I hate you (kidding), but congrats on passing the RNG hell.

This is Hell on Earth lol, ihave 5 at the moment, working on my 6th at Upper La Noscea, feels like i've been here forever
I work full time and have school, but I've been chipping away at my Scholar for a while and am iLevel 88. I really enjoy the game and I like running instances, though I don't have a free enough schedule to do hardcore raids with an FC. That said, this Atma crap is where I stop grinding - it's not fun, it's lazy, and I'd rather wait 3 months for the requirements to be lowered than waste 20 hours doing something that's unimaginative and boring. I already did all these fates while I was leveling up; I'm not going to devolve my Scholar down to level 10 and mash my two buttons for a week just so I can maybe get 1/12th of the way closer to a minor upgrade. Shame on you, Squeenix, this is lazy as hell on your part. You added zero content for this, and there is zero character progression attached to it - you can't even level your alt while you do it! You might as well give the weapon for logging in and out a million times.
Yeah, this is horrible. Late Friday night fates are back to the old days where they are getting completed before you can even get to them. I honestly could understand if they said "COMPLETE 100 FATES" but this random drop chance is not worth it. Better to spend the time running dungeons for a weapon drop unless you WIN at RNG.
My favorite part of this is the simultaneous implementation of the challenge log that indicates doing FATEs in 5 different regions and doing 10 unique FATEs in the course of a week is apparently a challenge worth rewarding.
Been doing FATEs in Bronze Lake all day (21 hours to be exact) and no atma has dropped whatsoever.
Still, I guess those 150-200 FATEs I did brings me closer to the achievement for clearing 3000.
10 hours so far I haven't got 1 drop yet. And yes I do have both my sword and shield equipped.
I want my Zodiak weapon...I do...what I don't want is to spend all my "game time" or "raiding time" doing FATES...I do that enough when I level my alts and now I only have 3 to go. I do not mind puting the work in but this random drop crap is stupid beyond stupid. At least with Turn 5 you know that someone is going to get a weapon...this we can be running FATES for days and never see one part drop...come on.You release a bunch of new content and then don't want us to play it because we are freaking Zerging FATES like retards trying to upgrade our damn Relic weapons. I am not some kind of sevant that can mindlessly run FATES always thinking..."it's going to drop on the next one...nope...the next one...nope...the next on...DAMN IT ALL to HELL!!!!!"
I was in a fate party for about 6 hours today saw about 13 people come and say they got theirs and leave, the rng makes it so you can take 5 min get it or 10 hours and not see any.
if it helps, i got atma of the crab off a FATE in sapsa while i was doing the storyline quests. sorry, i dont remember which fate it was
Good thing I didnt make all the classes available in the game so im not any tired of doing f.a.t.e.s.
I got Scorpian one on first fate I did. I thought maybe if I went by birth month of character it would work and it kinda sorta did. To bad can't trade them if this is the case.
7th atma is going to make me put a gun to my head...
one question..as a Paladin..do i need to have both sword and shild zenith...or just one to farm the stones??
White Knights everywhere!

Still 0/12.
Why are there 2 Central Thanalan Atmas on that list?
Fifth day in the same zone. Aaargh. Not complaining about the time at all but I literally don't know if I'm any closer to the drop than the minute I started.
I wouldn't mind the grind but the lottery aspect doesn't feel fun compared to trackable progression like fame and tomes.
3 in 3 weeks, aren't I the lucky one. Think I'm gonna have a pop at the ex primals instead
I'm at an Animus plus an Atma and 6/12 towards my third. There is a way to "increase" your odds of getting the drop through FATE-hopping. You only need the minimum contribution for a FATE to get an Atma, so what I do in low-level zones is if there's more than 1 FATE up and a bunch of on-levels are at the FATE I'm on, I'll get in a few hits and leave for the next one. I get credit and a chance on Atma for the FATE, and the on-levels get their contribution plus the exp for the mob kills I leave behind. Win/win in my book.
It boils down to:
1) Have your zenith equipped.
2) Grind fates in the area noted. ANY fates. Not a certain fate, ANY fate.
3) Rinse, repeat, cry , repeat, until you have them all.
Still working on the last two myself, so i know the pain.
oh damn right! and my chocobo is actually called "Bocco" :D
A month for me from 3rd atma to 4th.. last 2 days for 7 more lmao ! hopefully my last 2 go just as well.
