Far outweighs the previous a-c patches we've had in terms of the additions and fixes. Looks good, keep it up Yoshi-P/Team. I'm anxiously awaiting the next patch, most fun I've had with the game since release.
A++ Would play again!
According to you, there is no such thing as too far, as we decided to have drastic changes to eorzia. Making Roegydn lobsters and carnivorous miqo'te are drastic changes you say you will accept. No one would want that to happen, but hey, we all allowed them the option of doing so.
Now, allowing gladiators to have increased weaponskill potency while not equipped with a shield is realistic. I see no reason to be against it.
God...I feel like a few parts of this thread was a Jerry Springer show O.o; good lord.
I noticed that she was R34 CON as well but that doesn't change the fact there were R50 CON's who could main heal + clear the R45 dungeon 48 hours after the dungeon was released. Plus with 1.19 we'll be able to cast while in passive, making mana regeneration that much easier to come by.
Yeah awesome mini patch before the next big patch of 1.19. Love that I can continue leveling my mining in grade 5 zones without running into aggro mobs that will murder me. Extra UI enhancements are always nice, love the Home Point thing and they did it right it sounds like.
Think I am even more excited about the "Sea" changes in the ferry. Gives me so much hope that they will be visually improving the game! Yeah!
I hope everyone's /pose looks exactly like the miqote's. That would be excellent.
Call me greedy, but I would of liked to see an increase in normal attack damage as well as throwing weapons.
Setting home point gets a big thumbs up.
I don't believe patch notes come out until the patch is ready. So any pre-releasing doesn't generate feedback in time. And since the community has a negative knee-jerk reaction to change, any feedback they receive from the patch notes is far less useful than actual gameplay feedback.
This isn't change for the sake of change. This is a response to the related question which indicated that the community wanted defined class roles. Everybody gets to go from being a generalist to being pigeonholed into a particular role.
Great patch notes. Looking forward to having a real home point again! Still no mention of decent party flag/recruitment options tho.. :(
I think the MP consumption is just fine for mages, but I agree that it's a bit overkill when using cures thru a 'subjob'. This only really matters for solo play, but so far.. that's alot of what ppl do these days. I guess since I can still solo 4star r40 leves, its not so bad that it DEMANDS a fix.. but when my buffs drop, i get maybe 2 cure2's in if im lucky! How can I solo 5stars like that! :p
It's most likely just changes to the water around the bow of the boat to give it a feeling of motion. Currently the boat feels like you're Stationary.
Working as intended then, they are trying to move away from the superman Icandoeverythingyoucando gameplay and push people into more designated roles.
I was actually talking about making it so gladiators do more damage with no shield equipped, like it was meant to be months ago ^^. Im glad all the others are getting the damage boosts they need to counter the risk of melee combat, gladiator is still just mr shield guy. At least marauders can tank multi-monster groups better than gladiator still (holding aggression), and do great damage with the update.
question about MP cuz i honestly dont know...
ok i havent done the dungeons yet and only played a good 4 days on my THM before i decided to wait for 1.19
stygian spikes doesnt seem to give very much MP back and ethers are pretty much useless. exhaltation is great but its a 10 min cool down. standing replenishes MP but that makes you a bad mage if your in a party.
so, if your in a long fight or a long run and your constantly running out of MP, what do you do? stygian spikes doesnt do me any good in a party, ethers are useless and alot of MP useage happens within a 10 min cooldown.
so what are the mages currently doing in party situations for MP regen after nuking/enfeebling/healing for so long?

This pic is it really available? i mean the clothes on the generated model are they currently in game..?
Soooo no swimsuits?
simian thrash needs the evade function removed w/ SE trying to bring GLA in the limelight w/ better tanking abilities it makes simian thrash obsolete in a party format in a lot of situations. MAR seemed to get stiffed slightly on adjustments MAR gains TP slower than other jobs; attacks slower and is impacted more often from missing attack. Mar needs an acc increasing ability, attk increasing ability or possibly double attk like they have maybe hinted at. Arch does too much dmg for a job that is at a lot less risk of dieing. An Arch should not be hitting harder than MAR or LNC period; especially if archer has less of a base delay.
Why didnt Skull Sunder get a dmg buff it is one of MARs main tools for DDing . Makes no sense that PUG and LNC are gettin buffs to there favored TP attacks and MAR is gettin shafted in comparison by there patch notes. I hope there is a increase to the base dmg of MAR LNC and possibly PUG to further balance things out.
I wonder what poised them to make the /pose animation....Not that I'm complaining or anything just wonder what my Elvaan male will do...
No summer event yet :[
Classes aren't jobs.
We don't know what they're doing with the job system yet -- If they buff Gladiator to be something it originally wasn't designed as (it's very obviously designed to use a sword and shield) you're pretty much delaying the job system and forcing them to rebalance something for no reason.
The most they'll do is buff skills, which has been proven they're more than ready to do.
You missed the tidbit of gladiator lore in my previous post. Written, without a shield, the gladiator focuses on the sword arm. meaning more damage. And it isnt delaying anything, its already been said there are teams working on various different aspects. I guess they can go ahead and just buff gladiator skills, with or without shield? simple, yet not how it is meant to be.
No one has been mentioning gladiator when discussing the risks of new boss fights, and that is why they were overlooked for buffage. I am mentioning them now.
