My guess is theres only the one earring. If you look at it, it appears to already have a red stone to represent Dalamund.

It's shocking to me how many people seem to have already forgotten the easter event and how it happened. It's like I've gone back in time.

There's a high probability that further happenings will occur with this event, please stop QQing over it.

What the hell is this crap! I killed one Moon-eyed Mouse and got my Moonlet, only to find that its just as good as the swimsuits (crap). the swimsuits at least looked cool. I went to all the other camps only to find that all the Moon-eyed mouse drop the same thing. So i continued onto talking to the NPC in ul'dah, only to be let down again. All the NPC did was tell me the story covered in the Hunter's Moon article. IF THERE IS ANYTHING I MISSED IN THIS EVENT PLEASE LET ME KNOW. OTHERWISE THIS HAS BEEN THE WEAKEST EVENT EVER.

Also, this is the event that didn't need to happen. I'm considering it a bonus, regardless of how it plays out.

What I WANT to do is get a visit from one of the Newspaper reporters.

We are simplly saying these rewards are pathetic and do not encourage anyone to participate. I think we are all well aware that this event will prolly evolve each week but that does not detract from the fact that this reward as well as the last 5 event rewards have been useless clutter. They should at least serve a purpose, even if its temporary or specific to the event.

Well that was a cute little distraction.

you all seem to forget EVERYTHING from XI's seasonal events was worthless they are merely for entertainment :p and extra storyline content (as silly as the story may be)

I seem to remember FFXI's seasonal events being a little more interesting than these.

well yes but the item rewards where just as usless they have always been silly things :D

They may have been useless but they had a function. The items in these event dont have any function at all.

the last 2 events have those. the helm was nice for ranking 20-25 on everything. the swimsuit just looks cool. this will probably have some use when the event progresses (if it does)

I think this event will probably get a second part to it as it nears the real life Tsukimi/Mid-autumn Festival date on the 15th.

Treat Staff II Wasn't useless- warp, with a 24-48 recast I believe?

City collars- super easy to get, 10 minute recast warps to the named collar. Windurst collar warped you to Windurst. 10 charges on that necklace. REALLY useful for stupid Chains of Promathia (It was like Lord of the Rings with just the Sam and Frodo part to me)

Not all of XI's event items were useless.

FFXI didn't have anima, and aside from that they pretty much were cosmetic.

I find it totally unbelievable people can complain about this? Seriously stfu and wait till the event finishes and DOESN'T move on to something else before you condemn it to hell as a bad idea even though you weren't expecting it in the first place and got a neat cosmetic item out of it.

even for a useless item, ppl should not complain either, if you dont like it dont do it if the item is useless and waste your slot. For me it is a decent and much have item (I like rare item) and beside it look good for fashion

ninja edit: I do hope the event have 2nd pharse, I like the earing and I like it more if I can get a pair

The earring is quite good for low level chars, I don't see why people are complaining so much about this item that drops from level 15 mouses... what did you expect? that the mouse you can kill in 1 hit drops a level 30+ gear? Wait for the next part of the event where it might be with higher level mobs and maybe higher tier item.

If there isn't any other part to it? why do you still complain? this event wasn't even needed, it's just some bonus stuff and you get a nice low level earring. You don't like it? stop your immature QQ and don't participate in, let the one who enjoys it do it.

Edit: Most of all, quit poluting the forums with this whining.

Its 3 eva for 1 slot....its decent. Good for people who don't have 12/12 points and want evasion.

...and the collars, and the treat/trick staves, and just about every other event item from FFXI that actually DOES SOMETHING.

I love how the world events are tying into the lore in-game with the coming war etc. Pretty cool and I hope they keep it up

I only got one so far but I only killed like 5 of them.
I'm guessing there's more to the event than just kill a few mice and get an earring just I have no idea what.
Plus people have had the pics in their sig change to a new one and I don't have that yet.

An anniversary item would be very very nice as the one year anniversary is coming up. Like an anniversary ring from XI! Just throwing that out there. XD

so far its only

kill 1 mouse 1 achievement
kill like 50 or 60 and get the 2nd achievement
wear the earring and do idk to get the new profile pic

there is people saying they have seen a rank 35 mob named Moon Toothed Mouse. i put it to the test helping LS members kill these and i fought for about 3-4 hours .. ya that mouse does not exist lol unless there is some special circumstance to get it to pop.

Anyone know how to get the profile picture of the moon-earred marmots or does it just take a really long time to show up? I got both the achievements in my history and been wearing the earring for over 20 hours. So far no profile picture change. Killed over 100 moon-earred marmots and talked the to NPCs before and after killing them.

I met the requirements for the achievements sometime last night and didn't see them on my lodestone page until this morning. The Background didn't show up until this evening. So yeah... give it a day or so.

I fought the moon-tooth mouse, tons of the them, for 45 minutes, they only drop the moonlet earring as welll.

what is the goal of this event, and what items does it reward, AND HOW IS IT PLAYED?
