I did 4 Titans after reading his post and all of them gave Bright, I'll just keep doing it and do extra ones to see if I get Gentle when the timer is suposed to change to Mog hm.

By 3.0 anyone with a relic themselves will just be a big blinding light.
Titan after 1pm CST: Gentle (I kept getting Bright before). So I guess the theory is consistent?
Can someone test Moggle Mog??
Cape Westwind is BESt, clear under 1 min .
Mog HM after 1pm: Bright.
1st place win in frontlines = blinding light
3rd place loss in frontlines = blinding light
Extreme Primals "appear" to be on the same rotation, just one light tier higher. Will need confirmation though, cos sod doing moogle that fight's a pain in the ass.
Just did Titan at 11:30 PDT with 2 other Novus players and got gentle light. What time zone is the list?
Also did a Mysterious Map early and got Gentle from it.
Japanese site finding:

Mog HM after 3pm CST: Gentle.
ST just gave me Newborn Star
Levi HM after 3pm CST: Gentle (confused here cuz from garuda to mog hm it seemed to work for blights D: )
Feeble = 1
Gentle = 2
Bright = 4
Brilliant = 6
Blinding = 12
Newborn Star = 16
Confirmed
Levi, Ramuh and Ifrit after 3pm CST: Gentle
Garuda after 3pm CST: Bright
Edit: Garuda keeps giving Bright while others give Gentle.

Brilliant from Frontlines
http://www.hybridupload.com/04/09/knx1.png
Got it after 7 Feeble Lights, 16 Gentle Lights, 8 Bright Lights, 11 Brilliant Lights and 7 Blinding Light.
It changed while farming Ramuh EX (from 5 to 11 Brilliant lights), not sure when.
So far I can 100% confirm:
Feeble - 1
Bright - 4
Brilliant - 8
Blinding - 12
Newborn - 16
Taking into account your numbers and Soyre_Monre's example from above, we might have some finalization of all the types:
Before "farming Ramuh EX" (187):
7 Feeble Lights x 1 "light" = 7
16 Gentle Lights x 2 "light" = 32
8 Bright Lights x 4 "light" = 32
4 Brilliant Lights x 8 "light" = 32
7 Blinding Lights x 12 "light" = 84
After (243):
7 Brilliant Lights x 8 "light" = 56
If nothing else, this confirms that Brilliant isn't 6 and Blinding 8 if the cutoff is really 200 for "indistinct", as the combined total would only be 193.
Happy grinding...
It's 1, 2, 4, 8, 12, 16.
I originally said 6 for brilliant but it was a mistake as I hadn't gotten any since last night so it was going off of (poor)memory.
Only thing left to do now is figure out the bonus cycles I guess.
Any clues who's bright now? Gentle from ifrit.
Leviathan hm
Correction, Brilliant is in fact 6 points. I knew I remembered that correctly, blahh. I remember expecting it to be 8 and feeling let down when it turned out to be 6 :/
And I plan to here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...light-findings
Before launch people dat mined the new gear from the beta. SE made an official post stating anyone posting the images or links to the images would be banned.
I'm not going to try and find the post because I can't be bothered. I was just trying to be nice giving people a warning based on what I've seen previously.
Can someone tell me where I see my current number how you found about the light value after completing a fight please? Because everytime I use the item I don't see any number appearing in chatbox nor on the interface of nexus light O.o and i did several in a row to try find but without luck...
If you can show me or even a picture would be nice.
Thank you.
Then where do they go find those numbers? -_- And how they know much they have? I seem them talking about that in the forum... >_>
Like knowing that you need 2000 light points for nexus and that newborn star giving 16 and blinding 12, etc etc... or they are using something outside the game to know that?
