Ramza. (Final Fantasy Tactics).
Nothing specific, just everything about him and his story.

(Semi FFT spoilers).

I also liked Ajora, quite a bit. He had quite a background and a lot of story.
A whole world could be created around him. I would kill for a FF video game where you can play in his original time-line, either as him or his "partner" who later, much like Delita, betrays him for a "greater" good.

I don't exactly have a favorite character, but Steiner is up there. Such a well written character... Him and Vivi were both pretty cool.

Hint: It wasn't 'killed Aeris', though that was pretty horrible, you'd still do it if you were him because she was the only actual threat to him and his plans.

Another hint: It has a lot to do with the event immediately preceding Aeris' murder. Do you remember what that was?

(Sephiroth was a horrible bastard and it rustles my jimmies that no one remembers the whole story as to why)

I'm sure you've never played FFCC... Yes Sephiroth made a lot of bad things on FF7, but he wasn't really bad. Discovering his true story made him a mad guy, he was not the hero Sephiroth anymore... I like Sephiroth, but not because he was evil, but for the hero he once were. (think of him like Anakin Skywolker xD)
