Actually its designed so you can interrupt your subscriptions from what I read on it. You can paid 2 months straight take 3 months break than pay for another month and you would be at 3 months subscription paying, getting the 3 month sub reward.

Considering there was talk about how the one year reward would be "something really special" this is pretty underwhelming. Considering you're looking at around $185 total invested in the game, I think a permanent reduction in the over all cost of the Teleport ability would be a better reward.

How disappointing :( I feel like the reward for adding a security token and this 360-day reward got mixed up somewhere :s

I know people are going to call us entitled brats but really is crappy vet reward it like you don't pull out your A+ prizes for 30 days like fantasia and then follow it up with 50 free teleports which is more like a C prize.

I second this. I would go as far as saying anything would be better, but they came up w/ so the next idea could be worse. Talk about rewarding one self into a corner, after the behe mount/ahriman at earlier days, this just seems like they didn't try. I hope they rethink this and add something like a black or gold chocobo.

95% sure they will be untradeable. As the veteran rewards are account based, meaning every character you make will get the items, it would be too easy to make chars, take tickets and delete and redo. So no selling them on market wards

to be honest this is kind of like a slap in the face for a one year reward hardly special, would be nice if you guys removed the ticket and turned them into something like that one time password or something. a free teleport for one time password and a free teleport for a full year subcription fifty tickets for a veteran reward, I am kinda disgusted this went through as a reward :/.

i so hope they have errors with this after patch goes live and then it turns into a big april fools joke

This is exactly why you shouldn't give out items that give players some sort of advantage. Do too much, you've warped the balance for new players. Do too little, and the committed players feel insulted.
Mounts, minions, barding, and general vanity. Those are perfectly fair. They don't alter gameplay and still feel like something special.
What would have been really nifty would be some sort of wind up doll of yourself. But that would probably be more effort than it's worth.

People do realize there is also a Wind-Up Odin minion right? Just saying.

Lol, let's be real...what do you want for 1 year? They stated FROM THE GET GO vet rewards will be vanity at best. You're paying to play an MMO - you have access to much, much, much much more than an once a month perk. Even if the game is low on the content side, you can get much more by actually playing than hoping for something for "free"..you're not getting what you paid for?

I'm cool with vanity gear actually get more use out of that, just saying put some kind of effort into the vet reward system or don't even bother with it as I stated in my previous post.

So what do I want I don't "want" anything but I do have better ideals then that, like the one time password doing where you get to set a tele besides home point as free, or a coupon to exchange for something like a primal token or a piece of myth gear without using your tomes, a third retainer.

Yeah, I don't really get this reward.... the vet rewards should never be something you can just buy.. and I can just buy teleports. And 50x 400 (and it's never that much) is like 20,000 gil. If you think of the reward as just giving us <20,000 gil, it's even worse =/

Where is the Marketing, when you need them?
I doubt new players are motivated to reach that 1 year milestone just because of 50 tickets...
If its already that worse, i will not imagine what will come on the 5 year milestone!

Wow, 50 free teleports? What a lame reward. I mean, Considering how cheap teleporting is, the value of those 50 tickets is easily below 20,000 gil. I would rather have 20,000 gil. For that matter, I could just run 3-4 level 50 dungeons if I wanted 20,000 gil.

They really should replace this with something better.

I still have two Fantasia Potions that are just eating up inventory space, I'd much rather have something I'm more likely to use.

That said, I doubt I'll use these tickets all that much... One homepoint, one free teleport from having a token, three favorite locations, all of which I'd never use the tokens for since it'd be a waste. On top of that, I doubt I'll use them unless it's for a costly teleport, which just means I'll use them even less... So... Probably another inventory -1 for me... Would have much rather the tickets provide an ability which gives a free teleport every X hours, like some people suggested it might be before we got confirmation. Wouldn't eat up inventory space, isn't ridiculously overpowered like free teleports for life. Would have been a much better reward in my opinion.

50? really? a mount cost 120000 gil in the game.
I'm estimating 50 tickets for a max of teleport cost of 500 gil = 25,000 gil

Pretty much agree. Two Fantasia potions I still have no use for, swim trunks I already had. . . . at least I can actually use this item.

MATH TIME!: 50 x 500(average cost for far teleports) = 25000 gil. For a 360 day membership, you pay about 130ish-180ish dollars, taking the rough average of 150 dollars, that means you are getting 166.66666666667 gil per dollar! Thanks SE!

I think the teleport tickets are fine but put into the rewards wrong. Should get 10 tickets each month on the 2nd month.
should get 110 tickets on there 1 year sub. Also think that should be the sub reward either since after the 2nd or 3rd sub reward the months increase from 30days to 80days or more. Should get 10 tickets each sub month for months we dont get any rewards. those 10 tickets get used up better that way also.

I don't know about you but with my Sub I:

-Continued where I left off from 1.23.
-Cleared launch and 2.1 content.
-Finished leveling some misc jobs.
-Leveled up SCH, played around on SMN.
-Finally got to fight the promised Titan
-Learned a bit more about the calamity
-Relive small nostalgia about LoTA and Crystal Tower.

So..yeah...wasn't aware we paid monthly for veteran rewards, I thought we payed to play the content in the game.

Well, yeah, I was just mentioning that seeing as how this reward takes a minimum of 130ish dollars, and directly effects the amount of gil being taken out of the server it is decently similar. Obviously the rewards are just perks for paying for X amount of time, I was just saying with THIS reward in general, it is pretty much selling gil at the highest rate ever seen.

A new emote would be a cool reward

I don't even teleport at all really I'm not gonna use the tickets at all. Id be happier with a cosmetic item or something else than an item that is consumable like that. Maybe an stack of gyshal greens that increases your exp earned for your chocobo by +300%¿ that'd be better in my opinion.

only 50 consumables?

ehh, guess i'm storing them in my retainer in the event of a worst case scenario.

50 is a lot better than 1 but it certainly won't sell any 6 month subscriptions. A cheap consumable item isn't much of a "Reward".

This is totally underwhelming BUT if you teleport and use a ticket and then your party members use your tele and all of theirs are free without expending a separate ticket for each then at least you could do 50 treasure hunts for 2kish gil cheaper.

Having just 50 consumables isn't really rewarding, I think a permanent teleport ticket but with cooldown of one or two hours instead would be a better way to do this I guess?

This item will somehow feel more valuable to me just sitting in my storage. I probly wont ever touch it. It will just be there only because it was the yearly award. Dissapointing.

They also mentioned a menu asking if you want to use the ticket or not.. does that mean im just going to be annoyed by another extra message popping up in my face while im only trying to teleport somewhere? Like those."you want to go there?" "You sure?" "Really?. Ok hit X" but hey, at least its something.

I guess when I give away all my gil and quit I can tele around if I ever decide to come back ?

well now, that's disappointing. i hope that you plan on changing the reward in the future because it doesn't feel like much of a reward.
