Yay back on the forums! Let's get this discussion back on fire!
Just started playing Pathfinder a few months ago, and would love to do this.
Only reason I can think of NOT to do this would be all the clipping issues with the gear (pieces overlapping, Miquote tail issues, etc).
This would rock so, SO hard.
Not sure how elaborate they could get, but just the idea of having one's FFXIV character up next to the other FF figurines they've released over the years is just...satisfying.
I'd pay more money than I probably ever should for it.
I think it'd be a nightmare to manufacture with how much vanity is available, but I'd buy it.
+1
WoW lets you use any armor set and combo you want if I recall correctly, so I think it'd be doable.
I saw somewhere someone mentioned clipping issues, that would be adjusable by having the models limited to a pre-made emote frozen in one spot or standstill.
Make this happen SE, so I can so "shut up and take my money."
Great idea, I would get one
I would very easily drop a couple hundred on something like this, if the quality and coloring was good.
I doubt this will ever happen sadly... As much as I would love to have my character made into a 3d figure... The amount of effort it would take for a single character is not worth any kind of affordable amount.
PVC and resin figurines are hand sculpted by professionals hence why they are so stunning and beautiful and their single figurine is mass produced and makes a lot of profit. If characters from a game were made, it could be possible but the sheer amount of demands would make such a trade impossible without: limiting the amounts of purchases available, making it insanely expensive or making cheaper figures.
WoW offered the service for a very limited time to a very limited amount of people and the figures were not insanely beautiful. Sure it had a sentimental value but it's nothing compared to other kinds of figures out there :(
I liked this a million years ago. When I was still playing FF7 I always said. I want a FF figurine to call my own. Like a Cloud, but less emo, more bad-assery.. So like my DAE (Digital Alter Ego)
I'd gladly pay for one of my character. In a heartbeat~
The thing is SE doesn't support this.
If anyone makes money off it other than them, they would not approve it, it would have to be free but then SE would not let that happen also because its cutting into something they could possibly make money off of.

I really wish this is something that SE would consider in the near future.
I'd like to share something I made a couple of months ago. I modelled a miniature version of my own character from scratch and 3D printed it with the help of a friend working in the 3D printing industry. I'm pretty proud of the result:

They can get someone to 3D print/sculpt a behemoth for a ride at fan fest. Can't get something set up for 3D prints of characters. *Sigh* to have better access to a model viewer and ability to export to srt and get a statue CNCed...
/SIGNED ! So Hardly Signed.
Would love this!
I want this but I want it a step further, I want pose-able action figures, twith joints and different heads/faces for expressions. >w>
I saw this post when it originally was posted, and I loved the idea. Now that it is back up, I need to indorse it. Please do this SE!!! Thanks!
I would probably pay for this too, that would be so neat.
Ummm, yes. I want.
I would love this :)
In the signing session for VIP members at fanfest (NA) the person infront of me asked Koji to ask Yoshida about this, the answer was that they were looking into it and were sorting out some issues with the meshing to finalize things.
I would LOVE this, it's ok if they're expensive, most people would be happy with one. It would be worth it...and they would make amazing presents!
Even if expensive, I'd most certainly slap some cash down for quality figures of my character(s) o_o (probably all of them, over time >_> All....4, possibly 5 of them...)
Though, I'd have to settle on a single armor/outfit/job/etc set for the character to be represented with...
....but only up to a certain point... something like $500 for a small splat of colored plastic is a bit much, for me
I would be all over this if they do it.
Please keep hope alive !!!
Yeah, I'd certainly be interested in this. My MNK has been sporting the same glamour for a while and I would love to have my character sitting on my living room table...
I would soo.... Love to do this >~< please let it happen!
pleaso do.
I'd totally get some
I would survive off of white rice for months to afford one if I had to. :o
Make it a thing SE! ;)
Can we get an official response to this? I would LOVE my avatar sitting there next to me on my desk while playing!!
this would be horrifying for my wallet
i'd be curled up in a corner surrounded by miniatures of my character in numerous poses slowly descending into madness
....please implement this squee :D
Sorry for make this thread float again but...
THIS!!!!!!!!!!
I was looking for a thread like this before opening a new one. This recently got through my head, I will totally pay for a 3D printed model of my character. Now there are apps to extract the models from the game, maybe its not that hard to try a DIY print.
If I were SquareEnix this is a win-win situation. Please, make it happen!
TAKE MY MONEY!!!!!!!
GOD YES PLEASE !
- Noomy approves of this idea very VERY much!
Im all for this, it has to happen.
OMG i would really get this if they ever do it. Who knows. Maybe in the future we have something to look forward to on this subject :D.
But for now. I've been thinking about maybe modeling my own character myself and then have it printed out. Now it will be very expensive to hire someone to model your character from reference images. But if you are able to do some character modelling yourself it might be worth the effort if you really want a statue.
Yes, yes, yes... 1000x Yes!
Please make this happen!
I'd love to have a 5" or 6" statuette of my character here on my desk :D
