or card issue for one of yours or Level3's network hardware that is having CRC errors and needs to be swapped out.

Had no issues early today from 0900-1400 then all of a sudden things got REALLY bad. Did a router and modem reset which did not resolve the issue. Did a speed test to Ontario just to see if it was an ISP issue. It is not. Speed test was 25 down 6 up with ping of 32ms.

Terrible lag today--between one and five seconds of latency with each action.

Haven't had any lag issues for well over a year, but since Thursday may 5th it has become impossible to play. at the moment FF14 will freeze up due to lag spike and might take 10 seconds or more before things start to move again.
