From everything I've read, that much Skl Spd is really only going to help you burn your tp faster. Does 60 crit make a huge difference when trying to get Bloodletter refresh procs? I'm not sure. As I understand brd, you want to max crit and then determination, after you reach whatever acc cap you need. Skl spd is just a bonus. There are crit/det foods out there, so maybe try experimenting.

I almost have a full myth set and will probably use Allagan as a Skl spd set or replace a couple pieces of myth that don't have det on them at all, like the brd feet.

Can't wait for the lodestone to get updated with the new 2.2 bard items :D

Yeah its definitely better, but i'm personally going for allagan body since it looks awesome and isnt so bad lol.. Though my mind may change depending on which turn it actually drops from.

I guess choices for Bards were pretty straight forward.

However I went ahead and purchased the Auroral Choker. Not sure what's the exact T9 (and thus, future acc requirements) so the Auroral one may be useful or required over the High Allagan.

Just purchased Auroral Tabard yesterday... and ran to MB for glamour prism immediately. Ugliest armor ever...

I was very eager for the Auroral Tabard right from the start too, but then after seeing the photos of players donning it, I think my current glamour is better :p

I highly don't recommend getting the Auroral Tabard first. sitting on 2.1 BiS accuracy (476? i think game is in maint.) + Deviled eggs (bringing me to 485 or somethin) i still missed 3pct of all my hits in t6 and t7.

In order to hit the new accuracy cap, I had switch to hero's bracelet and lava toad legs.

I would buy the Auroral Sash and wrists now. The sash has the same stats as the Hero's Belt (but more obviously) and the wrists give a much needed boost to accuracy while keeping some crit as well.

Turn 6 also drops the High Allagan boots...When you get these, you should be fine to purchase the chest w/o a big loss in accuracy or switch back to the much cheaper Deviled Eggs

good point i was debating this. what is the accuracy on t6/t7 as per your estimation?

For Turn 6 I think it's around the same as T5. Never missed by attacking from the back with around 475 on my BRD, no ideas about the other jobs. Don't think they're going to be that different from the previous numbers though. Still have to check T7.

I opted for Earrings and Sash personally. You lose a bit of Crit for the Hero's earrings but you gain a bit of accuracy that's definetely going to be needed sooner or later.

well the earring and wrist have the same stats...i chose the wrist because the earrings i had already equiped(hero's) already had accuracy and the wrist(inferno) did not.

Note: some attacks on t6 were from the front, given that u run around him sometimes to break thorns and stuff. the 3-4 pct miss on t7 is all from the back

Actually if you had the Allagan Trousers of Aiming and Ring of Aiming, your accuracy woes for T6 would not be an issue.

That's why when 2.2 starts I told myself, screw it, I'm gonna do master recipe and weave myself an accuracy trousers lol :p

Was messing around in T7 and you need about 490 accuracy to not miss at all. 485 i was still missing.

This is correct. The accuracy requirements are pretty tough in the later turns. I was running around 490+ in T9 and was missing. I would recommend getting as much accuracy as you can, which might require using Lava Toad Legs. I'll try and do some testing tonight and see what I can come up with.

493 accuracy tad low imo, would take allagan choker, auroral ear and auroral ring.

Food can solve any current accuracy issues just fine. In the case of the eventual BIS list, I could see how the Auroral Earrings could be better (especially if the stat weights above are correct).

I'm glad I subscribed to this thread...

Anyway, my FC has yet to beat T5 and I'm about 240 soldiery away from the new body piece. Should I just wait until I get 900 and buy two accessories instead? I see some of you don't think the body is the best upgrade.

My current build is

Full myth on left side (want to replace the myth feet with allagan once it drops) and then myth earring, allag choker, myth bracelet, ultima (-_-) ring, and myth ring. Acc sitting somewhere around 466-478.

I would switch to Auroral Earrings as well, 13 Critical Hit Rate is better than 19 Skill Speed, the extra accuracy is even a nice bonus just in case you should need it on higher tiers. Also, why are you using Buttons in a Blanket in a BiS for food, Assuming you are using this set, the difference between Buttons in a Blanket versus Deviled Eggs is 15 Critical Hit Rate vs. 15 Determination. Because of the massive reduction in Critical hit Rate we get in 2.2 Apkallu Omelette actually gives the same Critical Hit Rate as Deviled Eggs but with more VIT. But with the old Critical Hit Rate we used in 2.1 would give 3 more until you get this set.

Deviled Eggs would give:

24 Crit (cap 24) Max stat required: 480
17 VIT (cap 14) Max stat required: 350
9 Acc (cap 10) Max stat required: 500

Apkallu Omelette would give:

24 Crit (cap 27) Max stat required: 540
22 VIT (cap 19) Max stat required: 380
9 Acc (cap 11) Max stat required: 550


Button in a Blanket would give:

15 Determination (cap 16) Max stat required: 320
17 VIT (cap 15) Max stat required: 375
9 Crit (cap 10) Max stat required: 500


Black Truffle Risotto would give:

15 Determmination (cap 17) Max stat required: 340
22 VIT (cap 19) Max stat required: 380
9 Crit (cap 11) Max stat required: 550


Lava Toad Legs would give:

24 Acc (cap 27) Max stat required: 540
22 VIT (cap 19) Max stat required: 380
9 Crit(cap 11) Max stat required: 550

The numbers on the left are based on the set you posted in ariyala but with the Auroral Earrings. If the number on the left is over the cap, just look at the cap to see what you would get, I just put how much it would give you if there was no cap.

With the Auroral Earrings and Apkallu Omelette you still have 511 Critical Hit Rate, and though you may or may not need it all, actually innately comes with 510 Accuracy.

Hi everyone! Before I make my Soldiery purchase for the week, I wanted to check with you guys on something. I need a bit more accuracy for T6 and beyond (still no Allagan pants T_T) , and given that all left-side Soldiery gear besides the chest and the belt are absolute garbage, I'm going to be purchasing accessories. I'm currently leaning towards the Auroral Ring because whether or not I like the itemization of it (skill speed) it remains our only option for our second ring slot. Here's my issue: The Auroral Choker has the same amount of accuracy on it but swaps Determination for Skill Speed, however as far as I'm aware it is not listed as BiS in any of the sets posted around here. It's a great piece, but it would ultimately be a temporary upgrade; I'd prefer to buy for longevity if at all possible.

Am I correct in assuming that there is no situation that we'd prefer the Auroral Choker to the High Allagan alternative, besides a massive accuracy requirement for T9? Thanks!

Bought waist on day 1. Then realized that belt is from T6 and it dropped for me. lol FML.

Well i got boots AND gloves this week....accuracy is sitting at 531 unbuffed. need to drop some. Guess I'm buying the chest next week,

Hi new on this Bard thread. Seems like crit hit is missing from a good amount of the Auroral gear. Only Body, ear and wrist has crit :(. I know accuracy is important but look I'll be spending most of my new tomes on my 2nd jobs after I gewt all the new crit gear.
