How much gil do you have on you?

I had 6.1 mil and change when I bought my small house, and I also bought one for my wife (She had around 400k).

Since then I've been bouncing around between 1.4 mil and 2 mil (currently at 1.9 mil), but I'm still testing out what furnishing I want, etc. I expect to bottom out around 1.5 mil at the lowest before I'm fully happy with my house.

edit: I want to point out that I don't go out of my way to make gil (I use the AH all the time, but I don't craft stuff to sell or SB for materia, etc), but I also don't buy a lot. I teleport all the time, buy from vendors when I'm lazy, and generally just don't put out more than I bring in from dailies/dungeons/challenge logs. I do dailies every day. Gil isn't hard to come by, and I can see how people might be rich as hell if they put effort into it. I'm also as of this edit 13 alexandrite from my novus which I had saved all my materia leveling up for, and have been playing for less than 4 months of subscription time.

After buying my house, I now have 48k and some change. The only reason I had enough to even buy a house is, almost a month ago I got lucky in a treasure map drop. Got Blue Bird minion and sold it.

Before that, the highest amount of gil I had at one time was 857k.

I do know I could make a lot pretty quickly. But usually it's more tedious than I care for.

3.3mil, which i had around 2-3 months now. i started melding/finished my novus yesterday, and it cost me....50k? bought a bunch of Materia II, and failed it way to much cause of FUBAR RNG.
i been doing daily roulettes, as SCH. if i had gone as tank, I'd probably have a few more mil by now, cause that's where i got those 3mil.
i hardly ever use market.

15mil. Stopped playing pre 2.2 and just started to play again after the free log-in time.

About 200k on my character, and approximately 6.4mil on my retainers. Which I've been saving up since...forever. And no, haven't bought house either.

Most I ever had was about 10-15m before I donated the bulk of that for our medium FC house back in the day. Since then, lots has been spent on getting all my crafters and gatherer's fully materia'd to the point of 3 star functionality.

I had 6m shortly before patch, gambled on a furniture boom and bought 2m worth of various goods to prepare myself (I made a good amount of gil back when private rooms was released this way). Naturally with only 180 new houses this didn't pay off much. Ended up making a small profit. Have since donated most of that profit towards the FC so that it can, eventually, save up for a Large FC House. I have 80 sales slots in use though, and if that stuff eventually sells I'll have significantly more gil to donate to the FC. I'll retain the 1.2m for now as cash for whatever I might desire.

Not buying a personal house at the moment. FC is more important to me for now.

Sitting at 250k, but previously had close to a mil.
Just ending up spending a ton on outfitting my miner that I recently got to 50, which at one point put me at about 15k.

That was 2 days ago, so I'm slowly starting to make money back via mining unspoiled resource nodes.

No intention on ever buying a personal house, I live a truly hedonistic lifestyle.

Not bad, with that amount, you can feed your Chocobo for nearly two days.

About 50mil. 95% of which came from 1.0. The rest from a profitable server transfer of converting gil to items and back. Made no effort to make gil in ARR as I don't really need to.

About 1.6 mil, But 1.5 mil is saved for Materias for Novus. But prices on Savage Might Grade 4 just keep increasing >_>

Lots of glamour items, furnishing 2 FC houses and other various expenditures prevented me from having more. (๑◕︵◕๑)

I have about 550.000 gil on me, I rarely buy anything off of the market board, I simply can;t afford most things on a legacy server.

Oh and SE when you're working out the average gil per player don;t include the top and bottom 5% in your calculations, it skews results.

709,304 gil. 40 items on AH, both retainers on ventures, and 1 T4 materia away from Novus.

Over the lifetime of the game I've probably had about 3.5 million gil. I never really tried to make gil over long periods of time, just quick hits to get something I wanted which was never really much either way.

Still, the housing prices are ridiculous and I have absolutely no interest in getting one. Not before the news and definitely not after.

Good idea, since they are probably including the extravagant amounts of gil bots are most likely producing.

10k on myself at all times, 2.1mil on one of my 3 retainers. I reached 2mil yesterday and before that the most I have ever had was 1mil. It's probably going to drop quite a bit because I have a few IV materias I need to buy. And hell no, no personal house.

Currently I have 50k. I had just over 800k and my girlfriend had about 1mil. We pooled our money to get a house and are now completely broke and disappointed to see that we can't share ownership and if I let her in then I have to let everyone in.

I was going to mention something along those lines as well. In Yoshi's explanation he mentioned they took an average...blah blah. It doesn't seem as if the masses are justifying the average they came to. Then again this is not a full representation of everyone on every server nor is it an accurate account of their wallet.

At any rate, after 2.1(I believe) gil hasn't been an issue at all. Before then I worked 1 day a week for it, and I live comfortably now I spend maybe 2 hours a week working on making money and really can't complain.

But from the posts here, the average SE got doesn't equate. Something is off.

Had over seven million, bought a house and am now sitting at around two point five million. I use teleports sparingly, prefering to use airship or mounts to get around, craft every now and then to make gil, and make an effort to gather materials or purchase cheaply from NPCs whenever possible. Pretty much any craftable piece of gear I wear, I craft myself rather than buy from the Marketboards.

Down to 7 million after buying a small personal house. Spent quite a bit on Novus, and have a medium FC house all to myself with around 10 million in furniture (which I can transfer between houses which is cool). I don't have any 3 star crafters or anything like that, there are many easy ways to make money playing the market board.

I have 1.3 mil... and most of that I got from a friend when they quit playing ff14

About 200k. Granted, I don't know how much my retainers have because I'm constantly selling and I'm at work right now. I've also been consistently putting 100-500k in my FC's chest so we can get a medium house. I've probably donated about 2M over the last month or so. Everything else goes to shards, cheap mats, and materia.

Right now I have about 18mil, and about 3-4mil on the MB for sale.

If I take into account everything I have spent gil on (M house for FC, S house for me, beastmen mounts, minions, novus, all manners of furnishings etc.) I have had at least 60m flow through my character alone.

I have never RMT, have never sold merc runs, and after patch 2.2 I hardly craft at all, and when I do it's so I don't have to spend gil as opposed to making it. Within the last few months I got my LTW to master and sold a few things here or there, but not much in the grand scheme of things.

used to have 6M before patch 2.3 but the personal room cost me a lot.

i have 3 mil on me, but thats what i try to carry at all times. i find it very easy to spirtbond one night a week, and get 2 mil from it.

I have spent at least 30 mil on stuff in game, including 5 mil for FC house, and another 5 mil on thav onions for my choco.

Gil is easy if you just take the time to earn it. i find far too many people complain but havent put any real effort into it.

i have only one craft at 50, culinary and never craft to make gil.

this game is a far cry from ffxi and the amount of farming you had to do to just gear yourself to level, let alone buy a vanity house.

if you want a house bad enough you would have planned to have lots of gil ready for it, but people dont want to earn anything anymore they just want it given to them.

I just hit 14 million again after having spent 20 million into our FC house the last time wards were added.

I have 186k on me.all retainers put together I have 1.5 million

Nice! Ad hom. Great job there! You'll note that there are many people on here who have reported giant sums, and I haven't called them cheats or anything of the sort. But you just go right on making unsupported accusations!
