Still time to get those last minute entries in! As to the question about shifting ratios, that won't work because of the structure of the contest. The male and female contests run in parallel with one elimination per week from each. So all moving the ratio would do is result in having no eliminations for the men for the first 6 rounds and double eliminations for the women...which doesn't seem much better to me. I've plans in place so no worries!

What I was going for: I should have seen it coming, that the amphitheatre would be decked out for the event, but for some reason I didn't think of it and was caught off guard. I went with it, and let it inspire this image of a stage diva's tantrum.

Models interested in the Youtube Cycle, I wanted to give you a heads up! ^^

I would love it if you all could record a voice memo for both a Model Introduction ("Hi, my name is Kaelah and I AM Eorzeas Next Top Model!" or something) and also an Elimination message. ("I am in total shock right now! I can't believe I lost!" or something) and also...Pick your Elimination Music!!! xD Please keep it from within the Final Fantasy games! For example, if I was eliminated, I would want FF8's Drifting to play while I said my elimination speech.

For those of you who cannot/don't want to record any voice messages, you can type out what you would like someone else to say for you, and I will go over to one of the anime dub forums and cast a girl to do it for you. ^^

I don't want all 8 of you to record winner's messages. I'd rather way til we announce the winner and then have them record a thank you message.

Judges - how do you feel about becoming coaches to one or two of the models each? They'd send you their pictures, and you could coach them and have them send you resubmissions, and then you send their final shot to me to show all the other judges where we discuss them on Skype chat over a few day period. You all get to choose 1 model for the contest, and I get to choose the other 4, so if you guys would rather coach just THAT model that is fine too, and I will take my 4.

I'll have the first video (a very rushed one) put out this weekend to announce 8 models and 2 understudies, and you all have 3 weeks to send in your pics and resubmissions (there is only EIGHT photoshoots.) Then the 4 judges and I will start deliberating. Hopefully the other 4 judges wont leak who is being eliminated and who wins xD. From there, I will start editing the videos. First one will be the 8 model intros, and their photoshoot 1 pics, and then end on a cliffhanger for who gets eliminated... second one will be who gets eliminated, photoshoot 2, elimination. And then from there it will go until the second to last episode which will also end on a cliffhanger, and then i will email the winner and have them record their winning message, which I will put in the last episode.

Judges, we will be chatting via skype in a group chat (not voice, text) and agreeing on a callout order, strongest photo, weakest, etc. If you are coaches to models, please don't show your pics or help each other or anything like that. Think of it as friendly judge competition. But also, don't score your model the highest score every time. Maybe theyre bad at taking direction and you can dock points for that.

If everything goes right, I hope to work on the episodes before and during my 1 month long winterbreak and have the first real episode up before 2015! ^^

Oh, I should also clarify - the no Fantasia thing only applies during the contest itself, meaning once the cast is set. So Fantasia all you like until midnight (Eastern) tonight, but you're locked in at that point!

I was wondering if the no Fantasia is to prevent people from not changing Race/Gender only? For some rounds I think it would be nice to change eye color ( simulate colored contacts ) ;3

I don't believe you can change eye color without a Fantasia ;<

The no fantasia was a rule throughout the prior Cycles that I'm keeping in place for this one. I understand the eye colour thing, but it's still an advantage to people who either saved the fantasias or can throw money into getting more and I'd rather keep things on as even a keel as possible between all contestants.

Edit: Though I originally applied for Cycle 3, I do not mind being considered for the YouTube contest. The only problem I could have with that is the sending of all pictures before the contest begins (since I only have access to my ps3 on the weekends).

You'll have a little over 3 weeks (so 3 weekends) to do them, and all but one are in the open world. If you don't get into Ty's and you get into the YT one, I'd use your first weekend to send in placeholders that are roughly what you are going for, and then spend the next two perfecting them based on our conversation about the pictures. ^^

I edited my post saying I was only auditioning for Cycle 3 thinking that the YT one required to make videos. My computer is pretty bad and I don't know if it could handle it. If it's just pictures though I would have no problem with it.

I would seriously like to congratulate all the entrants on how incredible their work has been. You are making the job of selecting the final lineup impossibly difficult and I couldn't be happier about this. I'd also like to take a moment to mention how absolutely thrilled I am with our judges. They've all been incredibly involved and thoughtful in the selection process themselves and I've gotten some wonderfully detailed explanations of why they chose the entrants they did.

So Kurri and myself took some time to do a voice com critique of all the contestants last night (or well... at least the first 40 so of you)
